working through a turbo silverado. few issues to take care of and it should make 800. pretty crazy in a truck like that!

I love the way he's diagnosing and chasing each problem with solid resolutions and results. I would bring him lunch, fix his fan or replace it with a new one (harbor freight because those are expensive), and happily pay the man for the work done.
Drink more water Joe, and fix the fan. Great results once again. Keep striving.
Great work troubleshooting all those issues and getting some great results!
Can't believe I've never seen this channel til now, subscribed 🔥
looks like the battery was going dead from the headlights staying on. I'm sure it wasn't fully charged or holding a charge but press the dome light override button 4x and the automatic lights turn off. I know this is an old video but that's the trick with these trucks for turning off the lights.
Get a air conditioner in your shop dude they're cheap as hell Mr Cool 18,000 BTU for $900 it's 70 in my shop all year round it's a heater and air conditioner all in one. keep up the good videos I learned a lot so far with tuning
LIKE, LIKE, LIKE!
Big fan of yours here in Europe!
dude when you are sweating bullets in a hot ass car in summer is the worst. i take coolers of water now
jump box is dead, kinda wish i was dead too LMAOOOO
Man you are awesome. Definitely gained another subscriber! The dry humor cracks me the fuck up haha
Less timing when it starts to spool will light turbos faster, then ramp to 14 degrees after 5-8 lbs of boost
Joe is that on stock cam? 5.3 ? 6.0?
Interesting power on low boost💪🔥
Honk the horn 3 times for boost control 😂 sounds familiar. Great vid !
Man I wanna get out off the oil rigs and get back into mechanics full time. Always wanted to be a dyno tech. So much to learn about these new motors.
Oil rigs sounds like it would pay significantly better haha
Everyone wants to make power but few bring vehicles ready to make power. I spend more time diagnosing and working the bugs out of cars for them than it takes me to dial them in. Always going conservative if things are bad like fuel pressure even turning it down to prevent the pressure drop and leave it at that power to keep it reliable. If they want more power have a good pump set up to recommend to them that you trust
I love boost but I'm so thankful my 4g63 is set up the way it thank probably go procharger or wipple for my 6.0 build
in the video time 11:12 you touched a line behind the throttled body i think its the gas line chorcal filter line comes from the gas tank im doing a turbo build same style what did you do for the wire that was plugged in their i saw a video and thats where a leak was
Talkin about above and beyond!! You da man!!
15 psi? On e85 hit it with 14 degrees of timing pretty safely
Nice work and power .
That fan has got to be driving you crazy. I hear it in every video 🤣
I need to light it on fire!!
@@JoeSimpsonAtTempest when you do, make sure to film it. Great content !
Whys there so much smoke dumping out the back after the dyno pulls?
were they able to keep the heat and a/c with this kit?
Hey joe, was this the 7875 on3 by chance?
Thanks for all the info Joe. Maybe the hot is just dragging you down. Hope it gets better for you.
Yea i was in a bit of a bad mood the first day before i even got started. Second day was much better. Didn’t think it would be that obvious 🤣
So did you ever resolve the issues with the truck? If so what did you have to do? Thanks and great video!
Idk you prolly know this by now but if you push the little round button near the headlight switch like 3 or 4 times in a row it turns off the headlights
A ton of work, what is the typical bill for the time?
Thanks for sharing. Whats the price on one of this dynos?
Great video! Just found the channel !
It’s like they bring a pile of junk and then ask you to make it all work. Is that a knockoff tial wastegate? Why would it need so much dome pressure to stay closed? Oh, because it had a 2 Lb spring.
What motor? Size turbo? Cam? Fuel system?
Great job working out the issues on this truck. How difficult is it to set a car or truck up on your hub dyno?
Mainline pro hub. I find it very easy to set cars up. The little bit of extra effort is totally worth all of the added benefits vs a roller dyno IMO
Joe Simpson I agree, though I don’t have the luxury of tuning on one. I tune on a DynoJet 224 and soon to be tuning on a DynoJet 248, neither of which are load controlled. Awesome setup, man!
The Black Sheep i had a 248 years ago and have used plenty of 224s. Both work well but after owning my mainline i couldn’t go back!
Joe Simpson I believe it! I’m hopeful to get my own Mainline dyno someday. Keep up the awesome work. Nice to see a truly great tuner! 🤘🏽
@6:06 I laughed a little to hard lol
Was that a stock motor and what size turbo!
What dyno are you using? Looking at different set ups
Mainline pro hub. Best dyno available imo
only 8 degrees on e85? thats really low
thank you good video helped me out
Holy shit now I know why some techs hate weekend warriors😂
Any one know what size the turbo is?
I couldn’t help but notice the mosquito repelling amounts of smoke billowing out of the tail pipe on deceleration lol….
I want this guy to work on my ny truck
Your way to hard on yourself, probably the heat and tired !
Dude that sucks man
