So several years ago I made friends with a guy who had been neighbors with a Chicago area news photographer. As they often did back then, the Chicago police asked the news photographer to take photo of the crime scene. When he died, the photographer left his negatives to my new buddy. He had a photo of the bodies printed and gave it to me.I had it framed and hung in my office for a while. It is on loan to a friend now. From a less older guy north of you in La Porte...
I have that picture, but I scanned it from a public photo from a web page and sent it to Shutterfly.... I do have a few Chicago mob Related original Press Photos, though... They are getting harder to find...
Yes it is... I remember when I was young, Dad took us by the old Garage. It was still standing, then... He told us about what happened... I was pretty young, wished I would have payed better attention to what he was telling us... He was an old timer, A teamster and worked in Chicago..... If I could turn back the hands of time, I would have a million questions!😊😊
Though years during prohibition left quite a story behind.... Much sadness, no doubt... I worked in the city for over 27 years. I remember seeing the old Lexington hotel on Michigan and Dad took us to see this old Garage on N clark before it was demolished....
I am not really sure I understand your Comment.... I am only describing the location of where the building once stood... Even, after 95 years since the Murders occurred, it's hard to believe what a Grim time this was in our country, brought on by Volstead Act, passed in 1919...

My dad lived at a nearby orphanage at the time. He and a bunch of the kids ran to the garage the day after…still lots of police activity
Been there many times its so wierd to walk in the same steps as those who perished
