Ah, the Crazy Charlie. For all those that think this is just a salt water fly for bones, I would suggest tying s few in dark or wild colors and try them for carp, bass, crappie, bluegill and trout. You might find they work wonders in your local waters. Well done Mr. Galloup.
Congratulations (I think) on your purchase off a lodge on Abaco! I’ve been doing a lot of poking around those parts and I’m glad to have a trusted resource in the Bahamas. I will be making plans to visit there, as well as my usual trips to MT. Let us know when the Patagonia region lodge is coming so start making yearly travel plans, by season :-)
What’s a Kelley fly tying video without the pup cameo. Really have enjoyed your fly tying tutorials, and have learned a lot over the years. Last week I was fishing on an overcast gloomy day, not having that much success and one of your tips ran through my mind when you said flies with less flash catch more fish on overcast days (something to that effect). I cut off my flashy/beaded nymphs and put on some beadless nymphs and the ol split shot and ended up having a great day nymphing. Best of luck down in the Bahamas. Cheers
Hello Kelly. Great video and nice tie. I’ve been trying to find the MFC 7052 hook you showed a few weeks ago. But having no luck at finding them. They would be some great hook to do articulated flies. Could you please help. Thank you, Ken from wva
@@TheSlideinn How good are those scissors you guys sell that that company made for you(adjustable tension), as good as New tungsten Dr Slicks(for trimming deer hair).
What size hooks do recommend for Abaco bones? You and your viewers might find this article on stress testing bonefish hooks interesting. See... “Common Bonefish Hook Tests” at fish-bones.com. I’m steelhead fishing this April, but I will try to join you on Abaco next year, God willing. I enjoy your tying videos immensely. Thank you.
