Is Hull a 'crap town' or a valid UK Capital of Culture?

All places have dodgy places, a lot of the time it’s what you make of it. If you sit on your arse and whinge about it all the time of course you’ll hate it! Personally, I love Hull. I’ve lived here for 10 years and have never ever regretted it.
I grew up in Hull, I miss it and love it.. I have a trip to Hull planned for later this year... Hull is a wonderful city with a fabulous rich history in many ways! You just have to open your eyes an look! I love seeing all the new things happening around Hull... Your life is what You make it, not the city!

I was born in ull but moved in 69...Remember this all, We have just cause to be proud indeed.. Kingston Upon Hull was realised from a King whom came across Hull and saw its great potential, He could see that Hull would be profitable for goods coming in and out, it had good visual flatlands to protect itself from invasion
With profound belief in Hull, the King purchased Hull for 3 Gold head crowns, hence naming it Kingstown and now known as Kingston as depicted on entry to Hull together with the 3 gold crowns. Hull was the only place to be graced, honoured and purchased by a King!!.. Even if you are not Hull born and bred, as part of history, embrace it, and its other claim to fame amongst other things is that Hull Fare has been running from circa 1200.
Hullanarians are grafters and proud of it, friendly and homely which I greatly miss since moving away due to circumstances but I will make sure my ashes will reside in Hull..

Hull is actually really improving since city of culture. Maybe people should come down now since the new buildings and stuff has come in.
I love Hull. I was at a football match; City Vs a London club. It was when Hull City were in the Premier League. The London fans (might have been arsenal) were chanting "who are ya?! Who are ya?!" To which the Tigers supports sang, "we know who we are! We know who we arrrrrre.... City of Culture! We know who we are!". 😂

hull is like marmite you ever love it or hate it i hate it and iam glad to have left not only that its still a shit hole how it got city of culture is beyond me
