That's why I love this Katara more. Especially Aang still feeling the sympathy, even sort of love for her. Idk why, but I'm a sucker for such dynamic (the woman who is an irredeemable monster but is still loved by some goody pacifist boy who falls in love/can't help but want to be friend, forming some genderswap Christian×Anna duo/ship). I would like it to become a trope for some reason.

I think that amon was good as a kid because he was trained by his father but as he got older he kind of forgot how to bend properly, because he focused on taking away bending for so long.

My jaw dropped when I saw that the fanfic lasted 15 years. It takes me months to finish a fic before I get bored, I can’t imagine continuing for 15 years; it’s also exactly 15 years because it started and ended on December 17.
The fanfic didn't exactly last 15 years. The creator just dropped it mid-way because he got bored and then came back to it 10 years later when ATLA and LOK dropped on Netflix and decided to finish it once and for all.
I just stopped reading it cause I was bored. 💀

What struck me most are Katara's dead eyes throughout the series. Unless she's doing something devious and finds satisfaction from said deviousness, she's normally cold, empty, dark. It's so eerie and disturbing considering we know how motherly and caring the real Katara is.
I don't know, Katara can be a bit self centred. Especially in the live action remake. Aang mourns the death of his entire world and she makes it about her losing her mum and her dad leaving. I'm just hoping they leave the cringy romance stuff off screen lol

What i like about this fanfic,although morals and dynamics have been twisted, the personalities(before development) that we love stay the same. Katara is calm and calculating which led to her being manipulative. Azula is still cunning and perceptive. She knows something is off with Aang‘s behavior.

I don't really see the point of that though, absolutely anything with water in it would work, not to say that if you already have killed someone you shouldn't use their corpse, as that would just be wasteful, but I feel like having an exclusively zombie army is rather expensive when you could just have cheaper things like grass to use as your army, or vines like that one guy.
It is actually really cool to see the similarities between Zuko and Azula, and Sokka and Katara. I'm guessing that in this universe that Sokka is a water bender? I like it. 😅

i actually read one where aang was found by zuko and azula but he has no memories of the alternate world (that does not exist). the water nation is the evil one and the fire nation are the good guys. unfortunate that its very rarely updated (like 8 chapters published and i started reading it 3 years ago). from the characterizations it seems sokka would be the one more likely to join them. i can’t remember if he was a waterbender or not but i feel like katara would have made more sense as the zuko replacement? from what i remember katara was very much like azula tho

...then Zuko and Azula will instantly kill Aang. That's their mission. And the story ends with the Fire Nation dominating the world ruled by Phoenix King Ozai... Simple conclusion...
The problem with that is in the comic, the fire nation isn't the one thT started the 100 year war. Azula and Zuko have absolutely no reason to kill the avatar, just like Sokka and Katara had no reason to kill Katara in the OG series.
