We all remember that scene that made us think that the Kazuka ship was setting sail. In the final episode of the Book of Earth, Zuko is thrown in prison with Katara. After some talking, Katara begins to believe Zuko to be as much a victim as anyone else, and she is just about to heal the scar on his eye with the Spirit Water, but before she does, Team Avatar arrives. It’s at around this time that Azula appears and offers Zuko the one thing he has always desired: His honor. In the end, his weakness and inability to let go of his own desires forces him to accept her offer, and the two of them face off against Aang and Katara. Aang enters his Avatar State to fight against them, but is wounded in the back by Azula’s lightning and falls to the ground, dying. Uncle Iroh steps between his niece and nephew to protect Katara and Aang as they get away. And while escaping on Appa’s back, she uses this Spirit Water to heal and revive Aang. Unable to reach the Avatar State, but alive, the story continues as you know. But a question that has crossed all of our minds as we watched this episode was a simple one. “What if Aang really HAD died? What would have happened then?” Well, I hope to answer this question today with logic as well as a healthy amount of headcanon. So make sure to grab your cactus juice as we quench your thirst for answers with the quenchiest of what-Ifs. I’m Jeremy and this is What if Azula Killed Aang?

Channel Frederator is cartoon central on the Internet.
Remember: Frederator loves you.
A huge missed point is Katara's mind set. She would entirely blame herself for Aang's death. She would see her kindess as a weakness from then on out and probably become one of the deadliest water and bloodbenders there is.
If they don’t meet Hama, would katara be a bloodbender?
Remember Katara is very smart she might figure out blood bending on her own.
Step 1: watch your parents and boyfriend die because of the fire nation :(
Step 2: take a taxi to an unknown place of "lost and no hope, only death" from which "one may never return"
Step 3: scream your lungs out but no one can hear you, no one can help you.

Fire nation must suffer its sins. The antichrist bekons us to slaughter the ones under the flag of fire and every firebender that is not yet nothing☠
-No longer a kids show incident
@@bobbyzitzmann3048 There's blood benders in legend of Korra too, I think it's a possibility
Yeah she would have certainly used blood bending A LOT
I think after aangs death, during the day of black sun sokka would have definitely killed azula without hesitation
Yes!
Without aang the day of the black sun wouldn't happen since he was the one bringing them hope and motivation that there was a chance to win.
@@divoulos5758he may have been the symbol of hope but that doesnt mean gAang would just scrap the invasion plan. it was the one chance to get rid of the fire nation for good while they were powerless
Ozai would 100% die azula could get crippled
ROFL 🤣. Sokka was no match for Azula and neither was Toph. Their only hope lies in Zuko killing Ozai. He would have been named Fire Lord for that.
I think Zuko and Iroh would go into the spirit world in search of a way to bring the Avatar's spirit back. Maybe they would learn of Wan and maybe Zuko would try to actually become an avatar by finding a tiny, rebirthing Raava. And the cycle, once again, starts with a firebender fixing his mistakes.
i like this ending. maybe after the Agni Kai?
Azula would’ve blasted herself to the side of the mountain and used her hair pin to survive, as it happened in the series. Then Iroh probably still convinces Zuko that its his destiny to honour Aang by defeating the Ozai, so it’d be Iroh’s job to take down Azula in the agni kai. Iroh wouldnt need Katara’s help, so she’d help the others on the airship
And I bet both Ozai and Azula would be felled by their own lightning.
Azula was able to do that because she simply slid off, but in this scenario, Katara came back to save Zuko by smacking Azula down. The likelihood that she would've regained composure from that quickly enough before she falls to her demise is quite honestly, very slim.
Zuko didn't even need help because she was unstable, that's why she had tried the cheapshot on Katara
Would make absolutely no sense to have Iroh fight azula while zuko is fighting ozai that’s backwards af
@@Valientlinkand in the end ZuZu needed help . Sorry NO rules in war .
Ozai would NEVER be dumb enough to use lightning against Zuko after Zuko redirected it already
Honestly the story would’ve ended as soon as they tried to invade on the day of black sun because the fire nation would’ve killed them all or taken them prisoners
@Tony Gallegos this theory is about if Aang died. The rest of it would reasonably be pretty dark compared to what this video put forth.
