    At 15:16, REALLY good bow tuning shown in the slow-mo arrow flight sequence; that arrow was so smooth.

    Howdy Jason. Congrats on the nice bull! Your plan worked perfectly. The more you show the Missouri Breaks the more I realize just how awesome the area is. As you stated, it has all kinds of wildlife one would want to see and pursue! The terrain is not what I imagined. It is beautiful and has such variety to it. I've also heard that when it rains your feet turn into a monster big foot of clay. If that is the only disadvantage then it is still a fine place. I hope to see more of this wonderful area as I cruise through you excellent videos! Thank you very much! Later on Jason.....

    I absolutely love everything about elk hunting. I'll, most likely, never get to do it. But everything about it is so beautiful! The majesty of these beautiful beasts. The amazing country they live and thrive in. And the potential mass of a big bull. The great natural,stunning beauty of these creatures that move with such grace. Proof of God's existence and nature's bounty.

      North East Montana on the Missouri River, its a very big area and most of it is very hard to get to except by boat then you still have to walk quite a ways.

    Hunt them. As long as it's Legal. Plenty of poaching in Montana. For no reason a lot of the time too.

  • @jake5344
    @jake5344 7 років тому +5

    why is packing out the skull and rack the go to for every hunting show/video? Why don't they show them packing out the meat? Is it just not as aesthetically pleasing? It would be nice to see the way somebody manages by themselves or just two people to divide and pack out the whole bull.

    • @sprockcapn
      @sprockcapn 7 років тому +3

      jake5344 I hunt the breaks and judging by the film, I bet they hauled meat out at night and got it on ice first. Being that is was packed out in the dark, there likely isn't a lot of light to film it. Then they came back and got the head in the morning. You want to get the meat out asap so it doesn't spoil from the heat. Typically with an elk you have to pack them out, so you want to get all 4 quarters off, the back straps and tenderloins and any other meat you can. Then typically each person can carry a quarter, or if you are solo you have at least 5 trips in and out hauling meat on your back.

    • @williammawk1720
      @williammawk1720 6 років тому +1

      Just like sprockcapn says, the meat ALWAYS comes out first then the head and cape. A lot of times if the weather is to warm you even take it to a cold storage plant then come back for the rest.
