On that Donovan Edwards run, wasn't that holding on Michigan? Losing Gentry is a real problem for USC. Great break-down.

Great breakdown. Hopefully our D starts faster. I don't want to be down 10 going into the second qtr. Discipline is the key....I do think we can run the ball right down their throats...Our O line has been playing way over expectations. 33-20 PSU.

USC will always have speed, so pound the ball straight ahead, quick passes, and keep the defense fresh for the 4th quarter.
3:45 Drew sometime misfires on the short stuff when he gets crossed up.. Is it inviting disaster for him to throw on the roll with coach Lynn baiting him? Or possibly getting hit and throwing a duck as he drops back. He's definitely been getting coached on getting square and set before he throws.
Drew needs to work on his footwork and increase his accuracy on throws.
Drew has definitely been working hard on his mechanics. I don’t disagree, throwing on the run is harder. But also that play was screwed from the jump with unblocked rusher. I will say though, with Kotelnicki there’s a lot less Offensive plays this year where the play feels pointless. Feels like everything kinda has a purpose, anyone else get that vibe?
@@BehindTheWall58 Kotelnicki confuses the defense with players in motion pre-snap and he also uses Singleton out of the backfield as a receiver... like Moorhead used Saquan. I can't even remember a back making a catch last year. It's every game this year. When I say Saquon....you say....Say Gone! Ready? >>> Saquon!!
And for some reason we don't do that with Kayton or Martin, Even getting for USC. I was hoping Martin would get a few more carries last week.
Drew had a free rusher in his face because of the blitz protection being on the wrong side of the formation, as Landon pointed out. Fleming also didn't run the route deep enough. That said, the defender also made a great play. That play should have gotten a first down.
right. I played footie so I don't understand your knuckle dragging tactics. taking the ball to one side reduces your options by at least a third of the field. at this point you either go down the stripe of throw (1) to the middle (2), or (3) across the field to the opposite side where someone who stayed home has a really good angle. those cross field options seem like really bad choices against what we could do with a cross field kick which are really valued in footie. granted, the last option is dump the ball to the first row. why are you rolling out except to save your skin? the Michigan run? did you notice how the play relied on an offensive player maybe hooking the defensive player's shoulder pads and not getting flagged?
for those of us that have not banged our heads against other humans, can you develop a series of videos that walk us through the basics to the next level to the level you are talking about? I get you see things I do not. what do I need to understand that the center has to attack. the guards, the tackles. what do the folks on the defense need to do? can you create a kindergarten video series that makes sense? get me to your level of understanding.
Absolutely!! Off season we will do “learning how to watch film” and I’ll walk everyone through that and then we will do recruit film breakdowns with T Frank! Should be fun stuff even after the season
