I like how, despite all her crazy, Amanda still has a soft spot to protect the kids, and how she genuinely got upset when Cecilia killed Gabriella. It lines up with how she protected Detective Eric Matthews’ son in the 2nd game, and one other instance, that I can’t mention to after y’all have seen the other movies.
Fun fact: Tobin, who is 81, was actually waterboarded for that scene. He wanted to delve fully into character as he always does. There BTS footage of it.
he is 81 and still able to pull of the role as John Kramer, and blood boarding trap, him in the trap actually being waterboarded for the scene, it's incredible!
@@matthewbaumann630I think they used a stunt double but Tobin also did some of the scenes. I’m guessing for the more extreme parts where the submersion was longer they had a stunt double in
Absolutely, all of those silly ass John scenes, him sitting on that park bench in PUBLIC drawing trap ideas 😭 It’s goofy, it’s more soap opera than horror and that’s why I love it so dearly already 🫶
I don’t understand why some people are mad about the traps being unbeatable and them not really having a chance to begin with. Like John said “you took the one thing they had left, hope”. So what does John do? He took away their hope. And even then they all still technically had a chance. They just weren’t quick enough and wasted time. Something they took away from all the patients they were “helping”. I loved this one, tbh this probably is the final Saw and I’d say they ended it right if it is
none of these people had a chance anyway lol. these things are not even close to possible in 3 minutes, that's just movie time. but beyond that, if it was really all about the "spirit" of making the choice, i'd say valentina and matteo going through with it and actually doing what they were told to is honoring the fact they were truly willing to make that choice. why is there such a ridiculous time limit in the first place? what's the difference between giving people 3 minutes or 30 minutes, either way they're gonna die if they don't do it? why do valentina and matteo have to mutilate themselves AND extract stuff from their body when someone like amanda just had to free themselves? so it's just annoying seeing john being all preachy when the games aren't standard across the board and he has these people actually doing these impossible tasks and kills them anyway.
as I said, he took away their hope. and later in the timeline he does make the rule to never make it personal. So I am sure this had a part in him making that rule@@jamesliggins891
Looks like they forgot kramer is, at the end, just a serial killer. The fairness and all that shit only makes sense for him, but the main goal is the torture, he just is "fair" when people actually got off, but is a twisted morality, or he would actually give people more time to do it
I love that this film delved more into the dynamic between John and Amanda. And that we got a little sprinkle of Hoffman at the end. We didn't get much of the John-Amanda apprentice vibes because the plot twist happened at the end of 2 and Amanda dies at the end of 3. So it was definitely nice to see their relationship blossom into what we see when 3 rolls around. I have a feeling that the events of this movie probably solidified Amanda's idea that people can't be rehabilitated and put the idea of unwinnable traps in her head. Especially when Cecilia had that little boy dragged into this. She was absolutely vile. Scamming dying people out of their money and giving them false hope to cling to and then LYING about it is so wild. Glad she got played in the end. Cecilia: You've beaten me at my own game John: Don't flatter yourself. You were never even a player
What's so fascinating about the Jigsaw/John Kramer character is that he believes he's the hero. He believes his moral code is extreme but just. And Tobin Bell plays the character exactly that way, so earnest in "helping" people. God, it was so great to get to see Tobin in the role from start to finish, really sinking his teeth into the meat of the performance. Amazing to see him still acting at 81.
Saw X immediately went to my top spot in the Saw franchise. I'm a huge Saw fan, and Part 6 was originally my favorite. Saw X did so much right in my opinion. This was the Saw movie they've needed to make for years now, as opposed to Spiral and Jigsaw (I did like Spiral, though). The part where Valentina's body just flops down in the background is both horrifying and hilarious. Great movie!
SO REAL!! Number 1 will always be my favourite, I love it too dearly for that, but Saw X has taken my number 2 spot from Saw 6 as well! This series is so godamn great though, it’s quite hard picking favourites when every movie brings something new and fun to the plate
You need to remember that the point of the traps are to not hesitate. Any hesitation could be life or death. Perfectly displayed in Valentino's and Mateo's trap
Awesome reaction ❤ Interesting fact : they actually water boarded Tobin Bell ( there's behind the scenes footage). The man is 81 years old and his dedication to his role is absolutely amazing.
