  • Just south of Seattle, the Boeing Company has created the largest habitat restoration project on the Lower Duwamish River. Boeing worked with NOAA and our partners under a Natural Resource Damage Assessment to restore habitat harmed by historical industrial activities. Learn about the restoration techniques used and how they will benefit the communities, fish, and wildlife of the Duwamish River.

    North Fork Native Plants was proud to help with this effort by supplying over 490 coir mats (aka Wetland Sod) prevegetated with native plants from the area to provide immediate aesthetics, erosion control , and habitat.

    It's a step in the right direction. The salmon caught in this area up to South Center have a slight sewage and dirty flavor to them if you eat them.

    This river is still DEAD thanks to the dam keeping the water to low and over netting
