I know this comment is 4 years later lol, but what I found out about all those crushes in the pipes (8:00) is actually pretty interesting. They weren't put in for clearance at all. They're all there so that if you get rear ended, the pipes will buckle and smash at those points instead of shearing the bolts off your heads.

The crushed piping has been proven to not cause any loss in power. That blows that you have to remove the entire rear bumper to pull that diffuser off. That alone with the cost off the part painted and installed to the average person is worth the $900 IMO
James Friedman if youre getting at engine masters video, their demonstration was nothing compared to the rear the these mufflers, did you even see how crushed the pipe is? at least 1 inch of clearance. especially GMs placement on the x pipe is horrendous!
and i think they put the wrong valence on your car from factory lol because I've never seen a v6 valence on a 2ss besides on the 1le but I'm pretty sure when you bought you car before the 1le was not available

Not to be rude but the huge bra on the front of your car doesn't look good, just get one of those clear coat things for the front of your car for rock chips and such, did it on my Porsche
Awesome hope you like that exhaust system ARH used my car to build the quad tip setup on they had my car for a few weeks to do it. I think they did a real nice job with the fitment and it sounds awesome.
if i could do it all over again id get a base model 1ss and my first mod would be to get supercharger and the car would still be cheaper than a 2ss lol
I bought my 2SS for 36,700 ish + TTL loaded (A8, NPP, MRC) then put a LT4 blower on it. Blew my bottom end with 3K miles on the blower setup (only 590RWHP) and 7K miles on the car. Rings on these cars are a complete crapshoot, and I would tell anyone not starting with an LT4 to consider replacing pistons/rings while doing the blower on an LT1 so at least they are gapped for boost.
No.... Has nothing to do with which blower, it's the fact that the LT1 does not like boost. People with maggies/whippes/turbos/prochargers are blowing their bottom end too.

Tim Spitz it's not for clearance. It's to prevent drone at a certain rpm. Doesn't effect flow rate.
I'm surprised how quiet it is after it's warmed up. Sounds good regardless. I like it!

Med1na I have the Borla S-Type, NPP works the same and the drone is zero whether it's in track or stealth mode.

Yes you are correct I also have a 2017 2 SS with out npp...I still think mine sounds awesome from factory...
I need to find someone thT can tune. So it can pass inspection in Upstate N.Y.

Yes it is a 2SS A8 hardtop. I believe the SS convertibles do not have the diff cooling

It's blowers that made for a stock Lt1 and a Lt4 blower is not one of them smdh
