Would love to see an update video. Any more projects happening on the Russian? Seals still a problem? How are the Coho #'s? what about the kings and steelhead? I've heard about the good ole days on the Russian in the 60's and 70's. Would be cool to see it getting a little better.
:( you guys need to do something about the seal problem at the mouth of the Russian River on the beach... I watched a sad video of the seals eating all the steelhead and barely any were getting through to spawning areas up stream
It's interesting but this year 2020 large populations of pelicans and gulls have displaced most of the harbor seals in the Russian river Estuary since summer, but I don't know how long this might last. It's now November, salmon spawning season and I only counted about a dozen seals in the river today.
Need to do something. That’s nature. Don’t want it to happen increase the prey species fish populations. Seals feeding on spawning fish is nature. Same when bears eat it. Since the issue isn’t over abundance of it predators it’s lack of prey and any potential cover
