Leo Jaymz's DIY products have always been committed to reducing the difficulty of assembly. Under the guidance of our assembly instructions, the difficulty of assembly can be reduced to zero. As an entry-level instrument for guitar enthusiasts, it is very fun to make a guitar yourself.

👍 I did one of these a Tele about 3-4 years ago , it was a lot of fun. I sanded and painted the body and headstock and upgraded all the parts. Came out pretty good for a first time build , I think mine was from Bex Gears if I remember correctly from Amazon. I would totally recommend anyone who's into playing guitars to try it for themselves. Definitely comes in handy down the road if you want to learn how to fix or adjust things on your own without paying someone else to do it...✌️🤘

If anyone considers themselves serious about guitars, I think you should put one together yourself at least once, and this kit seems good quality for such an inexpensive price. It will make you feel so much more confident in your guitar skills knowing you put this together yourself.

Great Review Shredder! I really love the grain in that mahogany body and the contrast of that deep dark ebony fretboard! Im looking at those amps in the 🧡 orange & yellow 💛 colors...and a 10% coupon to boot??? 😱 It sounded really great paired with your Monsoon! Had I not got a great ebay deal on a BlackStar + 4 pedals a few months ago... I'd definitely be pulling the trigger on this!
Also... Thanks for the great time we all had last night hangin' out on your Live Stream... every week I think: He can't top that, but every week, YOU DO!

This was my first guitar ever! I built one of these kits last year and it still works! Although soon I plan on switching the pickups because for me personally they don’t necessarily quite cut it anymore.

  • @mikes11220

The amp is ok. The guitar has potential- I bought a guitar online a few years ago (unbranded Glerry) and changed the heads, installed a graphite nut, Reworked the baseball bat C neck, fret job, string trees an wrapped the cavities with copper tape. I left the pickups, they were ok. . It's a beautiful guitar (It took awhile, alotta work and a Few bucks) It's not for everyone, but it you have the knowhow and some time...this looks like a good priced guitar to work over.

Nice review. Very balanced. I have lost count of how many stratocaster kits I have built or stratocasters that I have modified. It sounds like it would be a good kit to build and I like that you don't have to cut the headstock, (that at times can be somewhat tricky) . So are you going to upgrade it?

    Salutations Shredder!
    Thanks for the honest review!
It seems like a good bargain for building a great aftermarket Stratocaster, and there are plenty of options for improving the performance of the instrument. It is especially nice that it comes with a neck that has an ebony fretboard, I didn’t catch whether it has stainless steel frets, which would be extra nice, also, there was no mention of the tuning machines either, however, better ones can be easily installed if they need improvement. For a beginner, with a limited budget, this is a great option, and for someone experienced, this is a good option for building a guitar to suit their tastes.
You can paint it any color you like, or you can leave it with the natural wood grain.
    Keep on jamming!
    Thanks again for the review!
Please have an excellent and awesome day!
    ☀️✨🎸

Hey Richard I was wondering if there is a version of this Strat kit that offers a 22 fret neck instead of the traditional 21 fret neck shown here which is still cool but I am a former Les Paul style guy that now prefers Strats but I also prefer them with 22 frets so that i can play everything i can on a Les Paul with a Strat and some solos that use the 22nd fret are impossible to replicate on a 21 fret guitar but its not a deal breaker if the 21 fret is all thats offered as its still a really cool kit but i just wish it had a 22 fret neck option but if not it still seems like an awesome kit, I do hope Leo James add a 22 fret option to this kit if not already an option

You're right, David. A little counterclockwise tweak of the truss rod will likely help that a lot. Maybe some adjustment to the string heights at the bridge. And definitely some decent strings. For a novice these are all things that can be looked at as good learning opportunities, and what better way to learn? But for a cheap kit this is not bad at all. I could go down to GC this afternoon and find worse-playing brand-name guitars than this for $200-500.
