I usually just either straighten my hair before putting the curlers in, wear them in the shower or blow dry my hair with the curlers in and it turns out pretty similar to hers, so I'd say it works :)

if you use a hairdryer, the curls will be a lot softer & less curly! you could also put your hair in while it’s damp but it would take a while to air dry 🤍
