idk how many years people have been asking but like its about time they add a bezier stroke. 3d coat already has it and its so useful especially for stuff like this
Awesome! Of all the tutorials on the subject of how to use Anchor Points, this was by far the best, for me anyway. I had trouble following most of the other tutorials. This one is so easy to follow, Perfect, thank you.
I know no one asked for my opinion too (: , but they both are more than amazing, we know Wes, but Emiel has created excellent CG content (Environment-related mostly) this year
Thank you for this, great way and looks ace, I have an issue when I do it though, my stitches are no where near as sharp as yours and I have tried even with an 8k map, they are still burry and flat looking. Do you have any advice for this?
@hung8582 Hey, thanks for the reply. On my UV's are a shirt and pants, but I don't want one uv for each item of clothing, was just wondering if I was missing something, but I guess it is what it is, more uvs better quality or less uvs and less quality
@@ashleythornton3606 another thing to check is under texture set setting, make sure the texture size is as high as your computer can handle. its really hard to know without seeing it. but good luck!
Thanks, tried at a 4k and 8k texture, I have now even tried to just have the shirt on the UV alone but the quality of the stitches are still poor, also when I use a material (mainly smart) or when i make my own. The stitches don't sit above it. The material underneath mixes with the stitch.
Thanks for showing these techniques+tips. Is it possible next time to show the texture list and also the uv unwrap (2d view)? I always find this interesting how things are setup. I missed that now ;-)
6:52 its not work as i thought... the masked mesh still obstruct the painting.... i wonder is there an another clean way with direct painting in a case like this?

Did the narrator change to Emiel Sleegers?

Emiel is also working with us to create video's, alongside the usual (and more) people.
What is that really nice accent?🤩
bro is hundred percent german
@@kagan8579 sounds more Dutch, I think :)
I live in the Netherlands, when you go to Amsterdam or Rotterdam sometimes people there speak english.
Any plan on fixing the baking system?
What would you have to do to erase I tried to erase but it kept the deform and everything else in the layers?
Nice! but may I get the stitches that you've used in the video as I can't find them at my Substance Painter?

just a quick thought, but it might be your UVs on that surface are too small. try to scale it up.

where are the files to follow along?
Hi! You can find the files linked in the description or here adobe.ly/3SsAipU.
Why when I corner/make a curve then the brush paint multiple stitches in one place, mostly where the corner is.

You can download the mesh and check it out yourself!
@@Substance3D Oke, thanks so much that's really cool.

How can I change the color of the stitches afterwards? Can I?
Clearly I needed to watch all of it!

Yes, sorry wasn't shown, but there's a button to have the masked mesh not block painting. Top right above the viewport.
@@Substance3D can't find the button. Could you be more specific? 7.4.0 version.Thank you in advance.
@@Substance3D ok, got it. It is called 'Hide/Ignore excluded geometry'
