I have over 200 1873 - 1973 RCMP quarters, Finding the differences between the large bust and the small bust is difficult. It would be nice to have a confirmed large bust to use as a guide.
Thank you for watching. I now have a large bust 1973 RCMP Quarter and I will be doing a video on how to tell the difference when I find the time to write the script. So stay tuned. Congrats on having 200 RCMP quarters I wishi I did too because I love them that much.

I have 2 circulated large head quarters plus I have 4 sets of 1973 coins in a cello plastic protection from the mint that has the large head quarter in the set.
You can sell it on eBay or any other auction house. Or you could sell it to your local coin shop. But you will get more by auction. Beware though depending upon condition it may be worth no more than face value.
I like the RCMP Dollar best! I've collected Canadian coins since I first got one in change 50 years ago. Can you buy Canadian coins any where in particular?
Thanks for watching. Ususally wherever you buy American coins but if you are looking for something specific enquire with the hundreds of Canadian Coin shops. I frequent le30sou. They also have an eBay superstore
Thanks for watching. As for how much you can get for your coin really depends which variety you have and how high the grade of that coin is. If you are serious about finding out I would recommend visiting your local coin shop.Hope to see you again.
Today in change I found a 1973 quarter, I believe it is a large bust. As this will add to my collection.:) I believe I have a few more that I need to check the variety on:)....Peace Thanks for sharing!
Without seeing the coin it would be hard to tell. There are two varieties a Large Bust AND A Small Bust on the obverse. The grade also makes a big difference. The Small Bust is more common and MS62 or less it is worth face value. MS63 it is $2., MS64 $10 all the way up to $50 in MS65. The large bust is $200 in EF40, AU50 $225, MS60 350 up to $3,500 in MS65. There are also Specimen and Proof varieties in no cameo and Heavy Cameo pr ices there range from $2 to $300. I would recommend if you think your coin is high grade to take it to your local coin shop for evaluation. You can try to determine if it is a large bust or a small but by visiting www.cdncoin.com/kb_results.asp?ID=39

If there 120 then they are large denticles and it must be 1974. The small denticles have 148 and are fewer in production and with a little bit more. In the 1973 the large bust has beads closer to the rim than the small bust quarter.
Thanks for Watching a lot of people do have some or all of the coins in this video. I will be doing an update on this showing how to tell the difference between a large bust and a small bust in a future video. It is not that easy to do. I am hoping your quarter is large bust. All the best.
