Jack is the mold, the reliable support role in all our favorite team comps. The man builds foundations, full stop. It took me a while to fully realize and appreciate how dependable he has been across so many years and so much content. When ragequit first led me to the Minecraft series, then to AHWU and OG 7Days, Jack was the guy who took care of the essentials, in game and in banter, always and without fail. All the praise to the disgruntled, yet patient, self appointed cat wrangler, “imma build a house” Jack Pattillo!
While true, that's not to say he didn't also have his evil AH-like side! He could be just as chaotic as the others when he wanted to - he just understood that in most games that wasn't his role. Jack is a great example of a skilled collaborator for group entertainment; he had the skillset to do a lot of things, but (over time) recognised how he could best accent his coworkers' talents for the benefit of the final product.
So I learned from the wiki that being infected in this game isn't zombie virus infected, its a wound infection, (because if there was a cure in this game, it wouldn't be honey or just any kind of antibiotics)

Jeremy and Jack in 7 Days? Jeremy is the zombie killer while Jack is the base-builder. If more members of Achievement Hunter were to join in later Jeremy would be paired with Michael as the close-combat zombie killers with ranged support from Joe and Alfredo while Jack would have Simple Woodsman Geoff getting the resources to build the base. And then there's Gavin the Idiot Who Cried Zombie panicking up a storm while repeatedly having an oopsie with the 'drop-what-i'm-holding' button.
lol first time I ever hit the 'drop-what-I’m-holding' button I was holding my melee weapon whilst a zombie was 5 ft away It was like an actual scene from TWD where they struggle with a walker while reaching for the weapon You should’ve seen my ass scramble Priceless
Tips for your hoard base, use scaffolding ladders to build a wall between you and the zombies, they stop cop vomit but allow you to hit zombies. Also zombies will path on a skinny pole, so it works great for a path for them but they are easy to knock off the pole and make them run the base again.
One word... gamestage! Me thinks you guys forgot your gamestage accumulates a total for you all, which for a day 7 horde was remarkably high! But the reason it was so high so early is that you upped the xp gain. This is fine, but you really needed to up your loot percentage too, otherwise you encounter the issue you found where you had no resources or weapons. You are also going to need to strongly consider abandoning that horde base, because at the rate you're going, night 14 will have demolishers. I'm pretty sure their explosion radius is 5 blocks, which means you're going to also need a base tall enough to negate rage mode as well as the radius of explosions. For reference, the following special zombies appear at the following gamestages: 40 = Dogs & Dire Wolves (and be thankful you had none of those on a base with no protected kill point) 44 = Vultures 59 = Cops 64 = Feral Zombies 133 = Radiated Zombies 147 = Demolishers So you guys had an accumulated gamestage of at *least* 64, though I'd be willing to bet it's higher. It's probably taking Jack's gamestage as the base level, since I'm assuming he's a higher overall level, then adding all of you on at a percentage of your gamestages (50% for the second highest, 25% for the next, 12.5% and so on). You're also going to need to consider prioritizing any missions at crack-a-books and just visiting POI's with books in general. And because you guys are specializing the skills, it needs to be the people who are pumping points into weapon skills, for a greater chance at those specific books. If Kat is your specialized salvager and miner, get her a wrench, ratchet or impact driver and get her breaking down vehicles, electronics, broken vending machines, ATM'S and send her down a mine with an iron ore vein. Jack, if you can make iron tools, get her a pickaxe! Caiti, coffee! If you can find The Art of Mining volume 3, you can give this to Kat, and she'll be able to harvest 10% better while on a coffee buzz. If Caiti can get volume 4, she can craft blackstrap coffee, which is even better, granting a boost to stamina regen! Not trying to detract from the fun at all, you guys play how you want! This is just my advice. But take great care with your gamestage, because night 14 is certainly going to be an interesting one.

It's nothing like this on standard XP/Standard loot. I am quite often amused by Jack's "Assumed" knowledge of this game.
Just a couple notes: when you die there's now an option to spawn on your bed or to spawn near your backpack so even if you drop your stuff upon death it doesn't take forever to get back to it. There are horde bases you can build that are melee where you don't have to waste ammo and you can design them so that the zombies won't attack the supports of the base and you can do all that with a much simpler base design than this one. Honestly just 2 blocks to block off the end of the zombie path would keep you much safer, they'd have to break down the blocks before hitting you and with spears you could hit them while they're hitting the blocks. Hordes spawn more zombies based on how many people you have in the server. IT'S SO MUCH WORSE TO HAVE A BROKEN LEG THAN A SPRAIN WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? Sprain takes 10 minutes to heal, broken leg takes 2 hours to heal. The cast brings the broken leg down to like 30 minutes but is still way worse than a sprain! You don't actually have to listen to any of my advice. You can play any game in any manner that works for you! But there are ways to get a lot more out of your base while putting a lot less work in.

I just started a new run through of 7 Days, set up house. Playing while watching this realize OMG I think I took over the same house as them. Watch a few seconds more and compare to my game. YEP same house same place same sign same burnt land right next door.

Dont forget to completely empty the boxes when you pick loot. If not they dont gain other loot when loot respawns it will stay the same. At least it used to im not sure about the full release.

Almost all crop seeds are sterile this is true for all produce at the grocery store and has nothing to do with monopolization. If you garden and want to save seeds look for heirlooms not hybrids
It's also because crop seeds are constantly being improved on. You don't want old seeds crossing with new and improved seeds and weakening the new breed. Best crops possible means not saving seeds.

Jeremy for the blood moon base have strong blocks on the path so it slows the zombies down and buys time for you to shoot them, yes zombies will fall off the path but it gives you more survival time also when it gets close to the base you either need a metal door or hatch to stop zombies getting into your area of the bloodmoon base, if not have a wide gap where you can freely remove the wooden blocks that aren't upgraded to make it so the zombies can't all jump over (except from spider zombies) yes they would start to attack the bottom after but its better to have that instead of continuely dying to zombies in the bloodmoon base shooting area.

they have but you need to buy the 1.0 game as its a separate game from the original console release as the telltale version of the game on console was abandoned
That horde base was so bad, good in theory, but just hurt to watch. You should look into different block shapes, you can make a small building with arrow slots and have them all funnel to 1 entrance blocked with open trap doors (which they will stack on and try brake).