My first language is spanish so it was okay for me, but I find it so annoying for people that don't understand it when movies don't have subtitles if the main language is not being used, so much can be lost 😔 Awesome movie non the less. Great reaction guys! Love you ❤ Sorry for my english hehe
6:34 This is what made this movie and its twist so good. They may have put themselves in a corner by revealing the major plot of the movie in the trailer, but since it has multiple outs and explanations, it still leaves the viewer guessing. It's SO great.
When the poster for Saw X was released with the eyes and the tubes, myself and others were speculating what the trap did. We didn't guess a vacuum and instead guessed what would go through the tubes TO the eyes: acid, boiling oil, fire ants, bleach... and then we started getting goofy with lemon juice, tarantula hair and shampoo. And then one person did guess it was a vacuum, and I had hoped not. But it turned out not to look disappointing! Very nasty.
he’s not dumb for believing the procedure, he was desperate and wanted to believe that he has a real chance of living. also the point of giving them false hope went over your heads bc all he was doing was doing to them what they did to him. that was the whole point lol
I really wish this trailer was like the original Saw trailers where they didn't let you know shit. Going into this one, you knew immediately not to trust anyone. Still a damn good movie.
I didn’t watch the trailer so the twist shocked me. I was wondering the while time where the direction is f this was going and who was going to be tortured this movie
It makes me wonder if Gabriella could have survived if Amanda hadn’t changed the test order. John would treat Gabriella with what he could, while Amanda set up the brain surgery. Maybe moved her to another room or something, away from Cecilia. On the other hand, Parker showed up before test 2, and if both Amanda and John were busy after test 2, Parker could have switched it up sooner. Or, since they were greedy people, might have waited for Mateo to die so they could keep more money.
Yes, it was important to watch Saw IV before this one, only because of Hoffman. Other ones are not connected to this specific story, because this happened somewhere between Saw 1 and 2. There are stuff in Saw VI related to surgery, but the fans are not sure if it has anything to do with a "surgery" from this movie. It wasn't explained.
A majority of your concerns with John’s actions are mixed with the fact that you really don’t know Hoffman and Amanda’s full stories, especially in 5-7
The way the story is set up was partially the reason for my smile, because I knew revenge was coming. Bell is as terrific as ever and it was great to see Shawnee Smith on the big screen after all these years. Praise to all of the other actors who had to endure a lot physically. The sinister characters, ultra cruelty all highly entertaining. Sure some of what the characters are forced to and reluctantly have to do is over the top but I knew what I was in for and embraced it. When the after credits scene started playing I said wow this movie gave me everything I wanted.
He removed the gun powder (and I assume primer caps) from the bullets. Primer caps also have their own explosive and the reason why Brandon Lee died on the set of "The Crow" is because some of the bullets didn't have their primers removed, so when one shot was fired in testing it caused a bullet to go off with enough force to get stuck in the barrel, a second shot during the actual filming of a scene dislodged that bullet and sent it flying at Brandon, killing him.
Saw X is for sure one of the best films of 2023 for me. I was super surprised with how much I liked this one. It felt... different from what I was used to seeing. It didn't start off in some dark and gritty looking area nor did it start off with a person in a trap. This was more of an emotional and plot driven story this time. It showed us something we didn't really see before. We get to see a different side to John and we see more of him. Maybe more so than 2 ever did. Loved the relationship between John and Amanda in this one as well. X made me kind of liked Amanda again. 3 and 6 really ruined her character for me and for the longest time, I've held such contempt for her. Liked that she kind of got a bigger role here. Hell, even the musical score is different here too. Charlie brought in some really nice calmer, warmer and more emotional cues. I was so caught off guard with how sublime it was. Was shocked hearing more choirs and solo female vocals. Was really giving me Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon vibes for some reason and I ain't even mad about it. Hopefully Charlie Clouser will do more music like this in the near future. Of course, we still get our usual Saw traps and the like too! I really do not know which trap is my favorite in this one. They all were unique and cool in my opinion. I think its tied with the eye trap, the razor wire trap or the brain trap. I do also like the bomb and Gabriela's traps were cool too! The ending was nice too. Seeing John, Amanda and Carlos walking into the sunrise was sublime and liked seeing Hoffman in the post credit scene as well.
