Thank you so much for this very informative video. My question is, does this ball "Heckler" suitable/good for one-handed with thumb player? Is it possible to utilize the converter for one-handed with thumb player? 👍🏻 💐
@@aalkhoori1 this ball will be good for thumb-in players. The number don't change a significant amount from standard core designs, so you will be just fine with normal dual angle layouts ✅
@@aalkhoori1 funny enough, we are recommending 3.0" - right in between. you can go as deep as 3.25"+ but most players run into pitch intersection issues at the bottom of the holes. after about 3.25" deep the diff and int diff level off and are not affected, but the RG keeps going up (slightly) the deeper you go.
it's not really about the speed. it's about the speed/rev rate matchup. a medium speed and low rev player is speed dominate. a player with the same medium speed and a high rev rate is rev dominant.
@@BowlingBuckosh thank you for responding: I am a no thumb right hand one hander who throws 12-13 mph and has a lot of rotation and a high track with a PAP of 6 over and 1/2 down. I bought and drilled a 13 lbs troublemaker pearl and had it drilled 99 x 5 x 42 works as intended as a move far left throw right, late hook, lots of hit. but obviously struggles with carry down. I just bought "The Hitter" 14 lbs and I am looking to use this ball as a far left ball to contend with the huge amount of carry down in my league. Was thinking 65 x 5 3/4 x 35. Good layout for what I am intending or would you suggest another? Again thanks for any help!
for carrydown i would use a slightly more aggressive pin-PAP such as 5", unless you are very rev dominant. I would check what 35 deg. is in terms of pin-CoG. - probably about 4"? you can go to 4.5" (27 deg) if you want a more aggressive motion.
Check out my 3 part video series on the original Trouble Maker. One of them, I believe the 3rd, goes into more detail. But ultimately, once you use the converter, you are just going to apply the resulting Dual Angles to the ball like you always do!
I need a pro shop local to me that will even attempt to understand anything about these no thumb layouts. The 2 centers here roll their eyes when someone walks in not using a thumbhole. I'd like to get my PaP and current layout and just order balls already drilled in this manner to save the frustration. 😑
@BowlingBuckosh Eastern Ohio. Toronto Lanes is my "home"... but we don't really have a pro shop so I travel to nearby centers for drilling. Small town America problems. 🤷♂️
@@badbub19 I am not as familiar with the area but our product specialists recommended Don Hogue at North Star Pro Shop in Fairlawn. I know that's a good way away from you, but maybe you can make a day trip to gets stats and layouts for future use.
If he's based out of Riviera Lanes, I'll be up there for the Ohio State Open tournament first week of May. Maybe I'll go ahead and plan a day or two early and see what he can do for me!
After listening to the Podcast today... I would love to see this core or the Troublemaker core in a Urethane ball... And/or Nuethane.
Great info, Bryan! My 2.5” D2COG absolutely trucks through the pins.
Keep up the great work!
love to hear it!

@BowlingBuckosh Noted. For a 2-handed player, is it best to drill deep fingers (3.5") or standard depth (2.5") will be fine?

I wish you would include speed ranges as well

@@BowlingBuckosh super helpful and confirms what I was thinking! You are the best! Thanks!
Brian, can a video be released showing how to lay a ball out using all of this?

Hi, can we use the 'No-Thumb_to_Dual_Angle_Converter_Combined' app with any ball from a different brand? Thank you
yes. the trends will be the same, but the differences in the layouts will not be as noticeable as they are with the DV8 No Thumb Cores.

that is a shame, they are behind the times. Where are you located?