Azula is not going to have kids, no one is going to dare marry her, which means there will be no successors to the fire nation. Which means fire nation loyalty legacy ends when she dies.
@@1mol831 do you think zuko’s mom wanted to marry Ozai?
She did.. he was clinically dead for a couple of minutes before being resuscitated
I think he means that if Aang could not have been resuscitated.
"The Kazuko, that is Katara x Zuko ship"
The shippers: *IT'S ZUTARA*
Looks like someone's heading to Lake Laogai...
*Oh no no no no only not the lake Starr Pa- I mean Laogai!!!!*
ZUTARA ja naii ZURA DA!
Was looking for this comment
There is no zutara in ATLA there is no zutara in ATLA
Katako.
Zuko killing his own family would have been too brutal for a nickelodeon show nevertheless it would have been an interesting outcome
That would've been awesome as a more adult version of Avatar tbh
I don’t think zuko would have joined katara after she healed his scar. He had changed at that point so he would be grateful.
And also azula wouldn’t tell ozai that zuko killed aang she would claim all the glory because zuko wouldn’t be so hesitant
I don't think Azula would have gotten the hit off if Zuko joined the team there and then. This it would have been a stalemate till the boiling rock where Zuko would have been rescued, something like a note from Azula on combustion man would have told them where to go.
I don't think Ozai would try to shoot Zuko with lightning, again. Knowing that his son is capable of redirecting it, just like what happened in their last encounter.
@@lenorelestrange Yeah, she would have lost...badly. She was already losing against Katara 1v1. If it hadn't been for Zuko she would have lost that battle 100%
Like, what would she even have done against 2 of the most powerful benders and potentially even Zuko if he had joined with Katara...
Yeah no. For this to happen Zuko still needs to be on Asula's site and corner Aang into unlocking his avatar state.
There are still some inconsistencies.
In the show, when Ozai realized that Aang could redirekt lightning, he stopped using it. Ozai already knew that Zuko knew the technique from the day of the eclipse. Thats why Ozai would never ever shoot a lightningblot at Zuko.
Also It doesn't make sense, how Azula dies. In every regard. There is no way team Sokka would be able to find the western air temple. And without Aang, they wouldn't be able to close the blast doors. And why the heck would Azula die?
your other points taken;\for azula tho... gravity?
Indeed. And if Zuko knew that Aang was dead, he could have just killed his father at the day of the eclipse.
Irony is that the death of the avatar at this point in the story could backfire for ozai even worse...
Think of this:
Katara refused to use bloodbending due to it being unorthodox. After all these loses she could embrace that art and teach it to further waterbenders. She may not end the war but clearly will turn the tides.
The day of sozin s comet would start with fire raining down from the sky and it will end with rivers of spilled blood and ozai's fire nation overconfidence crushed out cold. The tides will turn and for the first time ever it will be the time for the fire nation to survive
This version doesn’t sound too bad it’s actually pretty good. In fact the parallel between zuko and ozai’s first agni Kai and the end of series battle is great and thematically interesting. Instead of having episodes of team avatar in book 3 we could have more episodes of zukos dynamic within the royal family and his relationship with his father more fleshed out. This would make the final battle seem more personal as well.
The only thing that bugs me is azulas treatment here. Her battle with zuko was bound to happen and it should have happened here as well maybe not on the comet day. Her closure to the story isn’t satisfying in this alternative and the build up would have been for nothing.
I like the story but there was a huge opportunity missed. What would been Bumi reaction to Zuko? Aang was his best friend. There should have been emotional reaction to seeing and meeting Zuko after Aang's death. Also I don't want to be that guy but there's a flaw in this, the King already knows he can redirect lightning because of what happened in the throne room so he wouldn't have done it again.
The only problem with the theory is I truly don’t think Zuko would have sided with azula had katara actually healed his scar
Its an almost immediate reincarnation I thought. So the next Avatar couldn't be Korra based on the 30 years roughly difference. Still water but not Korra.
Could be Unilak
@@notakebaks would be very interesting. Instead of bonding with raava, he bonds with vaatu
@@notakebaks No he would have to be 70 years old in LoK and he’s not that old
@@megatamerernie513 nah
~43 year difference from what I see
That's SO much earlier
even if Aang did died whilst not in the avatar state Korra wouldn't've become the next avatar it would most likely be a random Water Tribe member since the next avater is often born not long after the death of the current avatar
Sounds actually better.
