Ever wanted to sound like a broken record? Well I might have the thing for you... WILL IT CHUG?
Keep that pedal when Nintendo calls 4 soundtracks 😎
No
Angry bees more like
The expressions on your face were priceless! Lol
Ola, that thing should have been called the 'Incredible Salad'.
Very nice transparent overdrive. Doesn’t color your sound too much. Sounds like it’d be great for John Mayer style leads. This may be the pedal I’ve been looking for, thanks Ola!
Im just a big internet dummy who doesn't get jokes in the morning.
@@BDJones055 sarcasm. sheesh.
@@BDJones055 fookin genius right here.
@@replicated i didnt have my coffee. im sorry.
@@ninjaneer1974 @replicated i didnt have my coffee. im sorry.
Let's be real, we all knew the answer to this particular question before we clicked the video, but we all came here anyway to watch Ola's eyebrows reach heights not previously thought possible.
Good thing he showed us the clean tones he was using!!!
This is exactly correct.
Didn't think it possible but this thing kinda sounds 😎
You right, I knew I was gonna hear doodoo before I clicked
Compared to all the other videos, his expressions are pretty similar, but what made this video wonderful was those expressions, on top of the strange sounds emerging, made it seem like he was descending into a hallucination experience. Hilarious!
Favorite moment: 5:04
I’d use this pedal for a riff. Like, just one riff. And everyone would go
“woah nice”
Same
Woah. Nice
Yeah, it is kinda like a one trick pony you can use to spice up 1 song. Well, maybe a couple, as I think it does have multiple usable settings.
it’s like a dance gavin dance intro riff effect and then you don’t hear it for the rest of the song but it made you think
“thats pretty cool”
or gets the crowd cheering in the first 20 seconds because a d v a n c e d g u I t a r
Bro put this thing in a modular synth system and you've got your bitcrusher glitchy thing to spice up your sequences. Modify it in order to receive CV, combine it eith a vocoder and a delay module and you've got a nice eurorack system
Jack White would love this pedal.
I love how it sounds like an old Nintendo system catching fire and self destructing.
Yeah Jack already has his own pedal that he sells to the public through his Third Man Records website that sounds like the Data Corrupter. Jack's pedal is called the Mantic Flex Pedal through his brand Third Man Hardware.
I agree sounds like a 80s Nintendo game👍
Jack White actually have this pedal. Check the guitar solo of his song "Why walk a dog?"
@@amadeusvprozac That pedal he uses is the mantic flex that watcher zero mentioned. Justin Pearson of the locust also uses the legendary schumann PLL on his bass. PLLs FTW!
Fun fact: JD Pinkus (ex Melvins, ex Butthole Surfers) uses an Earthquaker Bit Commander pedal for his solo banjo work that was given to him by Jack White
Sounds like there's a lot of potential for SUPER grimy sludge/stoner type metal in there, that fuzz portion is monstrous, and mixing in the subharmonics it seems like it'll really live up to that Earthquaker name. Imagine it going into a full stack or split off into a bass cabinet, holy shit.
The member who suggested this is a sludge-wizz...
Æ Ola is h3r3
Matt Pike used one, for end of show shenanigans
The very first sound I heard when he upped the volume reminded me of Clouds Taste Satanic's tone.
reminded me of Earth 2
"I don't know what's happening, but I LIKE it," basically summed it all up for me right there
Lol saw this comment just as he said it in the video!!
I believe this is how you connect your guitar to AOL.
90% will have no idea what you’re on about lol
@@Buttface1981 ahaha ahaha ahahahahaha wow ur so funny, only 10% of everyone on the internet has heard a dial up modem AHAHAHAHAHA
Completely agree. Sounds like Mesa created the ultimate 9600baud modem that goes to 11.
@@Skoomz Bizarre. Don't let comments get to you so much, man.
@@endlesswanderer1753 i think i was super stoned that night
Gotta love a pedal company that releases a pedal that sounds like it’s broken. In the right hands, not mine, it could do some amazing things.
We used it for intro's and outros; stage noise. Twist the knobs, kill it, burst into brutality.
Same, used it on a looper between songs too, no dead noise when tuning, etc…
As I read this comment at 6:55, you can hear Ola playing something that sounds exactly like "And Hell Followed With". I think it's called Mara, they do a lot of the same style of affect it sounds like your band does!
Definitely a great idea, especially for live applications. Thanks for spreading the knowledge!
@@phryge2468 It’s capable of so much more than Ola demonstrated. One mistake I see a lot of people make is that you are only supposed to use one note at a time and never more, no chords not even power chords or at least in my opinion, you might be able to do something with chords but I found a single note at a time to work best.
