@@rebelfriend20 What do you mean weird? Armin Meiwes searched online for someone who wants to be eaten, because he had a mental disorder after getting told he lived of his twin brother in the womb. He never felt whole, so he thought if he ate someone else, he would become a whole human again. His victim had a mental disorder as well and ate parts of himself before dying. This case is very tragic and Armin Meiwes will never be free again (that does not happen very often in Germany). He is the cannibal of Rothenburg.

@@tornoutlaw well he is a tall man with deep eyes, wearing all black... But that's it. I talked almost an hour with him about art, the paint and paper he's using and he even spent me a wine.
He had a new coorpartion with a dutch singer on "Bloodbylge" where one can experience him from a dark but surprisingly quiet side. And even on Lindys solo album "Seafarer" he's appearing.

My suggestion would be “Mein Herz Brennt (Live at Download Festival UK 2016)” as I find it to be more interesting vocally than the typical suggestions like “Mein Teil” (amazing stage show) and “Du Hast” (incredible audience energy) but that might be just me. Most intimidating in the video, probably Gaahl, though he's kind of an interesting guy (openly gay in the Norwegian metal scene, e.g.), there's some legit sense of threat there (past prison sentences for assault, too, though he's mellowed). Whereas a guy like Tom Araya just always comes across as a genuinely nice, supportive guy offstage (in fact, in my experience Slayer concerts are pretty friendly, supportive environments even if everybody has lots of tattoos and leather and shaggy hair and so forth).
Most intimidating not on the list: Varg Vikernes. Because he's a violent, racist psychopath for reals.
Favorite metal vocalists: Bruce Dickinson is the best. Nobody holds the stage and fills a big arena like him. And a sweet, funny guy as well. I really liked Phil Anselmo (Pantera), I like Mike Akerfeldt (Opeth). There are a lot more good young female metal singers now, including Tatiana Shmaylyuk (Jinjer), Rikke Emilie List (Konvent), and Cammie Gilbert (Oceans of Slumber).

As intimidating as Gaahl looked in that short clip, which was the whole point, he was a pretty impressive frontman when he was in Gorgoroth, a very distinctive vocal, not just the scream, had a very good clean singing as well, if you wanted to look into him further, one song comes to mind is "Frofetens Aperbaring", the whole song's in Norwegian, but does a lot of that song in a very operatic baritone voice, he's able to do a lot with his voice, you might be surprised!

Although most people probably can't see past his insane live performances and are intimidated - or put off - by his intense vocals, if you make it through to any of the more melodic or jazzy parts in The Dillinger Escape Plan's songs you'll find that this guy is insanely versatile. It's an acquired taste, I guess - but definitely the most visceral singer/performer I've ever come across. His mind is very out there due to mental illness. He can be super friendly and be kind of a troll in one interview and then be absolutely unsettling and mean in another. Gorgoroth are part of the infamous Norwegian black metal scene, which is the only music scene that makes gangsta rappers look like choirboys. Gaahl was twice incarcerated, once for torturing a guy for 6 hours. In the early 1990’s a number of crimes in Norway, including murders and church burnings, were connected to bands like Mayhem, Burzum, and Emperor. At one point in time, three of the four members of Emperor were in prison simultaneously. Plus there was the infamous suicide of Mayhem vocalist Dead. The picture of the crime scene was later featured as the cover of one of their albums. There are a number of documentaries, books, and movies about this music scene such as “Lords of Chaos”, “Until the Light Takes Us”, etc.

