Love the quote, "The Architect was not even able to relate to the context he created." I agree, there is a point where living in a concept breaks down because humans will only tolerate so much deviation from the norm that is imposed upon them by the built environment. It does feel that these do push the limit at times.
Ha! If you watch Bjarke Ingles TED talk he actually talks about how the immediate context affected The Mountain's volumetry: he says it's shaped the way it is to avoid blocking the view from his apartment
@@IvaYDenmark yes a lot of open spaces. I think that’s what loft style is all about. I like the ‘wasted’ space though. It makes the apartment look airy.
Interesante contenido pero se pierde mucho con las textos que colocas al medio y la musica molesta mucho, pero muchas gracias por compatir!! Interesting content but you lose a lot with the texts that you put in the middle and the music bothers a lot, but thanks for sharing!
An architect myself, I love your channel, Kudos! Liked - Subscribed - Will spread the word :) Do get in touch if in India ever, would love to do a tour with you folks
I know it is kinda late, you probably know the answer to your own question already, but in case you don't know yet, the book is called Hot To Cold, by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group).
omg never figure out they are all in same city, thats why video is more important than picture :) btw 8 house provides poor living quality as the semi public turns out open to the visitors and living rooms are just looking at each other :(

That's because he - and I quote - "fucked the context"

Danazz Zzz yes The Mountain building is just beside VM buildings and yea it is on top of the parking building
Really? Isn't there so much wasted space because of the staircases in each apartment? It sure looks cool, though! 👌
