- To get a firsthand experience, I headed to Portugal to test drive the 2024 BMW iX2 xDrive30, the top model in the iX2 lineup. It’s important to note that the BMW iX2 will not be available for sale in the United States.
The BMW iX2’s underfloor-mounted battery pack has a usable capacity of 64.8 kWh. The iX2 xDrive30 is expected to achieve a range of 259 to 279 miles (417 to 449 kilometers) in the WLTP cycle, which is an increase of nearly six extra miles (9 kilometers) over the iX1.
The BMW iX2 xDrive30 delivers good performance, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 5.6 seconds, though its top speed is electronically limited to 112 mph (180 km/h). The crossover benefits from a dual-motor setup, mirroring the power found in the iX1 xDrive30, with a combined output of 313 hp (230 kW) and 364 lb-ft (494 Nm).

Ix2 for the coupe styled car looks sexy
It appears that cost-cutting measures are evident across various aspects: absence of ambiance lights in the rear doors, lack of lighting in the glove box, absence of an iDrive controller, cheap cup holders, and no open roof option (only panorama), due to a focus on the Chinese market. Additionally, concerns arise regarding the modest range, charging speed, and acceleration for the eDrive20 (8.6 seconds to 100 km/h).

I don’t miss the iDrive on the iX1, except for the easier map zoom in and out. Lack of AC buttons and an incredibly complicated heating setup more tangible
Range, charging speed and performance is such a disappointment.
They will need to heavily discount it at the dealer to sell this turd.

Horatiu, Maybe you can shine some light here. We are trying to get 3 BMWs for our family in the U.S.
As of February 25, 2024, the U.S. dealers stopped taking orders for the 2024 BMW X5, X6, X7, iX, and M4 because now they are selling 2025 BMW X5, X6, X7, iX, and M4 model year.
Unfortunately, when you go to BMWUSA, they are still selling all 2024 model year and not the 2025. This has been confusing because when you build the BMW on the BMWUSA’s website to share the Build Code with the dealer, they can’t process it because they are selling the 2025 model year.
According to the dealer, the prices have gone up and the packages and options have changed, which adds additional layers of confusion. To complicate it more, the BMWUSA has taken all the rebates and incentives away. You almost don’t want to order a car.
Can you advise?

I don't know for sure, but it's likely this: The allocations for 2024 are not available anymore, but at the same time, they did not update the website with the latest prices and packages.
Bad mistake IMHO that iX1 and iX2 not imported to US and Canada !