37:57 the moment Cecilia killed Gabriela after she beat Johns game and future experiences with Xavier and Eric Matthews since this before saw 2. are what made Amanda Realize Johns philosophy was flawed and lose faith Im not gonna say what the final Breaking point on what led her to go rogue and kill lynn from saw 3 Since yall havent gotten to Saw 6 yet Which explains
Fun fact. We techs can’t tell you results, only the doctor can. We can’t read results as our job is to scan ya/Draw blood and send it off to the lab to be analyzed 😂 2:452:47
Saw x tbh is my personal perfect saw , also the 3 minute timer I truly believe it’s the creators not having a grasp on time rather than John not giving them a chance. It’s clearly intended to be possible but they definitely underestimated it
It's definitely John at his cruelest. Most of the traps you would need to start almost immediately to have a chance, as they have a fake-out false hope delay at the end.
@@jinxysaberk doesn't it? The movie goes out the way to point out the hypocrisy and dissonance in John's original philosophy, and in how he justifies it to himself as not killing Even Cecilia's trap has the dashing of hope moment, with her thinking she's won before it all collapses. It's not surprising he's able to justify this to himself too, as he still gave them a "chance".
@@TheMooRam this falls apart when you look at her trap and Gabriella’s and the taxi drivers. Their tests were actually all survivable (even tho 3 mins wouldn’t be enough to get the pipe bombs off either especially after running about like he did) The creators 100% flubbed it with the timing
I reload/handload bullets as a hobby, and I just noticed something very cool about the scene where John is disabling the gun. It's implied that he dumped the powder from all of the bullets and replaced them in the magazine, so if someone were to remove the magazine and glance at the bullets everything would appear normal, BUT... we only see him dump the powder from one bullet, which means... A bullet with a good primer but no gunpowder still has just enough oomph to leave the casing and get stuck inside the barrel, that's called a squib load. IF there's nothing wrong with the next bullet, and you cycle the action and attempt to fire again without checking the barrel for an obstruction, there's a very very high chance of the gun exploding in your hands due to the extreme back pressure caused by the bullet stuck inside the barrel. You can imagine the possible damage this could do to the person holding it. Best case scenario, it permanently disables that weapon and you're rattled for the rest of the year. Worst case scenario, you take barrel shrapnel to the face/neck area, lose your hands, eyes, sever an artery, etc. So, in a way, the gun is its own Jigsaw trap. I would like to THINK that is why they show John only actually tampering with just one bullet, but John would have to be banking on someone not cycling the action twice and ejecting the tampered bullet, which would ruin that whole plan. Still, it's something fun to ponder and very much a realistic threat.
49:23 it is weird that John was concerned about Carlos and not the others, but I think the reason John was concerned was that he had no connection with anyone in the game, not to mention how he knew Carlos as a friend
I remember talking to soeone after Saw 3 (I think it is, when the doctor has to keep John alive while her husband works through the traps and letting go of his dead son) that opening the skull would not be that bad. The brain has no nerve endings that would trigger pain, even during regular brain surgery the patient is usually awake and doing things because if the patient start to slur when talking the doctors know they are pushing on something they should not touch. The cranium as well is just bone, with no nerves in it so no pain there either. It's mainly the removal of the skin above the cranium that will hurt like a mothertrucker. It is still traumatizing like hell to inflict that pain on yourself, not to mention fighting all your body's self-preservation systems to keep opening the skull and meddle around in there.
Ik ur not supposed to feel bad for any of the drs but i feel bad for Gabriella ik she was apart of it but she passed her test man she didn't deserve to die like that
AYEEEEE i'm hella early, this is sick. i hope you guys enjoyed the film, i loved how they delved further into the mind of john and his dynamic with amanda brought a very wholesome take to the franchise. can't wait to watch what you guys think!!
