I made the mistake early on thinking I needed to learn to tie allsorts of fancy Knots! when really these days in my fishing the best knot i know and always use is the simple figure of 8 loop knot
Good shout on Number 3. We have all been there. Do your research or ask for advice in your local tackle shop before buying, and buy the best you can afford
Mine has to be using solid bags in the middle of January put a lot of smart liquid in the bag, reeled the rods in after a few hours to a solid block of smart liquid and micro pellets surrounding the hook.
#1 for me by far Is not setting your Drag on your reels before casting! and after every run! I still mess up to this day...I always check my drag before first cast of the session...but after ive played and caught a fish and adjusted my drag....I STILL forget to reset my Drag after the fight and its a nightmare when u get another run! Is it just me? or have we all forgot this mistake?
even worse ...leaving your drag locked up and your rod and pod getting dragged into the lake on a run....hasnt happened to me me...but i know a few anglers that have lost the lot ! >
Sorry guys but I disagree straight away with your first comment , you say if you haven't got a rod licence your poaching which is partly correct , but the bottom line is if your fishing any waters that your not a member of whether it be club waters , syndicate waters ect then your poaching ....
The fact you're saying if you haven't got a licence your poaching is not correct , I'm just highlighting the fact that you can be poaching with a rod licence !!!...

Depends on how much money you have to spend on tackle,

We thought having a ticket/pass for the venue goes without saying…