Ola's face when he turns up that third knob: WTF is this pedal?
To quote R. Lee Ermey, What the fuck is that?
@@Captain_Zero_ A jelly donut.
@@MrJam1001 jelly filled doughnuts are my favourite
Ola also hates it
Please combine it with Korg Miku!!! We all need to hear those two in action together... 😂
So glad I want the only person to have this thought..
"Im not a smart man...but i know what chug is" 😆 the look on your face dude!! This is the best episode in a while!
I Just love EQD pedals. The data corrupter is Just genius
Akron OH’s best!
Ola just playing around with shit and having that “whoah…” face is the best.
I can already foresee a song in his next solo album made exclusively with this pedal.
Also, this sounds like a tilted NES cartridge.
I just love the confused facial expressions. Absolutely hilarious! So glad I found your channel, Ola!!
Id say your the professor of chug! I have learned so much about tone from you. Part of my tone at home, is solely because of you Ola. I even have your metal pack and ir cabs on bias fx 2. I also use an RP255...which shreds....and chugs. Cheers
sounds like some retro game metal or something
The facial expressions are priceless OLa, genuine bewilderment at some of those sounds. Very entertaining and educational. Subscribed
Everyone else: wtf is going on ? Is it broken ? It doesn't chug 😭
EQD fans: 😏😏😏
Pretty tasty clean on that amp.
this sounds like the perfect thing if you want to put together a Nintendo-core/chiptune band.
Is this our first absolute “no” for will it chug?
There’s been some lack luster ones but this…
This was a new kind of fun.
I've had this pedal since it released...it's fun as hell.
Ola, do you consider urination a form of self-expression?
Video was released like 2 minutes ago and there's already a GOLD comment
Lmao what the fuck
what if you sample your urination and put it through metalzone
Urinate, then drink it and then let us know.
@@vkabanbest3343 what an I not getting here
Ola was clearly having fun I already see him writing stoner doom metal inspired songs with this pedal
Sounds like something the Melvins would use. King Buzzo ftw.
You are spot on. !!! Wow. The git guy in the Melvins, called in guitar on crack! Or anyone can pay guitar !
Buzzo actually demoed it in one of the Earthquaker first impressions videos
Ola playing metal, clean country, metal, fuzz, metal, broken video game soundcards, metal. Nice. \m/ The T style Solar through the clean channel of the Badlander sounded really good. Also, pretty much all EarthQuaker Devices pedals are awesome fun!
Pretty nice pedal! It's the type of sounds guitar players sometimes use when added in to drum and bass or other synth music styles. I bet you can make something amazing out of it
I’ve never laughed so much during Ola’s videos. And I laugh a lot during his videos
This is probably my favorite will it chug video
This was just Amazing !
Fuzz, Overdrive, and Distortion all open up various drive for music variety!!! ..and the way the guitar is played
This fuzz has a awesome octave sound like whitestripes rock tones!!!
Velcro Fuzz is the best kind of fuzz ;)
Love earthquaker, great pedals. This kinda does the talkbox sound with out having to have a hose in your mouth.
Peace and stay safe
This pedal sounds so wicked! Love it!
Listening to that with headphones was a trip
That...was amazing.
Please 1 hour demo.
That oscillator thing is so beautiful
Love that guitar 🔥🖤🔥
I adore the data corruptor. its definitely something you need to write with due to the restrictions of both the guitar and the pedal
"you can mix all these voices to create an incredible salad". 😅 PRICELESS!! Man I love some of the things that he comes up with.. and the faces.. oh man..
The pedal looks cool i realy like the Design
yea just design cool i agree
His face in this video perfectly sums up every product from Earthquaker that I've played or seen demoed.
My roommate got me this pedal and it is so much fun, tons of sounds in this thing.
Ola, I think this may have been the most hilarious Will It Chug ever! Sounds like the theme songs to Super Mario Bros., Zelda Halloween all wrapped up in a big 💨 lol. Lmao
I think Lou Reed made a entire album that
Had this sort of effect.
One song called the amine beta ring?
This is one of the coolest pedals ever. I highly recommend getting your hands on one.
It's nice to record sounds for retro games with this
Though it will never chug like a Boss HM-2, this pedal chugs in an early Melvins kind of way. To me there are endless possibilities, but get why most guitarists don't like it.
That pedal is insane 🤘!
hhahahaha. Ola's face at 2:28 is questioning his entire life choices up to this point. Thanks for the fun video
The incredible salad at the end or something similar sounds great for a slow melodic solo.