They all deserved the traps in this movie. I've always liked John but this movie really made me cheer for him. I like that it's all about him and he's the protagonist essentially. That bitch dr was giving everyone shit advice so they'd lose their traps. And the first one the belt used to cut off circulation wouldn't have worked it can't be tied tight enough to cut off enough blood flow. She would have bled out. I also love John relationship with Carlos that kids a badass
I’m actually not super high on Saw X. I think it’s in the middle of the series for me, I think it’s well acted and I’m glad Tobin Bell got a chance to really shine because he’s so important to the franchise. I like that it fleshed out John and Amanda’s relationship. But because it was told from his perspective they had to totally morally shift the perspectives. She had to become cartoonishly evil in the end, and they had to bring the kid in to try to make John seem more “good”. I think the movie is very good until the third act, where it really falls apart for me. Which is weird for Saw movies because usually they build to a great ending even when the movies aren’t that good.
I absolutely loved this movie, bought it on digital the instant it came out, can't wait to add the blu-ray to my existing Saw collection. :D John has an unorthodox method to getting people to straighten up, because he is dying, and he sees people who take life for granted and don't relish the life they have that he himself will be deprived of because he has terminal cancer.
Ending for me could have been better, we all knew the twist was coming, which kinda still have me amazed, but the last trap for the 2 could have been better, in my opinion. In all, I don't think it was bad, but it's not the best the old saws just hit different.
when I say I'm watching every SAW X reaction I mean it >:] I love this movie so much, so happy we got to see more of John in this one and that you can kinda relate to John in a way
I'm glad you guys are watching this. Great reaction. If you had of finished the core series you would have known, you didn't need the trailer. Each movie in the core leads to this in a roundabout way. Because you know the movies are telling what happened to John in those three to four months.😂
The timers on the second and third trap should have been stopped as soon as they did the things they needed to do. The only reason they didn't make it was because the machines that were supposed to finish the puzzle were slow and they had no power over making them go faster. That's on John and he gets points for being legit ticked off at these people but if he wanted to give a fair chance to them, he messed up. The nurse also had incomplete instructions because if she had been told first to get the tourniquet on before anything else, she would have made it. That's on John and Amanda.
@@NobodyXChallengerYT They had stuff coming. But panicking and expecting to follow directions in a language that's not your first? Probably understandable and should be a variable that should be considered in the planning stage.
I feel like that's almost his intention. Most of the traps have an unexpected delay on the last stage after the actual event; they would need to start almost immediately to have a chance. It's almost like he wanted them to experience false hope, before the inevitable reality sinks in. They had already failed before making the first cut I think he was being petty and a bit hypocritical, which matches the movie nodding to the flaws in his jigsaw logic a number of times.
@@MorriganAtwood I do feel bad for Valentina, honestly. She deserved an extra 30 seconds rather than going first to be made an example out of. As for Mateo, his pronunciations aren’t perfect, but he did understand the rules.
The first trap for Valentina was very fair to her. If she (or any of them) knew enough about medicine or surgery, they'd understand the importance of the tourniquet. If she grabbed the tourniquet first she would have unlimited time to allow the bloodflow to be cut off before she picked up the Gigli saw which begins the timer. By then she has more than enough time to extract enough bone marrow. Took me like two react channels to figure this out.
I’ve heard that the actress for Amanda hated that she was her most well known role for the longest time. Hopefully with this movie that’s no longer the case, Amanda Young is an icon/legend/the moment and Mark Hoffman could NEVER!
This movie is literally the best of the franchise followed closely by saw 2. At the end of all the movies I hope you guys do a movie rank! I’d love to see it!
Why Saw X is refreshing: (A) Bell/Kramer is the star/protagonist for the first time. (B) Even if you disagree with his ideology, they give you an equally detestable villain to root against. (C) Despite being a mostly stand-alone tale, it subtly fleshes out elements from older movies without going overboard. If you know, you know - and if you don't, your enjoyment isn't hindered. (D) Not only do you get to see Kramer thinking and plotting new traps and ideas, but they're arguably some of the most brutal - so if you're a trap enthusiast, Saw X won't disappoint. For me, the eye + leg traps are wince-inducingly nasty, and the idea of self-performed brain surgery, or breaking your own wrist and ankle while being fried by radiation, is just ugh. Even the thought of cutting pipe bombs out of your inner arm is disgusting. I still prefer Saw 1+2, but Saw X is still a top pick for me.
