- Jason & his good friend Barrett Haugan hunt the famous Missouri River Breaks for bull elk with a bow. Witness as Barrett takes his best bull ever!!
Howdy Jason. WOW. Barrett shot a great bull with his bow! And ya'll got to watch and enjoy a large elk herd for days. How nice! Those are times you should NEVER FORGET. The scenery in those Breaks are just awesome in my mind. You are very fortunate to let you eyes soak up every day you spend there. Thank you for letting us into your world! Later on Jason.....

Two great videos! My parents lived near the breaks for 10 years, I live in Wyoming and hunt the mountains but, always wanted to hunt that country. When we came to visit, we always saw great bulls, also some monster bucks. It was really cool for me to be able to see you guys work those elk in that country so well. Great job!

Barrett was correct. The 11th is a few days early. the 15th through the 20th is PRIME time in the Breaks for the Big boys to be grabbing the Cows. Great job being there early and scouting guys.

NOTHING IS SWEETER than being on a hunt without the hinderance of public hunting pressure. Great game plan rewarded with a great bull!

Was this bull shot on public or private? I know when we were up the 2019 hunting season with rifle my mom got a really nice 6 by 7 score 377 and a half on public land so just goes to show you can still get nice bulls on public land in that area... great video and awesome bull
That's awesome and a great bull no matter where you are hunting!! Congrats! This bull was shot on private land in this video but these bulls are drifters. You never know where you might see them next!
Jason I know you don't know me but I drew a breaks archery tag for 2017. If you have any tips or suggestions let me know. You are an amazing hunter and have some really awesome films so I just wanted to see if you had any input. I live about 4 hours from the breaks so I plan on scouting at least 4 or 5 times this summer and just before season. I have 10 days to get it done so I hope that's enough.

Can you hunt on Missouri breaks on general season? Or you have to do by drawing?
It is mostly all drawing for hunting elk.
How can you put in for a Missouri elk tag?? I didn’t know you could hunt them yet.

its all easy on privet property, there not even scared of trucks and tractors.

Ben Ballew are you suggesting you can’t drive anywhere on public ground? Ranchers can drive all over the place anytime of the year to access cattle, salt, water, etc. Hunters have access to drive across hundreds of thousands of public lands around Montana. To answer you question this was filmed on both private and public.
Just ironic that they drove right up to the elk?
Cameraman should have zoomed in on the bull as you shot it.

This hunt cost me nothing. 0$ Sometimes it pays to be kind or know these Ranchers for my entire life. Funny how people assume hunting on private equals money. Makes me laugh!
