Where's your glasses woody. Look after those eyes 👀. One has to wonder why they don't check earth groundage . Just slap them together and out the door. I'm sure there's a few out there making a few noises but most of us just put up with it as long as we are digging nugs we don't care, now you have brought it to our attention most will look to see if our machines are good. Cheers Woody. Happy new year 🎊
Thanks Woody, another great tip. A half sheet orbital sander will be enough to take the paint off all around. About 180 grit paper should do. Work outside or in the shed, you don't need all that paint dust. They are about $80 at the local hardware shop.
I was rather amused when I was repairing my Sovereign XS that the apparently factory solution to shielding was a paperclip, soldered to a bit of hookup wire... Which was then clipped over some thick aluminium foil wrapped around the inside of the plastic Jiffy Box enclosure. Bit bodgy, but for a common or garden VLF machine, it seems to work OK.

Yes, good advice.
Awesome Woody!!! Thank you for looking at it so quick. Keep it as long as you need to test. Superb backup and help. You and David are fantastic
Hi Joel , it’s ready to go, I am sure it’s going to find more gold for you.
Epic as usual Woody.
What about putting in stainless screws, to stop corrosion, instead of the black painted ones.
I did that, I found some stainless on Alibaba with T10 heads but a finer thread tap.
