They need to show more of these older programs for the younger kids growing up. They only put them on certain channels and where I do not know. But this one was my favorite amongst many Sci-Fi series like the original Star Trek and don't forget to go to wish monsters which was a perfect cast in itself. They were all perfect for the part. We grew up in a great generation of the 60s and 70s

A lovely show. Watched while I was growing up, around the age of 6 onwards. A brilliant show for its time, and great imagination. Would never have dreamed that all the technology is so near that of today.. Would love to see it again

Each season of this short series was almost like three individual series' of their own. Each of them was highly different and unique from the other, with pretty much totally different styles, feel and looks. Each of them, the entire series, has incredible and lovable charm.. :-]

Absolutely loved this show, it was my favourite. It would be fantastic if they could put the reruns back on TV. I don't know about anywhere else in the world but here in Australia, we haven't seen the show since it ended. I may just have to buy the series. We have reruns of other old shows but not Lost In Space.
This was a great TV show back in the 60's! It was either that or wild wild west or "Tarzan"starring Ron Ely! My brother also had a fight over the "Batman" TV series starring Adam West!
I'm glad it's being repeated on the horror channel at 8pm . The last time it was repeated in Britain was in1988/89 when I watched it again after seeing it when I was a kid in the swinging 60s. Classic sci fi. It started off seriously then it became tongue in cheek & zany.

It would be so cool and neat, to have a robot suit for comic-cons!Maureen was the ideal, nice, mom, Will was my age and Penny was the 'older woman' heart throb. And the robot was just 'neat'.
True but it was the Perfect cast of all the characters together.! Billy played the excellent part of Will Robinson. And of course let's not forget Zorro the perfect dad. In June Lockhart was excellent for the mom the sisters could be replaced. But the dr. Zachary Smith the robot we're a comedy team together and will fit right in with them to and the perfect mom and dad. All together they were all excellent. Just like The Munsters they could never find a better Herman Munster. And his cast. These old time shows will go on forever I wish they would show more reruns
Ronnie Sorry, I have to disagree. Dr Smith was excellent in the first series but, they turned him into a buffoon after that and that ruined the series. It became a slapstick comedy about Dr Smith, Will and the Robot to the detriment of the other characters. Series one is the only one worth watching.
I looked with so much anticipation for the series debut in 1965 that I would hang around the house that summer with the TV on hoping to see the advertisement for it. I was mesmerized by it when it when premiered But became so disappointed with so many episodes with nelly dr Smith and by the last year it was just too silly. I am in awe of Netflix’s reboot of the show it is what I always dreamed the show should be like

What started out as a fun family adventure show tanked the second half of the first season and it all went downhill after that.i stopped watching it after 10 shows from season 1. Guy Williams and the rest of the cast took a back seat to harris.

Enjoyed all of Irwin Allens shows. Were they corny as hell? Sure. But that was who Irwin was. Were they excellent scifi like the original outer limits, twilight zone, all the various star trek series or even babylon five or the battlestar galactica remake? Nope but thats what i had as a kid and they paved the way for what was to come.

Not a bad effort. However, instead of playing the theme music back-to-back on several occasions, it would have sounded a lot better if some of the well-known incidental music from this series had also been included. Just saying, not criticising.

Ronnie Star Trek was more cerebral and used its characters and story lines as social commentary on the issues of its era, whereas Lost In Space was more geared towards the heart and was more family oriented. Sure, The Great Vegetable Rebellion was a really goofy episode, but overall L.I.S. strived to be simply fun family entertainment and that is where it succeeded and lasted for three years.

One of my favorite shows as a kid. Unfortunately, the actors were given some pretty bogus scripts. I guess I was less critical when I was 10 years old. Even back then, I knew something was wrong when the giant talking carrot wanted to turn Major West into some sort of tree. Killer cast, great props, crud for writing. BTW, who sends a single family to "colonize" a new world?
if we are to believe only major don west was the original non family member (smith of course was not planned to be there) then mission control lacked some serious ethical earth ethos. It could be why years later some pretty horrible monsters turned up in star trek and star wars !!! all that inbreeding eh !!

Hi my name is adrienne.and I want to say about my old movie lost in space.I grew up looking at that movie and I want to comment that the movie is a good one.and I love the cast and what I love the most is doctor smith and that robot.and they do tickle me so much.and I love the movie and the cast play the movie so well.and I do enjoyed it so much that I just keep on looking at it every saturday at twelve noon at every saturday night.and I do love that movie.and I would love to ask you for a robot

One of my favorite shows as a kid. Unfortunately, the actors were given some pretty bogus scripts. I guess I was less critical when I was 10 years old. Even back then, I knew something was wrong when the giant talking carrot wanted to turn Major West into some sort of tree. Killer cast, great props, crud for writing. BTW, who sends a single family to "colonize" a new world?
if we are to believe only major don west was the original non family member (smith of course was not planned to be there) then mission control lacked some serious ethical earth ethos. It could be why years later some pretty horrible monsters turned up in star trek and star wars !!! all that inbreeding eh !!