    #8 Till Lindemann:
During Rammstein's early years, because of his use of over-the-top pyrotechnics, Lindemann has burned his ears, hair and arms.[15] Band mate Christoph Schneider commented, "Till gets burned all the time, but he likes the pain."[15]
During the filming of the band's music video for "Ich tu dir weh", Lindemann wanted a light put in his mouth to create a visually stunning effect.[25] Band mate Paul Landers suggested that he use a flesh colored wire and run it along his cheek to shine a light into his mouth from the outside.[25] Lindemann refused, and instead opted to have a surgical incision in his left cheek, so that a light could be fed into his mouth directly, and largely out of sight.[25][26]
    #7 Henry Rollins:
Black Flag's change in musical style and appearance alienated many of their original fans, who focused their displeasure on Rollins by punching him in the mouth, stabbing him with pens, or scratching him with their nails, among other methods. He often fought back, dragging audience members on stage and assaulting them. During a Black Flag concert, Rollins repeatedly punched a fan in the face who had continuously reached for his microphone.[34] Rollins became increasingly alienated from the audience; in his tour diary, Rollins wrote "When they spit at me, when they grab at me, they aren't hurting me. When I push out and mangle the flesh of another, it's falling so short of what I really want to do to them."[35]
    #6 Niklas Kvarforth:
Kvarforth is known in the scene for his extreme and sometimes violent behaviour during live performances, including fighting members of other bands, and handing out razor blades to audience members in 2007.[2][3] Kvarforth has also been accused of assaulting and threatening audience members in 2017.[4]
Kvarforth has also performed auto-mutilations onstage and seems to encourage the practice. He often states in interviews that he hates "everything that grows". It is unclear if his statements made to journalists are in earnest or simply to mock them. Many fans believe he generally holds journalists and reporters in contempt, and purposely mocks them.[5] Kvarforth himself has neither affirmed nor denied this publicly, but consistently expresses his hatred of other people, himself, various countries, and life itself.[6]
    #4 Doyle
The man has literally thrown people who invade his space off the stage.
    #3 Gaahl:
In 2002, Gaahl received a prison sentence for an assault which took place in 2000, and was ordered to pay the victim 158,000 NOK (about 25,300 US$).[4
In May 2004, Gaahl again received a prison sentence, for aggravated assault.[4] He appealed for a reduced sentence, and in February 2005 he was re-sentenced to fourteen months in prison and ordered to pay the victim 190,000 NOK (about 30,400 US$) in compensation.[4] The incident happened in February 2002 during a late-night party at Gaahl's house in Espedal, when he became involved in a confrontation with a man who arrived at his house. Gaahl was accused of severely beating the man, collecting his blood into a cup and threatening to make him drink it.[4] Gaahl said "I was the one who was attacked, but they think I punished him too hard. As I always say, when people cross my line and I let them know where the line is many steps before they cross it, and still they choose to cross it, then I will be the one to decide what their punishment will be".[9] He also claimed to have given the man the cup "so that he would not make such a mess in my house with all the blood".[4]
When asked in the documentary Metal: A Headbanger's Journey (2005) for his thoughts on the church burnings associated with the early Norwegian black metal scene, Gaahl answered:
"Church burnings are, of course, a thing that I support one hundred percent. It should have been done much more, and will be done much more in the future. We have to remove every trace [of] what Christianity, and the semitic roots, have to offer this world."[34]
    #2 Greg Puciato:
During The Dillinger Escape Plan's 2002 performance at the Reading Festival in the United Kingdom, Puciato defecated onstage, put it into a bag, and threw it into the crowd before smearing the rest onto himself, proclaiming "This is a bag of shit, I just wanted to show you this so you'll recognize it later on throughout the day" referring to other bands that would appear that day of the festival, especially Puddle of Mudd.[8][46] The act caused much controversy and had them on the verge of being banned in the UK.[46][47]
    #1 Phil Anselmo:
Phil used to take a boxing trainer on tour with him. You would not want five minutes alone with Phil Anselmo.

Hey! Great suggestion! I did a reaction to Rammstein - Ich Tu Dir Weh (Live). Take a look here: ua-cam.com/video/CeNWPoiAEyM/v-deo.html&lc=Ugyz8J9YBECdkUBUoq14AaABAg

Ironically, if you "met them in a dark alley" they'd just say Hi and keep walking by.

    Number 3 Gorgoroth
Fun fact: Back there, behind the kit on drums is Einar Selvik of Wardruna. Yeah he started out drumming for Gorgoroth. And that vocalist, Gaahl is his name. He was in the original line up of Wardruna but couldn't stay on, touring the world, because of a bad criminal record. Good choice for most intimidating, since his intimidation has behind it some actual danger. (not condoning irl violence, just sayin').

I happened to see a picture of "Orion" from Behemoth without the makeup, and he is not a bad looking guy. Mostly it's the theatrical makeup (and/or masks) they apply which makes them appear intimidating, and for the most part these guys are really nice people.