I dunno who the new avatar would be but imagining a newborn having to be protected during all of this would be impressive and a baby avatar sounds so cute.
Since raava is the one who makes a person an avatar and she is born again no matter what in every 10,000 years maybe when she is reborn again she will continue the cycle in the future once again
Not even 30 secs and he messes up the Zutara ship. How can I trust these words now?
"We also get the beach day episode and none of that changes, really"
removing the beach day story is a crime even worse than yeeting the Avatar or destroying Republic City with a spirit cannon mecha-suit
I enjoyed this theory. Well done
Yes, please keep going with your theories.🙂
Good idea, terrible execution
Zuko beat the Fire Lord. Iroh would never let Zuko go on this suicide mission. Iroh and his friends would have attacked the Fire Lord.
Actually there is a way to bring back the avatar. Katara.
In the show they reveal that both the air nomads and the water tribe are very spiritually aline so it is quite possible that katara discovers blood bending on her own and even spirit bending which might allow her to cross into the spirit world and find vantu and become an dark avatar.
Appa is connected with Aaang spiritually and dies when he dies so this theory would be chalked
Post credit zuko is looking through his father's stuff in his bedroom and finds letters from his mother that he has kept hidden away from zuko and azula zuko with a tear coming down from his eye "my mother is alive!?" and then cuts the black and hear a voice saying "yes she is zuko." and it's Aang as a spirit.
Lets make this clear, azula wouldnt die so easy. She would fly of, she can fly.
yea youre right and ozai isnt supid he wouldnt use lightning since he saw zuko already reflecting the lightining
In day of comet ozai will try anything to win including lightning.
Great what if! I’ve always been found of the main character dying and the story carrying in on through the tragic loss.
like danganronpa? maybe snowpiecer?
I always wondered this! Thank you ChannelFrederator
Did this man really say Kazuko
Not quite. Aang was a key part in many of the things that happend after the failed invasion.
I believe that through desperation they would try and head back to the north pole in an atrempt to bring Aang back. Though it might be impossible it could be their only choice.
If that were to fail they would truly lose hope and grieve. Which would then turn into pure anger and malice for not only the firenation starting a war, killing countless, terrorize the whole world, drive a race to extinction but alsotaking away their last hope and killing their friend.
I think all chains would break. Katara would practice her blood bending and hone it until she could use it outside of a fullmoon. Sokka would likely take no prisoners and Toph would utilize metal bending in the most gruesome way. Maybe even invent Smog bending in memory of Aang.
Either way they'd all hit harder and bloodier. Maybe they wouldnt win the war but numbers would drop like flies.
Ozai already hit zuko with lightning on the day of black sun he should know it wouldn't work
Great vid though love it
But the sozin's comet enhances the lightning he may believe can overwhelm zuko with it before the redirection.
People gotta take note that ozai was extremely arrogant in the day of the comet.
The avatar cycle would've ended. The avatar can't die in the avatar state
This was actually kinda compelling
Good idea, terrible execution
Zuko can't beat the Fire Lord. Iroh would never let Zuko go on this suicide mission. Iroh and his friends would have attacked the Fire Lord.
No they wouldnt iroh knows anyone sent to face ozai thats not comet enhanced with a plan is going to get killed he also knows he cant keep up with ozai's propel speed.
Tell me why at the end when you started talking about Iroh coming out to the balcony and talking with Zuko (similar to how ATLA ended with aang and katara) the only thing on my mind was "and then they kissed. The end" 😭 😭
And zuko would have never found his mother in a spinoff book
I have a question? If they kept Ang's body, they could go to the North Pole and ask for more magical water?
What I want to know is how did they even know getting killed in the Avatar State would end the reincarnation cycle? I mean, it's not like it could have happened before (or else, there would no longer be an Avatar), so were they just making a guess on that?
It probably has to do with the spiritual connection to past lives and the cycle of reincarnation it likely works like a rope tying the current avatar to past lives if that connection is broken the cycle too ends.
