I know After The Love Is Gone and Boogie Wonderland got most of the attention off "I Am" but for my money this was the best song on that album. Best live version of this song I've heard.

@@lamontwallace4323 He was let go once in the early days, because he was still working with Stax as a music contractor and EWF at the same time. He missed a show. They had a bad performance on a show with Parliament, then Maurice called him back to join EWF again. You're right though. According to Maurice White's book "I sent Al a letter of termination"
