"What's that? You want me to announce it clearly with the red truth? Then I'll do that, just for you. *This is all truth-* "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!"
That trick didn't quite work in translation. In Japanese there's no difference between "This is all the truth" and "That this is all the truth ~~is not necessarily the case~~" but cut off. But in English there's a clear difference, and I and probably many others playing in English figured out the trick a bit too early because of it.
it is the truth contained in the book of the single truth though "the contents of the diary were officially revealed in the manga adaption of Twilight of the Golden Witch. It reveals that the truth presented by Bernkastel to Ange in Requiem of the Golden Witch was the truth"
The moment when ange is so viciously writhing in her chains unable to accept the "truth" that was just fed to her has to be one of my favourite umineko moments ever, even the vocal performance by her voice actress is so good that you can feel ange's desparation and grief, i truly have not enough words to properly describe the emotions she and you the reader are feeling in that scene because it's all so extreme. The realization that all the grief and pain ange had to go through all these years was caused by none other than her parents and her vicious denial of it is so heartwrenching, whether you believe bernkastel's words there as the one truth or not, she truly chose her words to cause as much damage to ange as possible, she's a wonderful villain in her right. Absolutely amazing ost!
ep 7 tea party was like the farewell and reveal of the mistery without magic and ep 8 felt like magic cope so ange could move on which still hits hard if you think about it
that scene had to be one of the best in all umineko in my opinion the best umineko scene, this theme also fits so well to this scene like the first scene it was used on the logic error scene infant queen bee is a subtle hint of the mastermind of this tragedy, it was not only one but so many factors that led to this outcome by the sins of the ushiromiya who have been rivals with each other since birth, all for out of everybody the mastermind ending up being birthed by the sins of the ushiromiya family (specially kinzo) the infant queen bee which i have read somewhere that if a fresh queen hatches they will kill the other fresh queen bees, ironic considering how the mastermind moved up to her position of power and then executed her plan on the day of the family conference theres some theories that battler planned episode 6 all along as the game master and my headcanon is that battler knew the way to escape the logic error but planned to make chick beato become and understand the true golden witch beatrice, battler could have used the trick of shannon kanon beatrice from the start to escape the logic error but to not reveal that mistery to erika and bernkastel he endured all of that agony to preserve the tale of the golden witch intact therefore why this scene plays "infant queen bee" in the background that represented the true identity of beatrice all along
One of the first things a queen bee does when she emerges is find any developing queen bees (infant queen bees) and kill them. Could this be a metaphor for how Erika Furudo was killed for the right as master of Rokkenjima or how Yasu was killed for the headship of the family?
I dunno how to explain but I feel like it is more related to Eva. In ep7 (while playing this ost) bern tells Angie that her aunt Eva returned home as the only survivory. “In the eyes of the public she became viewed as the queen of a vast criminal plot “. Maybe it can be considered irony to address Eva as a queen… maybe an infant queen destined to die (as the others in rokkemjima) is forced to live and take a crown with a price she would have never wanted to pay
it's more so related to how queen bee's aren't born any different than worker bees but are made that way by drinking "royal jelly" so the term infant queen bee is just revisionism it reflects beato's story pretty well
This has got to be my favorite track in all of umineko. I listened to it over 1000 times and I still can't get enough if it! I love this track and this series so much!!!
Episode 7 spoilers Left up to our own devices we create all these elaborate theories that could only exist in a storybook. Eventually the illusion shatters, and all we are left with is a hauntingly mundane solution. A grim reminder of what people are capable of. It wasn't premeditated and there was no spectacle, just two family members shooting the others dead for quick cash. what a horrifyingly beautiful scene

***** But this BGM was released in Episode 6's OST, and the truth behind Kinzo and Beatrice's relationship was revealed in Ep. 7. Plus, this played when Erika was cornering Battler during the logic trial battle.
quehay45 That retroactive move was badass. It was like moving her own King(or Queen, not sure if the queen has the same power) back to claim Battler's bishop. She attacked him mercilessly on two fronts. Either he could admit in red that the lock was in tact, or that it wasn't. Either way, she had forced Battler into a logic error. It was intellectually rapey :)
