Texans did what they were supposed to against a bottom 5 roster with a qb playing his first meaningful life snaps in the nfl
After being smacked and sacked a few times he stayed pretty cool and played pretty good behind a line that really didn't give him great protection. We are a bit spoiled with our offensive big men keeping Stroud standing up most of the time. Well, if you forget that concussion earlier in the year. Yes, overall Mayes should be ok in the next few years.

Maye looked good for the Pats in his first game too though and has a great arm. He'll be NE's QB for years to come. GG Pats

Just no consistency. At least in the Bellichuck/Brady era, I could name the D & O line... now, I have no idea who's playing week to week. Is sad because nothing is working.
@@dariusewing6962His only real mistake today was his overthrown ball that got intercepted. The tipped INT wasn’t his fault, and on the strip sack his lineman got completely toasted and he didn’t have a chance. Constant penalties on offense ruined multiple drives and they couldn’t run their way out of a paper bag. Despite all of that, he had a decent game.
Honestly even if Maye lost, there is potential for him.
He played a pretty good first game, with no o-line and not much weapons. I think he will only improve and can hopefully be the Patriots franchise QB.
Only if this sub par front office gets line help. All you hear about is them trying to land a #1 WR, what good is it when the kid can't throw a screen because opposing D is in the backl field the second the ball is snapped.

Correct me if I’m wrong but did he just do better than Josh Allen and Caleb against Houston’s elite defense in his first game? I think he did. We were fortunate to get him. Also Houston and Detroit, I’m the only other two teams in the league that I would want to see when a Super Bowl outside of my Patriots but I know we’re not doing that. Houston fans and Detroit fans you guys deserve one. So good luck. Good game next week against Green Bay for you guys. That would be a big challenge.

The Patriots fans should be very excited about Drake Maye as their quarterback. He’s playing behind a bad offensive line, but when took the hit, he got back up and stood tall. Once he gets all the pieces to his offense in the upcoming future, things are going to turn around. Just stay patient

We all thought this about Mac Jones, too. But the pieces never came, and Mac got worn down and we basically ruined his development cuz he was forever playing scared. Hopefully with Bill gone, our drafts will get better, but it's still a long road and Maye needs a very strong head(and body) to keep things positive with this team until any chance of improvement is possible. Terrible offensive lines like this can absolutely ruin QB's.

Maye looked great against an elite defense with an Oline who had two guys starting that were signed this week. Future is bright for New England if they can fix that pass protection.
Plenty of great offense today. Mixon a few good receptions and ran the ball very well. Double D, Dell and Diggy. Schultz seemed a little out of it though. Pierce had a good day (54 yard t.d.). Defense also played well. Less penalties helped a lot. Good game. Hats off to both teams near the end of the game. Game out of reach, both teams playing conservatively and not chancing injuries.

Well they scored 20 points for only the second time (the Patriots) but the defense was exposed quite a bit. Maye turning the ball over 3 times is not a good game at all. Basically negated everything good he did. Welcome to the bottom of the league, Patriots.

Drake Maye makes his NFL debut as he replaces Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. How did he do in his first rookie game? Let’s see…he threw for 243 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. At least, he showed off his versatility as a dual threat quarterback.

This game is all about Drake. We all know that. Here in New England we didn’t expect to win, but we just wanted to see why Drake was number three overall and he proved it. He did better than Josh Allen and Caleb against Houston and it was his first game. Watch out for Drake man.

All around texans definitely didn't play it easy on the pats as nobody should. No matter how bad a team is performing they can easily turn it around just for one or 2 games n do upsets. Overall tho texans get a A- for this win👌 n as usual stroud is unbelievable with his pinpoint accuracy
