Did the cyclist tried to suicide. He ran straight into the back of the car. No effort involved trying to avoid it. At 0:45 the light turned green for the other direction(impact is at 0:19). They can use this as a reference if the lady is lying.
You can actually see at the very beginning of the video that there was no green arrow, and a red SUV passes through the intersection the same direction as the cyclist. I'm assuming the cyclist saw they had a green light, knew they'd make the light, and went back into a tuck.
@@iammandalore True she & her passenger lied. Although I still think the cyclist took no effort whatsoever trying to avoid it. What's wrong with him? Did it happen on a Sunday. If it's the case I feel nothing for the cyclist. EDIT: Low traffic=more likely to clash with drivers that has lower driving experience. Adjust safety precaution in consequence.
@@MrDeapGamingMedia How can you tell the cyclist made no attempt to stop? At the speeds he was going, your unlikely to see much difference in speed. Bikes do not break as fast as cars. They don't normally screech like a car either. I know, I've been in a similar accident. I literally left skid marks on the street, wheels locked, the while nine yards. First thing bystanders said was "why didn't you try to stop?". First comments on video "didn't you try and stop?". You'll have to ask the rider if he applied the breaks, or tried to swerve to avoid the car. Looking at the video doesn't really show any indication he didn't try and stop.
The car had 1:1 movement as the cammer. Based on what the cyclist could see, he had a little more than 2 second to react. I would also note that the offender lane is in the middle. The way the driver took the corner makes it even more obvious to avoid(turn early, wider radius). I mean she was racing the corner. She turn way before the stop line. I mean a determined maneuver. The position the cyclist ended on the ground & where he hit on the car. I do not believe he tried.