I kinda wish the staff team would ask for traps made by fans. There's a museum of executions in Utah and one method showcased a gallow with a bucket tied to the noose. The inmate would fill the bucket and hang himself with it.
This is one of my favorites. It goes into the story of John Kreamer. Tobins performance was some of his best work to date. He performed it like it was his last performance ever.
So (this is quite morbid but my curiosity did get the better of me) you can find actual medical amputation videos on UA-cam with a Gigli Saw and the procedure only takes about 30sec to a minute long to execute. It’s kind of frightening but totally doable… now obviously it’s a movie, and a pretty mean spirited one, but it is technically plausible. Of course the film also needs to build the most tension possible so having everything come down to the wire (lol) makes sense. Pitfalls and all I love the Saw series. I’ve always found them incredibly entertaining and the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts. Saw X is definitely second to III, if not tied in my personal list. It’s just a great contained story and I was emotionally torn the whole watch through. So good!
For your question regarding the Brain Surgery trap: Your brain has no nerve endings, so pulling out part of your brain would not actually hurt, if anything it might feel weird. However, when we talk about logic, pulling out a piece of your brain is a very very dangerous thing to do, especially if you dont know what you're doing. What if you happen to tear out a piece of your brain that controls movement of your body, or a piece that effects your thinking. Maybe it would just straight up paralize him in the worst case. And besides, a DIY Brain Surgery with 0 knowledge on what anything does is NOT possible in 3 minutes
In defense of John, the kids he abducted usually have a safe way out. The only one that didn’t was Gordon’s daughter but also that was a time when they were trying to refine johns morals. For instance, Daniel was probably being protected by Amanda and Jeff’s Daughter was set to be saved by either Jeff or Hoffman depending on the circumstance.
What i like about the end of saw X is the chance of multiple possibilities, like the earlier saws had.. Imagine Parker keeping the rules, he would end up in the bloodboarding with cecilia, and they would try to save themselves on by pulling the lever. Another chance was PArker not going by the rules, and putting amanda and john in the trap. And than there is the unforseen thing, Carlos... But the end twist trap was the b plan, if parker and cecilia failed to be in the bloodboarding trap toigether, they ahd to fight against eachother again, for survival. Even if the twist itself was a bit weaker, the idea behind it is very solid imo
Well tbf both matao and Valentina wasted almost a full minute not doing anything and that costed them had they not wasted so much time they would have survived I do think those people definitely deserved it for scamming dying people who do end up kicking the bucket later except for Gabriela sucks Cecelia killed her
That’s why I avoid trailers as much as possible for things I’m looking forward to lol. It’s too bad it reveals so much. Edit to add more thoughts, here are my personal trap rankings; Eyeball Trap 9/10 Arm Bomb 10/10 Leg/Bone Marrow 7/10 Brain/Mayan Mask 8/10 Radiation Trap 2/10 Blood-boarding 8/10 Gas Trap 8/10 These rankings are based on how cool they are, survivability and plot progression The eyeball one was a great concept! Loved the theme of greedy eyes and greedy hands. Only thing that didn’t work for me is what happens after he fails? Does he just sit there and starve to death as punishment? But I can forgive that a bit as it’s literally a rough draft on the spot haha. Good on that dude to put the jewelry back For the arm bombs, traps where the victim survive are satisfying. You did it, buddy! It was brutal watching him tear into his flesh. Falling to the floor as the bomb explodes behind him was awesome and dramatic The leg trap is serviceable. God, seeing her stab herself in the bone made me wince. Dying by beheading isn’t anything new. While it’s frustrating how close she got to surviving, I think it was needed for the plot so less characters are talking over one another at the end. …She would have definitely bled out from cutting a major artery too, this trap is not survivable Having to cut out a piece of your brain is not a trap I would have ever thought of. Gruesome to watch, I loved it. Dude also needed to die for the same reason as the previous trap. But this death was much more satisfying as his face burned to a crisp in a Mayan mask John did NOT do his homework on radiation!! Gabriella isn’t going to appreciate life in the hospital. If it was so much exposure that her skin burned badly… her immune system is now gone. New cells can’t be generated so her skin will sloth off her body. Her digestive system will shut down, unable to absorb any of the nutrients that food is fed to her. That’s if she can keep food down anyway… breathing will feel like getting stabbed by a thousand knives if she ends up with fluid buildup in her lungs. Breaking her bones to become free isn’t anything new to the franchise. I only enjoyed the two twists that 1. The machine moved with her and 2. Showed how evil Cecilia is when she killed her. Amanda’s despair broke my heart The blood-boarding was simple enough. A nice spin on regular water-boarding. Great dynamic between John, Carlos and Amanda!! Finally… you know shit’s real when that theme song plays. Very clever to hide a gas trap with the empty money bag. “Where’s the money?” Are you sure, with a timer and blaring sirens, that money is gonna be your biggest concern? Gas was a great way to get that couple to turn on each other. Cecilia may have won… but John didn’t let her out of that room. He didn’t say it out loud, but John definitely wanted her to die all by herself up there. Alone. I was so so happy to get a movie Saw fans could enjoy. One that took itself seriously! I desperately want to believe the next couple of films will meet the same standards.
