I was going to use it for the title, but didn't want anyone who didn't watch to think I was saying their whiskey was crap. I am going to do an episode with that title, but it won't be associated with just one brand.
Took a giant family road trip MN -> IA -> TX -> TN -> KY -> WI this past summer that wasn't planned as a whiskey trip, we were honestly visiting friends and family on each stop. But as a budding whiskey noob, I knew it was a good opportunity to pick up some bottles that weren't available local to me. When visiting Nashville area I stopped in Iroquois Wine & Spirits in Bellevue, they recommend this Leiper's Fork as a good local bottle to bring back home with me. It's taken me a few months to crack all the bottles from my trip, this happened to be the week I crackedmy bottle of LF TN whiskey. I can't give much for tasting notes, but I can say it's unlike anything I've ever had and I'm afraid my bottle won't last long. Something about that toasted barley, level 4 char, low barrel entry proof & Lincoln Co process is unforgettable and incomparable. Now that I've learned LF took pre-prohibition notes from (my) Irish/Scoth roots, perhaps that's what's speaking to me with this dram. Couldn't find anyone on the whiskey tube talking about LF, what a coincidence that Randy dropped this video on the same week I cracked my bottle of Leiper's Fork! Cheers!
Awesome video. My wife and I took a weekend trip to Franklin last year and did a tour of the Leipers Fork Distillery. Amazing place, people and whiskey! Came home with a bottle of their single barrel rye and tn whiskey! We will definitely be swinging by to get more the next time in middle TN.
@@BourbonRealTalk the tour was great. Conner(?) was brilliant. I really went for the bourbon but enjoyed the bottled in bond the best. We picked up a bottle of each for good measure though!
@@Solarhawke That is awesome. For anyone reading this both the bourbon and Tennessee whiskey are both bottled in bond. I don't want anyone to get confused. Cheers!
I'm a Canadian who loves whisky and whiskey, I have access to many different bottles living close to Edmonton Alberta, which is a major center. I realize that Leipers Fork will likely not be available but I do notice on their site that they ship when they have available product. Would you happen to know if they will ship internationally, or do I have to contact a friend of mine in West Virginia and have them order a bottle (or two) and have them send it to me as a "gift" and hope that Canadian Customs is forgiving that day? I have sent an email to the distributor but have not heard back as of this date.
@@BourbonRealTalk Thank-you. A Lady named Abby contacted me and told me they do not ship outside the US, and couldn't say if their distributors have bottles in any liquor stores near me. However, I'm stubborn and determined and will find a way!! I very much like your channel and your mission statement. I lost my parents four months apart when I was 33 and three years ago I lost my Wife. All were due to illness but that pain doesn't care how they left, they are gone and that hole takes a very long time, if ever to fill. I am very sorry for your loss, and hope that you are well. For the moment it takes to say "I Love You" to someone could possibly mean the world to them, that someone cares. So I would like to return your lovely gesture and tell you Thank-you, and I love you too. I wish you the best in all things, take care.
Awesome showing the love to Craft distilleries. Cheers Randy
Well it is easy when their product was born out of so much blood, sweat, and tears...and it is delicious.
Just bought this at the airport in Nashville. Can't wait to try it!
It is BOLD compared to KY bourbon, but I think you will like it!
My wife just bought me a bottle at the Nashville airport as well. Outstanding!!
@@jroc2427 So glad you like it. I love the people out their, and it helps that their whiskey is pretty damn good.
"did you say crap or craft" that got me chuckling!

Appreciate the FOMO on this beautiful NC morning. Have heard this is a good one from several sources. 🤘🥃
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video. Very informative. Might I suggest you leave a link/info on the whiskey profiled here.
Thanks for the tip! Added to the description.

They had an open bottle of the rye that I got to try. Solid stuff!
@@BourbonRealTalk It definitely is, everything was. The didn't have the bourbon yet when we were there but a reason to swing back thru!
Sounds like I need to get my hands on some of their products. Thanks for introducing them. They are just 3 hours away, may take a trip to see them.
You should! Check out Puckett's Grocery too while you are there.
I'm originally from that area, and I have never tried it but now I want to. Very eye opening video, thanks Randy.
You should! It is great!
How can I source a bottle from that distillery? I live in Amsterdam in Netherlands.
