Hello Dave, I've just met you via Bram's latest video, and have subscribed. Good luck with the new shop, which will be similar to mine; completed in 2008 and has already needed a new flat roof. I'm near Chester , so I know about rain. The roofers hardly improved the ceiling and lighting, crashing about. I kept to fluorescent tubes as they provide enough heating in winter and create no dust. Still I have to keep my edge tools and work holding accessories indoors to avoid rust, which is jolly inconvenient. Looking forward to your new start; I too like simple bowls, with variations in lip and wood. Bernard.
You’ve been busy mate, nice too see your getting things sorted and looking forward to your next turning project, Have to have a catch up soon mate Cheers Nick 👍
well done dave. Winter rust is a problem i have in my garage, turn my back for 5 minutes and there's more of it. I have exactly the same lathe as you - how do you find having it on a stand rather than the bench?
hi Mick thanks for your comment oh do you thats great i find more accessibilty around the lathe on a stand instead of a bench, it does rock a bit more if the piece is out of balance, any more questions feel free to ask bud, thanks dave