This is so not the kind of thing I usually notice in a film, but I just did watching your reaction. This is set between the first 2 Saw movies, and John Kramer sent an email for the trial with Gmail. Gmail came out in 2004, and there's no way John's old ass jumped to a brand new email address! He'd still be on AOL. And if he did jump to Gmail, it would have been early enough to get his name without the 994. Hold on, I think I just got a job with Cinemasins! Also I knew the brain surgery in this was faked because John didn't have a scar already when Lynn actually gave him brain surgery.
I saw this at the cinema, and it's up there with my favourites of the franchise. However, I sat in the front row so that no one could see me close my eyes during the leg trap! Just listening to the screams was enough for me 😀😀
Heres my response to everyone saying "just crank the dial to 5"cuz pretty much everyone reacting to the Eye Vacuum trap said the same. I think this dial is similar to a Washing Mashine dial where each setting only breaks one finger and as such if he instantly went to 5 it would only break that finger. The trap is designed to FORCE you through breaking all fingers one by one, prolonging the pain as much as possible.
I mean fair enough but that’s still not a bad price to pay. My first thought while watching it was more “Wow that’s surprisingly easy considering it’s a saw trap”
I was sceptical at the beginning with the first trap, thinking it was very mild for jigsaw, just turn the dial and break your god damn fingers quick! Gosh how I wasn’t prepared 😅
The thing about the traps in this one is that they are all completely doable within the time given, it's on them for hesitating and wasting their time, same way they wasted the time of the people they scammed
And this kinda to start delving deeper into it, if you get what i mean. I call it character development for amanda
I just presumed she ‘protected’ Eric Matthews son because that was John’s plan. He wanted him to survive

So it was definitely nice to see their relationship blossom into what we see when 3 rolls around. I have a feeling that the events of this movie probably solidified Amanda's idea that people can't be rehabilitated and put the idea of unwinnable traps in her head. Yes
When Cecilia pulled that bag and the timer started and Hello Zepp kicked in, I had literal chills in the theater

You need to remember that the point of the traps are to not hesitate. Any hesitation could be life or death. Perfectly displayed in Valentino's and Mateo's trap
Awesome reaction ❤
Interesting fact : they actually water boarded Tobin Bell ( there's behind the scenes footage).
Love you ❤
Sorry for my english hehe

This is what made this movie and its twist so good.
In a way he gave them more of a chance than they gave him.
I just call it saw x. It’s honestly probably my fav one now and I saw it in theater twice. Can’t wait to own it on dvd
I was soooo lucky i didn’t pay attention to the trailers, this was by far my favorite Saw honestly
37:57 the moment Cecilia killed Gabriela after she beat Johns game and future experiences with Xavier and Eric Matthews since this before saw 2. are what made Amanda Realize Johns philosophy was flawed and lose faith
Im not gonna say what the final
Breaking point on what led her to go rogue and kill lynn from saw 3
Since yall havent gotten to Saw 6 yet
Which explains
Fun fact. We techs can’t tell you results, only the doctor can. We can’t read results as our job is to scan ya/Draw blood and send it off to the lab to be analyzed 😂 2:45 2:47
@@TheMooRam yeah but it just doesn’t fit the character if that’s the case so I refuse to believe that was their intention with the traps.
