Adopt new sources of guidance if you can! People who inspire you, people who give good advice, people who are wise and have experience of living. You don't even have to know them in real life, they can be authors, painters, musicians, teachers, scientists, religious or spiritual figures or whatever. They can be books or movies or podcasts. Guidance doesn't have to come from one place or person. I know it's not the same thing as real parental figures, but it's still useful as hell.

Problem was that being 21-22 at the time, I didn't take my addiction as seriously as I should have and felt that I could take care of it on my own and eventually stopped going. It took another 4 years of being an addict and coming out to my mom about my problems for me to take recovery seriously and started therapy back up again Jan 2021 and now, while have had some isses inbetween, am roughly about 4 months clean. I never could have done it without the help of my mom and my therapist

    I would say:
-Standing up for yourself will threaten people. Don't let that stop you from standing up for yourself.
-Your life doesn't have to look like the lives of other young guys in tv and movies (endless dates and girlfriends, muscular physique, party every weekend, lots of traveling) for your life to matter.

I 100% relate to the girl speaking at 2:50 - some of us have parents who didn't know to tell us that we're enough, and that REALLY is something I still struggle with at age 29. I wish every day that I could just flip a switch and step into myself and my confidence and self worth and take up space without doubting myself even for a second. But we move, we work towards it.

      Baby read the Bible.
Read it through the Bible app
Either than that; protect your spirit
      Damn; believe in something.
Weather crystals or Buddha or whatever
But your spirit is the most important

My advice to my younger self: don't listen to mom, always trust dad, transfer to a different elementary school that doesn't make you wear uniforms, take taekwondo lessons when you're in middle school, be patient with your little brother, go to that cute boy's birthday party or else you'll regret it, don't screw up your Instagram password, get good grades so you don't go to summer school, don't kiss that senior on your last week as a freshman at high school in front of the guy you love even though you're going through peer pressure, take driving lessons the summer after 9th grade, stay in choir and attend 3 concerts so that you'll be in choir junior year and senior year, take AP classes junior year to avoid being surrounded by idiots and apply to colleges, only pay for yourself, attend any football game with your friends, and don't jaywalk or else you'll miss out on the best times of your life: prom and senior week.
