I love how hard Nick Reinhart geeks out especially when it comes to pitch shifting. Every time he starts explaining why he chose specific octaves I feel like I'm taking a trip back to math class.
Nick is everywhere lately, I love it
that smoke in the face shot
"Cacophony of Gnarliness" was my band in high school
I love how Nick casually hypothesizes guitar effects chains while he's driving. Slowly but surely becoming one of my favorite guitar players, and the perfect person to send into the beautiful, terrifying, and uncharted lands of an Earthquaker Device.
So true, one doesn't play the Data Corrupter, the Data Corrupter plays you. LOL
Nick, very cool stuff
my grandmothers hat was once a government minister for a flamingo.
....but did it cure smallpox??!?
I haven't seen you play the Rainbow machine with an exp pedal yet...where I think it really shines...the data corruptor sounds just unreal!
Always good man, loving the sounds.
Nick talking about earthquaker is my fucking wet dream
thanks for watching!
Love the data corrupter + rainbow machine combo :)
Can’t wait to try it in the loop of a SuperEgo.
ooh, that would be fun!
Can't wait to try it with a Lyra-8......
That would be cool. I need to try that. I’ve been using my Afterneath in the loop of the SuperEgo and getting some incredible other worldly pads.
It is interesting but I have some questions despite reading the description closely.
So the subharmonic (although lower in pitch) it is shifted to the selection of intervals as if going up or down?
Example: if the source is a C and major third is selected, will the subharmonic pitch be shifted to a major third up to an E or to a Major third down to an A flat?
Thanks to anyone who can answer.
Sorry if this is obvious but I've never had more than one or two pitch shifters let alone one with a subharmonic signal.
this thing with the DFAM or any percussive tool is where i think it shines like a reall shiney thing.
Any new or weird pedal. Paired with rainbow Machine demos. Never fails
I don't have all these fancy pedals nor the money to afford such but what happens if you ran through the reverse delay first then data corrupt that iam curious as to how responsive it is to delayed notes or if you can play notes that don't fluctuate as much to get smooth synths tones
great that you are curious, barely none of us have the money
As a guess, it would probably track poorly dealing with the delays
Great demo,i just got this pedal and love it....Also use it with a rainbow machine and avalanche run:).....What guitar is that please?
It's an MIJ Jazzmaster reissue
Ok Thank You. And thank you for all the cool pedals :)
Got mine a couple of days ago. There doesn't appear to be any "wet/dry" facility for mixing in the straight guitar signal..? Meh, love it anyway, my third ED pedal.
Pete Townshend wants his...Marshall 8x12 back?? 😱😱♥️
WHAAAT NO WAY this is my exact setup!!!
Jees get this guy a chair
The DC demos make a somewhat chaotic impression on me. That said, I am probably going to use it in a more subtle way :P
suit yourself!
does it tske cv?
It does not. Sorry!
EarthQuakerDevices it should for Ze eurorack crowd
is it difficult to implement cv into a pedal? out of curiosity
it's not impossibly difficult, but in this case there's already so much going on that the extra R&D time, longer build time per pedal, and the additional parts cost would likely make the Data Corrupter too expensive for most folks
EarthQuakerDevices totes understand, it isn't like they csn't talk to eachother in different way
Cooool !!!
First comment = free pedal ;-)
You guys should stick with one mic, best bet being a ribbon. It's a lil phasey
This pedal is a problem child, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Normality is sooo overrated.
That's sound terrible
oh, cool. thanks!
i think it sounds fucking killer, but i love noisy music. tera melos rule
i've bought three EQD pedals but this has grabbed my attention instantly. once im not broke, i might have a new favorite stompbox :DD
idov shai - For us freaky sound lovers, EarthQuaker is king
If you're into that kind of stuff...
*That sound's terrible. It actually sounds awesome but grammar is important