@@sebas8225 My question is less about why it works that way and more a question of how they know it works that way. It's not really something they can test.
1:15 People that haven’t watched avatar would think he is crazy 😂
Ok but I’m just saying revenge dragons would be awesome af. Zuko asks for the help of the dragons to take down the fire lord and azula. Zuko and iroh ride the dragons to the capitol. Iroh and one of the dragons take down oazi and Zuko takes down azula. Or something to that effect
Any follow-up to this would have to be PURE fanfiction, because we wouldn't get Korra ~43 years early 😂
You mean, what if Azula "Went for the head?"
I do not believe that the kingdoms would come together without the Avatar. Truthfully speaking I don’t think the average non fire nation citizen would have even the slightest reason to trust Zuko. He is merely a Fire Nation Prince/Lord.
I could maybe see the Order of the White Lotus becoming a Council of the White Lotus. Like a NATO of the Avatar world.
The Avatar worked as a political piece because even when they were born of a specific nation the populace had faith that the Avatar always put the interests of the realm above any particular nation.
You can’t be the leader of a nation and simultaneously convince people you aren’t making choices that might harm that nation for the good of the world.
107 facts about Swat Kats and Harley Quinn
No aang=no more airbenders.
No avatar= no open portals.
No open portals= no harmonic convergence that would bring airbenders back.
Trust me the earth would still be balanced out and the avatar would eventually return as bending and lion turtles still exist. Would raavva and vaatuu return, possibly? Not sure how but I don’t see how they couldn’t eventually return in some way and find a new avatar to start the entire cycle over with. This will probably take a 100+ years tho before the avatar could return
@@tspopstar512 Lion turtles were hunted down. The one in in ATLA was most likely the last one. Vaatuu and Rava can't live without each other. After Avatar's death in the Avatar state Rava would be reborn within Vaatuu.
But If Katara had time to heal Zuko's scar I think he would have chosen their side. At least I hope so
Kataang vs zutara is the prime of this video
Actually ,If Aang died , it will be the end of the world because in the avatar state Raava is controlling the Avatars body so that means Raava is damagable and could be killed and since when one of the spirits is destroyed the other spirit can't live as well (Vaatu) This will lead to the end of the world
That is a good story, and I am surprised you were able to come up with this. Good theory
They arrived late, fight happened later. Different outcome.
Can you please do 107 facts on Wreck It Ralph?
Naw, it ain’t Kazuka, its Zutara
the part about Zuko cryiing over Azula ...is the biggest leap for me
I mean it’s still his younger sister.
This was a great video. It is a Nice take on a what IF.... Keep up the good work
Honestly, this version you guys came up with is better than the original
No it isn't. It was a lackluster end to Azula who is a complex villain, and had a complex story. Not to mention Azula's mental breakdown never happened. But in the canonical Last Airbender Zuko's remaining time in the animated series was somewhat underwhelming.
Not to mention she killed Aang and her untimely death is a looney tunes fall off of a cliff??? She needed a bigger death than that lol.
Ok, it's really cool how this went from Avatar The Last Airbender to Avatar Wars Episode 6: Return of The Fire Prince.
Even if Anna died the good would still never give up
WHO?!
Awesome video! You should do a what if Azula didnt banish all her guards. I always thought it was strange that zuko and katara just walk straight up to the Royal palace and take the current fire Lord captive with no resistance. Did azual really banish every single guard in and around the palace? Good thing she did or that fight would have gone very different.
This was vary interesting. I hope we get a part 2
I personally newer liked idea of avatar or chosen on in general idea that every one can be a hero and make a change is lot better to me it would be cool if Aang was just a last air bender
I agree
In theory… if Katara would’ve healed Zuko’s scar, he might’ve been team Avatar at that time.
Bro don’t worry, Aang has plot bending.
The whole point of azula telling ozai that Zuko killed the avatar was because she suspected that he was still alive so in this version, he might have been still banished for not killing the avatar
The avatar line almost hit the floor dead
I would love a part 2, though I have no idea where you'd go with it, and that's actually something I like.
The editing is on point. I really enjoyed the theory as well.
appa would not be in the story as there bond was unbreakable and He dies the same time Aang dies
@ChannelFrederator,
Including a Water Tribe Korra, Pleasee make a part 2 ! 🙏
The timeline of Legend of Korra would be quite different, especially if you consider the comics Republic City and all the villains wouldn’t be created.
