In this video, we take a look at some Anti-Alatreon Builds for the Bow in MHW Iceborne. Remember that stats are stated while your character is idle with no active items or food buffs. While some jewel buff will be in effect like maximum might, the video should give you a sense of the type of build I'm going for.

Im a dualblades main. Bow is my go to ranged weapon. Gotta say, killing Alatreon solo with the Bow feels GREAT!
Every monster killing with bow feels satisfying. It's midrange class but for max damage you need play close range and you don't have high defense multiplier like GS, LS, GL and etc, but in exchange you have high mobility.
@monkey man Alatreon has crazy raw damage on every single attacks, you get one shot by everything as a bow user
@monkey man the resistances on ranged weapons are definitely fucked, I saw a streamer face tanking several attacks that would take me to 1/4 of my health from full
I hate trying to use an LS anymore so I think I'm going back to bow. LS has been my main im just tired of how slow it moves
@monkey man not really true im a main bow user i rarely get hit by his physical attacks and even if he hits me with a element attack it still one shots me. I usually start with him in fire mode I have plus 16 against fire defense is well over 1000 so its BS you just got to dodge every attack.
I love your video. I am a bow main and find this video and the related gameplay is realy helpfull to slay Alatreon. ATM im trying to build a set with AT Namiele and 3 Pieces of Alatreon

for a while I honestly did not know that crit boost doesnt help increase ur damage on elemental attacks.
Only raw damage :(
When you use critical element your crits count for elemental dmg too
@@Booperinos yes but crit boost only boosts raw crit damage not elemental crit damage even with critical element

What are your bow awakenings? Should I try to get silver ratho on the bow or just flat element up?

Nice video. Can anyone give me tips on which combo to use for bow? Thinking about playing bow a bit more but I have no idea which combo to use and how to play bow
Three regular shots and a power shot to build a charge, then dash into a regular shot then a power shot, then repeat. This is "dash dancing" and it's the main form of high damage on the bow.
P.s. a dash while aiming retains the charge level on the bow, so the purpose of the dash between attacks is to keep a max charge for optimal dps.
Imo bow is too squishy for alatreon and his elemental hit zones are too shitty to consistently kill alatreon under 20 minutes as a casual player playing bow.

Hammer is not so good to kill him in Solo ^^ I'm a Hammer Main player and trid him solo and only killed him 5 times
You need a perfect run to kill him with the Hammer, you need to play aggressiv to deal the DMG on him.
I'm surprised you didn't go with two piece namielle for elemental acceleration. Its a great choice for bows
I think its because of the Affinity you get 40% affi with Safi full armor so you dont need full weakness exploid
@@incompletex and namielle elemental acceleration has alot of downtime while Safi elemental bonus is always up
Where did you get that Critical Element Decoration? Everywhere I looked says its a rumor, but theyre like 2 years old.
there is no CE decoration, its coming from the Kjarr weapons because they all have critical element

dude, that fucking jewel needs a buffed drop rate. i’ve gotten 2 Shield jewels, tons of Sharp jewels and Mind’s Eye jewels, but no fucking Mighty Bow. it’s honestly rigged

why did you use evade5 over max criteye while evade3 is enough time to dodge. and not invest in ss?. why do cons2? cons2 blackbelt+dashjuice is over kill and will not meet 50% with just dash juice+cons2. optimal is either cons1 cons3 or 5
Everything possible to easily dodge with evade 3 sure, but with 5 everything is trivially easy to dodge

Took me 42 mr KT kills to get the 5 elemental kjarr bows
I'm sorry but it's really clear you did not put in enough effort reaching out to experienced bow players for a correct build. These builds are pretty atrocious, the "safe" build is actually less safe even accounting for health loss from safi set on the "risky" set due to elemental defense, lack of evade window, and less stamina skills (more likely to run out of stamina and eat an attack to the face).
And I don't really get how the second is "easier to build" than the first one : I don't have any of those lv4 jewels nor a full ascended safi bow. I can have a kjarr one tho, and the safi set doesn't require rare deco... + I was looking for that 3 constitution 2 stamina build, but only 1 constit ?? like, how is it safer ?
@@yann5546 safer only compared to safi set, not "safer" than the other sets, especially the health drain of the safi set if the player is not skilled yet in dodging
