As a breast cancer survivor and lactose intolerance, dairy free and soy free products have gotten tastier over the years. However, whey has estrogen, it's a no for me. Hopefully they come up with an estrogen free alternative. As long as it's environmentally protective and will not cause health problems to us in the long-term, I'm for it.
it's entirely possible this lab-produced whey doesn't contain estrogen, or at least contains less than whey from a cow, since the microorganisms use a completely different biological process to create it.
Whey only has estrogen when the cows that produce it are fed soy. Soy is the original source of the estrogen in question. If there isn't any soy involved, there probably isn't any estrogen.
@@Sillydilly321 Our bodies make estrogen, a hormone, to keep our reproductive and other internal systems humming along. Our body’s estrogen is different from the type of estrogen found in soy, which is called phytoestrogren. Soy- It’s made of isoflavones, which are a type of plant estrogen. @FEC Multimedia Their are wild varieties of cow ,pigs and other farm animals. Most of farm animals are genetically engineered to become more fat and resistant to herd diseases.
@FEC Multimedia Current pigs, cows, sheep, and chickens in farms have been bred to grow fast and produce more than their bodies can handle. @FEC Multimedia This is the norm, not an exception. Let me know if you want examples, or feel free to look up standard farm practices. There's no kind way to obtain dairy from animals: they can't consent, they're abused, forcefully inseminated, confined, tortured and killed.

If the meat and dairy industry are eliminated they will be adopted into sanctuaries. The only reason they’re overpopulated is due to human intervention for mass production for our consumption but once those industries stop nature will run it’s course and the population will return to more of a normal level.
Well I hope so. The dairy industry is not kind to cows and is bad for the environment. We have the technology to shift from animal products to substitutes.
Plant based alternatives match the texture and taste already, plus until we see the nutritional facts I would venture to say plant based alternatives are also more nutritious and a better source of natural sugar.

Thats the thing, this isn't plant based. Its microbe based. They use microbes, yeast in this instance, to create the substances and proteins of dairy milk WITHOUT the cows. Its almost identical to dairy-milk except they can tailor it to cut out the cholesterol and lactose to make it healthier. This technology isn't new. Most medications, most famously insulin, have been made this way since the 1980s.

not sure about that, sounds like a way of producing food that governments or even worse, one government could monopolize and therefore having control over the whole population. The ideal solution would be to promote local farms that respect the environment and provide fresh products, and to encourage self sufficiency. >They eat the sugar and convert it into the protein that we care about Sorry, but NO, that's not how this works. Proteins contain nitrogen and sulfur, elements that are not present in the sugars. For the proteins to be created, there should be some other sources - ammonia sulfate at least, free amino acids at most, depending on the special traits of these exact microbes (hope they can utilize the simpler sources, otherwise it's basically useless). Yeah, but still they don't need that much as dairy from animals or plant-based milk, animals need the water to grow/live, the plants need the water for grow and to make the plant-based milk you need more water then. This lab-grow option could offers an actual solution and to control a lot better the water need it for every use/recipe

@@Sillydilly321 that's interesting, I've never heard this before. can you point me to where you learned this so I can read more about it?
@@Sillydilly321 Our bodies make estrogen, a hormone, to keep our reproductive and other internal systems humming along. Our body’s estrogen is different from the type of estrogen found in soy, which is called phytoestrogren. Soy- It’s made of isoflavones, which are a type of plant estrogen. It is structurally different from the estrogen in our bodies, and plant-based estrogen does not convert into the estrogen our bodies make when we eat it. And it's also such factors as the good bacteria (sure milk gets pasyroized but you get the point.. lots of dery needs to be fermented such as yogurt for example
And it's important to mimic that perfectly..
It's not just the proteins in the milk but everything has to be accounted for the sugars the minerals vitamins amino acides etc..)
Try Nancy's Oat Milk yogurt. And read the label first.
How are synthetic nucleotides produced? What about the microflora, how are they fed when they reproduce? What about the ingredients for the fermentation tank, where does that organic material come from?
I guarantee that this synthetic dairy is still plant-based. The organic material needs to come from somewhere. They conveniently left out this fact, to make it sound like the stuff has no environmental impact at all. It's probably in the same ballpark as other milk alternatives, maybe worse, because otherwise they would've included the information.
True
not zero true, but plants do not make methane, which is 300 times more greenhouse gas than co2, see it like this: 1 ton of cow is less efficent than 1 ton of cells? why? cows have brain, organs and activity, cells are 100% productive, so it is always more efficent, also u dont need antibiotics or hormones that can pollute the milk, also it is much easier to genetically select cells than cows, so not only efficiency is increased but also chemical control over milk is achieved, so unless people like flatearthers think about mindcontrolmeds there is nothing bad

💯 What could help price parity would be for governments to divert the current enormous subsidies (taxpayers' dollars) paid to animal ag to non-animal food industries which are not founded on cruelty.
Their lives are miserable, they're sick and their bones break, and they're killed at a fraction of their lifespans. It would be a kindness to no longer breed them into existence.
@FEC Multimedia This is the norm, not an exception. Let me know if you want examples, or feel free to look up standard farm practices. There's no kind way to obtain dairy from animals: they can't consent, they're abused, forcefully inseminated, confined, tortured and killed.
@FEC Multimedia I gain and profit nothing by sharing this information with you. On the other hand, the animal ag industry profits ($$$) greatly by keeping you in the dark so you remain a customer. Like I said though, feel free to look up this info yourself in documentaries: veterinarian guidelines, RSPCA, etc. There's no such thing as a happy cow on a dairy farm green meadow. This is just what the industry wants you to believe so your conscience doesn't get in the way of their profits.

Thats the thing, this isn't plant based. Its microbe based. They use microbes, yeast in this instance, to create the substances and proteins of dairy milk WITHOUT the cows. not sure about that, sounds like a way of producing food that governments or even worse, one government could monopolize and therefore having control over the whole population. Sorry, but NO, that's not how this works. Proteins contain nitrogen and sulfur, elements that are not present in the sugars. Yeah, but still they don't need that much as dairy from animals or plant-based milk, animals need the water to grow/live, the plants need the water for grow and to make the plant-based milk you need more water then. This lab-grow option could offers an actual solution and to control a lot better the water need it for every use/recipe
GMO is fine
I only want to know if they become gmo or something else. I'm not judging.
