Hey what a coincidence! I am hitting BikeFest too AND my first time going to Bentonville! I am planning on hitting Dragon Scales though it is above my skill level.
So you took a black diamond trail in 2 minutes and 10 seconds :P. I will take much longer. Coming to BikeFest and it will also be my first time to hit Bentonville. I want to hit Dragon Scales even though above my skill level a bit. I will take Rich Drews advice and pre ride it, then....pre ride it and pre ride it lol. Will take it slow due to skill/experience level unless you think it is above my skill. Hope to meet you at BikeFest!
Great to hear you are coming to Bike Fest! Def make sure to pre-ride Dragon Scales, and ride Catapult and Loam wolf before so you get a good idea of how the speed of the Castle feels. Stop by my booth at Bike Fest to say hi!
It's a fun trail. I do however think it's definitely a blue intermediate trail and not a black like it's labeled. Same with Loam Wolf, a lot of fun, but rated incorrectly.
It's fairly complicated on how rating a trail works. And as you probably know you can't compare the riding in Bentonville to other places in the world. I rather have them overrate them than making it a blue and some beginner dropping in it thinking he got it! lol.

I'm debating between the Levos which are on a decent sale... Or the new SL which just seems like a more refined bike.
Yes, I do! I love the SL because it feels a little bit more playful for me when I am riding.
