Thanks for asking Jason! Typically our customers are defining what they would like to see for a PM program. A basic program would include sharpening, maintenance/repairs, keeping a maintenance log up to date and returning the tool. If things need to be more involved then we would need to discuss and review those specific needs.
@Wisconsin Metal Parts, Inc. I was wondering what you guys use to clean your tooling and as a set up person for a 250 ton bliss with 10 inch stroke. Some of my dies make a lot of metal shavings. The guy who set up before me messed up a bunch of my dies setting his feeder to high forcing the press to pull on the coil/feeder and the 1st few stations have bad punches and the pilots pull slugs now. I know tooling should fix it. But i have it running great and making good parts so they don't want to spend time on it when we have a lot of broken tooling. Just wondering how i can extend to operation of the die and not mess the die up while cleaning it out. I use an air gun atm. Really sucks doesn't do a good job and i get covered in lube and metal shavings.
Jessica, we do not design our customers products. We take their part designs and build the necessary tooling to make the parts to the defined specifications.
What is included in a typical die PM service?

Timing and speed and timing on the feed roller too.
What are the white dots on the large pins on the dies? In your videos, some of the large pins look blue with white dots. What is that?
The blue cages are part of a die set that has ball bearing guide pins.
Does your company design automotive connectors?