Wow.i really like it alot.very cool stuff.and a gnarly ass fuzz can be had w this.sound salad....lol.definarely Ola...right on man.
Wow i love this pedal because this pedal can use some kind of experimental thing to use to create some weird sounds
This thing is so fun!
Ola: "That's cool" Guitar: "Braawhgh"
This is so much fun
This is one of my favorite pedals
I like this much.
Would love you to try the Orange Fur Coat.
Awesome video Professor Chug! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Sounds Godzilly!
Hahah this is perfect. I love a pedal that makes everything sound broken and like sound is on acid and we aren’t.
This reminds me of an arcade I used to be hanging out back in late 80's and early 90's.
I think if you engage that thing on a fx loop that haves a fx mix knob and you blend it with a good chug sound could hit really hard and be unique sounding
I'm glad this is not on the Pedal frenzy section, masterpiece video
4:45 That was actually a nice riff and a good example of a practical use, sound would fit pretty well in some desert rock or psychedelic stoner
They should of called this pedal "The Tonal Fart Corruptor"
I can't 😆 Can't live without Ola man.
I could see this being useful for doing movie score work.
That's a scary crazy pedal! Though... it's not really a Chug pedal... it does make some gnarly sounds! I recently bought the Bit Commander... equally crazy cool pedal! I think it Chugs... kind of... and I could totally see you using them for some interesting part in a song! Chug on!😎🤘🎸
this pedal sounds like Mattias Ia Eklundh...i love it!
Pretty versatile pedal.... Its like a doomy Super Nintendo on a weird acid trip ...... I love it....\m/
Dude youre hilarious. i enjoy your chug channel. its great
Ola is a good salesman.. He made me buy a solar.. And now i think im kinda regretting it
Why ???? as I was thinking of buying one
@@Combustion47 dont get me wrong, i love my solar but there's A LOT of guitar companies upping the game with metal guitars right now
@@pablobonifacio8755 True, but I just wish brands like LTD would start using either graphite or GraphTech nuts. If Solar, Ibanez, and Schecter (among others) can do it, so can LTD.
@@nckhed yeah.. But they're putting real duncans... And changing nuts are cheaper....so yeah
Was the pedal made from a chip tuned atari 2600?
A one point I thought I was being sucked down a vortex💥love your reactions I would use it to make some trippy death metal👍⚡👹
The most incredible sallad I've ever heard
This sounds like something Mick Thomson would use. He's definitely into weird, crazy effect like this and I can totally see him come up with really sick sounding riffs with the Data Corrupter.
That was very... special 🤣🤘. Try out the Fuzztration from Wampler. This is a very good pedal for rock and may be for some kind of metal tones... 🤘.
I'm going to save up for this pedal, it's space rock in a box and I want it! \m/
Very interesting! Cool pedal
I'm terrible at guitar and dont have much experience with pedals, but my god I want this.
this pedal coluld make some really cool solos i can see it now
Indeed it sounds like a simplistic standard square wave ran thru a hella ancient Zoom 9002 & shit bass cab with a broken horn while the pitch shifter is stuck on.
That is some crazy sounding s*** there! At one point when you were fiddling around with the knobs it was making sounds like the old arcade game from the '80s robotron lol
The sound effect at 7:00 sounds like the effect dimebag used in strength beyond strength
So true
MUST HAVE ONE! (or TWO)
its a zvex fuzz factory / korg miku / dod death metal subosc all in one. funny demo. but what i’d really like to see is a vintage ehx micro synthesizer. that thing is an outer space riff machine
I could feel Ola being transported to a different universe
Lovely seeing a metal mind blown. Welcome to six string synthesis :D
This was so hilarious to watch at 0430 in the morning.
AYOOOOOO!!! 4:48 AMAZING
Nick Reinhart, guitarist/singer for Tera Melos, uses the hell out of EQD pedals like this. He and Juan Alderete run a UA-cam channel called Pedals and Effects (but haven't been active in a long time since Alderete got hit by a car last year).
Damn, I thought they were just not uploading due to the pandemic, didn't know Alderete got into an accident.
Like that Sallad-Tune!
Just adding this to the others. Yes Ola, you are The Professor of Chug
Thank you. I have one on my pedalboard. Before it,a Korg Miku,,after it a Keeley Loomer 😂
This is the funniest one yet!! 😂
I love weird pedals... it's like my pitchfork/monosynth/superfuzz/Delay experiments...
Was waiting for you to scream "ITS ALIVE!!!!" lmfao