This would probably be how the story will go if zuko was the main character, zuko fighting his father mirrors how he got banished, quite poetic I must say
Let me just nullify your entire video... When Aang dies, Appa also dies as animal companions die with the avatar... therefore your "Team Sokka" has no Appa.
This was better than the original imo. It just made so much sense. The only thing I would add is katara being with zuko at the end.
Agree
this would of ended with zuko dying at the dragon episode as no one realizes its a dance so he would die
If you do go on to the LOK saga, I hope you take into account the Avatar sequel comics and how they're affected by Aang's death. A lot of LOK's settings and themes arise from events depicted in the comics.
Wouldn't happened if Aang died in the Avatar state. Rava would died no more Avatar.
@@catherineterry1111 Exactly my point, thus the ripple effect causing the events of the comics to change and the world of LOK being entirely different.
so zuko pulls an itachi in the end
Middle school memories what a classic
I would not have reincarnated into Kora because her parents didn’t exist yet. So more than likely he just would’ve reincarnated into another water bender.
Zuko has no chance against ozai, lightning or no lightning
Not quite in that cliff area zuko could in theory keep using the propelling to buy time until the comet finishes passing assuming ozai plays the game of cat and mouse.
Since zuko is more experienced in firebending than aang he'd be able tobhold back ozai for longer.
so everything progresses without aang got it
107 facts on Garfield
But she did though lol. That's why he couldn't go back into the avatar state until that wound got hit with a rock which was never really explained well
what if sokka cleaned his socks?
The biggest problem I see with this narrative is Zuko killing Ozai. Ozai is not the Firelord because he's strong, but because he is from royal lineage. Also, the Fire Nation is full of people who agree with Ozai's vision of conquest. It seems unlikely that the Fire Nation would peacefully crown the prince who betrayed his nation and killed his own father
Would love a sequel
I say Eventuly the Avatar would be reborn as Rava would be. She would escape Vatuu and find a new Host to apart the cycel anew. For convinience sake the old avatars would also be back
One mistake you made: Aang would still reincarnate, but won't be the avatar anymore (in Korra terms: he lost his connection to Raava).
The avatar reincarnates with the help of raava so aang would have died like any other human.
No, Aang dying in the Avatar State means he Raava will not be reincarnated either and there will never be another Avatar. Aang would not only be the last Airbender but also the last Avatar.
There will also be no airbenders forever
Zuko would have joined team avatar in book two if Zuko’s scar was healed
Very well done I enjoy this as well
If Avatar would have been written by George R. R. Martin
Then the Fire Nation would only be ONE nation in the world.
There is just no universe where they beat ozai and azula in that case. They would need iroh and at least one other, probably Zuko to take on Ozai and nobody else on the team has a shot at beating Azula solo. Even if iroh and zuko beat ozai, one of them will probably die in the process and the survivor is likely injured too.
i love that contra universe so much it is better than the original
I'd love to see a sequel to this video
Anyone else excited for Analyzing Avatar’s final video?
Excellent video
That is not how reincarnation works. Aang would be reincarnated as another person in the water tribes b/c Korra's parents weren't even born then
Do you watch the show? You need the avatar state to be reincarnated to a another person if you die by your original past life. So aang is dead.
@@Utah842 Yes, I watched the series. But the Avatar way is not how reincarnation works.
Neither the natural reincarnation way or the Avatar reincarnation way would ever allow Korra to exist if Aang died early since her parents would not have been born yet.
There's this Theory that Avatars are much more stronger than the Average Human being, an evidence of this is Aang lifting a boulder at age 12 no earth bending pure muscle strength and also Korra lift people with just 1 arm. In Kyoshi's story She was struck with lightning more than 3times yet tanked all of it she was still Alive yet badly injured. My idea/theory with this is that Aang struck by lightning only 1 time should be still alive yet he is now handicapped, Unable to access avatar state and all his bending now weakened, slower body. idk what else with this:(
What if Vatu had taken over Korra?
I'm confused why didn't azula do that rocket jumped to the cliff?
I just met the cast today in Simi Valley!
