Vehicle Density based traffic control system using Infrared sensor

  • The Traffic control works normally on time based for normal traffic in the lane. Once the Infrared sensor has detected an obstacle within it's observation radius it will send a signal to Arduino to command the traffic to flow for the lane to which it corresponds. if two sensor detect obstacle on a lane, then the lane to triggered for green signal until the obstacle has left the radius on the lane sensor. However, the sensors at other lane are being triggered to control traffic on the other lanes.
