      I’m not oblivious to the fact that PSA does have some flaws from the manufacturer, but my PSA 10.5 5.56 with a few upgrades is one of my most reliable AR’s I own. There are YT channels that offer updates on the legal aspects of the 2A movement. Others delve into firearm reviews and industry news. This channel obviously does both, but adds one more very important factor to the table:
    Coolness.
    A focus on the asthenic component of firearm ownership helps cultivate a greater appreciation for them over a wider audience. So keep telling us how elegant a particular firearm is to hold, shoot, or just admire. That analysis is your most unique contribution to our community.

      My dad bought the sfar, and I have the saint. The sfar is definitely lighter, and the styling is more aggressive. Which is cool looking but has some sharp points on rail that can scratch your hand. Also, rail makes slight ting noise when taped on with finger. It's probably because it's more thin compared to the saint. All the finishes on the saint feel better quality, sturdy, and sleek. It's not too flashy in design. Both are awesome rifles. Luckily, my dad bought the other option, so I never felt like I made the wrong choice because we got both, haha.

    I actually love the fact that there are no rail lugs on top starting about an inch past the the beginning of the barrel. It's not like I am ever going to mount anything there anyways-- anything out that far is going to be mounted on the side or underneath. I feel like it makes the rifle much more comfortable to handle without always catching my rest hand/glove on those lugs as I am toting it around and/or repositioning it.

I started out with the 5.56 version of this rifle, and I loved it so much that when I discovered that Springfield made a 308 version, I had to have it, and I wasn't disappointed! The only thing that was different between the two rifles is that the 5.56 version came with an ambi 45° safety selector and the 308 did not, which is the only thing I've changed on mine. 308 is a nice mid size round. Fun to shoot but still semi affordable compared to 6.5 creedmoor. I built mine then decided to suppress it and dummy me forgot to put an adjustable gass block on it. Rookie move i know but we is fixing it now.

      Funny enough I haven't had to adjust the gas on any gun I throw my can on, it is a junky boi though. It's like 1.7" diameter and 7 inches long solvent trap kit that I got the stamp for. I works on AR rifles, AR pistols, and even my AK with no adjustments needed. The AR pistol though was adjusted and rocksetted right after I got it, it was over-gassed as hell from PSA and kicked way more than any .223 should.

    • @BrassBashers
      @BrassBashers Рік тому +5

      @@jamomeara1894 well essentially, and I'm kind of dumbing this down here/might be slightly off, but in some guns with a silencer you don't get enough gas coming back into the gun to cycle the action fully. Like on my AK yes it functions with the can, but the bolt moves back slower than it does without the can. If it got enough fowling inside it might not cycle, I wouldn't run the can on the AK if it were going to be adverse conditions.
      On my AR pistol it had too much gas coming back from the factory, increasing recoil and could shorten the life of some parts in the gun. So you throw an adjustable block on there, set it somewhere in the middle where it ejects brass at 2-3 o'clock, set it, and in my case used rocksett on the set screw to keep it from ever backing off.

    Springfield Armory make great rifles in the mid range market. Those who buy them love them and tell people about them. There is one flaw to Springfield armory guns and that is their service department for warranties. It is like a ghost town non-existent. When I bought my Saint Victor B5 and had a couple small issues I tried calling them six times left voicemails and six emails and have never received anything from the factory back so I fixed my gun myself on my dime. So be careful what manufacture you buy their product you get what you pay for and sometimes you don’t get what you pay for.!!!

Is there trying to sell you other parts that you shouldn’t need if your gun was working properly and that is my point. Some of these manufacturers just avoid fixing their flaws and some of them get to a certain size and they just disregard the little people. And when a manufacturer says it is the owners fault not the manufacturers fault they should raise flags and give rise to a lot of questions. He had it drilled out to the next size, and claims he hasn’t had a issue out of it since. He also claims that he found that out through another guy having the same issue but solved it the same way. I really like mine. It's a very dependable, accurate, and just plane fun rifle to own and shoot! If your looking to get one I recommend this one for a good quality SHTF weapon. The front sight on yours is different than mine. I have the proprietary Springfield front and rear iron spring loaded sights and they stay flat. If you really want to see that trigger in action run a Magpul 50 round drum through it. Your right this trigger just looks so wicked in its nickel boron finish. The finish on the entire rifle is Melonite to include the BCG. It does have Bravo Company furniture and a bottom acces grip. The real attention grabber of this weapon is it is chambered in .308. The expansive available ability .308 rounds makes the AR 10 a really nice choice vs the AR 15 or AR 12. The flat rail is very nice to grab on to. I really don't miss the top rail there are just so many M-Loc points on the handguard to meet really any need. I do keep a bipod on mine better to have than to need. I like the Springfield proprietary compensator it really keeps this weapon shooting straight even through mag dumps. The gas block is pinned and adjustable with the provided gas block adjuster tool read up on that. It's always better to be Victor.

    great content great review: I am one of those people that like a split top rail. like 75% or more of us do not need that extra full length spine, because we do not run any type of NV. plus if you have the right split top rail, such as the one I use, it will accept mlok on top. the only thing that I think sucks about split top rails, is they have been slimmed down to a 1.3" I.D. from a 1.5" I.D. in which I personally would prefer a 1.5" I.D. I have larger hands, plus you do not feel the heat from the barrel as fast..

    I have the Saint Victor in 556. It’s been an awesome rifle, zero issues and likes to run. So I ordered another one for the wife.
    The lack of picatinny rail on top does drive me nuts, but I can get past it. Will probably get the 308 version too, but I was leaning towards the SFAR because it does have a full top pic rail and has a 20” version. My preference would be an 18” barrel for 308.
    Funny thing, Springfield actually offers a full pic rail on their SBR models, but not 16” 🤯
    All in all, it’s hard to be mad at the Saint Victor. I’ve actually come to really like the trigger, both the flat face and the tactile feeling like you said. These are incredibly nice rifles out of the box, especially at the price point!