@@jinxysaberk doesn't it? The movie goes out the way to point out the hypocrisy and dissonance in John's original philosophy, and in how he justifies it to himself as not killing
Even Cecilia's trap has the dashing of hope moment, with her thinking she's won before it all collapses.
I like to believe the 3 minute timer is there to represent the 3 months John had left to live.
What a nice surprise! I had no idea this movie was even streaming yet!
Still, it's something fun to ponder and very much a realistic threat.
hands down one of the best saw movies
49:23 it is weird that John was concerned about Carlos and not the others, but I think the reason John was concerned was that he had no connection with anyone in the game, not to mention how he knew Carlos as a friend
"Epic bad luck." I never thought I would want more Hoffman. But I do want more Hoffman.
With Jigsaw it’s like… you shouldn’t be stealing… but you also shouldn’t be breaking ppl’s fingers and sucking their eyes out for stealing. 😵💫🤟🏾😂
John told them from the get go not to hesitate. Their hesitation is exactly why they lost their games.
Bridget's timing on the "game over" was perfect
The first 2 people spent so long at the start, both wasted a minute out of the 3 doing nothing, it was very doable.
Ik ur not supposed to feel bad for any of the drs but i feel bad for Gabriella ik she was apart of it but she passed her test man she didn't deserve to die like that
I’m not a big fan of horror movies in general, but I do love your reactions to them so it kind of softens the blows🤣🤣
Kinda surprised you are no offense because this is a horror themed channel
John Kramer still has it- deadlier, torturous devices in every movie in this franchise!!! The first kill in this movie was very creative!!!!
AYEEEEE i'm hella early, this is sick. i hope you guys enjoyed the film, i loved how they delved further into the mind of john and his dynamic with amanda brought a very wholesome take to the franchise. can't wait to watch what you guys think!!
Jigsaw basically removed the gun powder from the bullets. So when the guy thought he had a loaded gun he didn’t have anything
This actually makes me so sad for John even with all the terrible stuff he has done
I got done watching saw x today and I started routing for John Kramer and Amanda and as always love your reaction
The worst ever. Just ridiculous. I think all this hype comes from non-fans of Saw.
Thank you! I’m surprised people thought it was good. The ending was garbage
Ending for me could have been better, we all knew the twist was coming, which kinda still have me amazed, but the last trap for the 2 could have been better, in my opinion. In all, I don't think it was bad, but it's not the best the old saws just hit different.
when I say I'm watching every SAW X reaction I mean it >:]
I love this movie so much, so happy we got to see more of John in this one and that you can kinda relate to John in a way
Moral of the story don’t con cancer patients that are in their 80s.
I absolutely love this film , to get some more backstory between John and Amanda.
Nah, Mateo wasted a full minute lol. He had that shit coming
They had already failed before making the first cut
I think he was being petty and a bit hypocritical, which matches the movie nodding to the flaws in his jigsaw logic a number of times.
@@MorriganAtwood I do feel bad for Valentina, honestly. She deserved an extra 30 seconds rather than going first to be made an example out of. As for Mateo, his pronunciations aren’t perfect, but he did understand the rules.
Mateo and Valentina wasted a whole minute beforehand. John literally said “don’t hesitate”.
Besides, he gave them more of a chance than they deserved
Fun Fact: Saw X is a direct sequel to the first Saw film and a prequel to Saw 2
I loved this movie ❤
The first trap for Valentina was very fair to her. If she (or any of them) knew enough about medicine or surgery, they'd understand the importance of the tourniquet. If she grabbed the tourniquet first she would have unlimited time to allow the bloodflow to be cut off before she picked up the Gigli saw which begins the timer. By then she has more than enough time to extract enough bone marrow.
Took me like two react channels to figure this out.
The only Tourniquet I’m familiar with is for phlebotomy to establish bloodflow to perk up a vein
"He doesn't talk when he's behind the observe window" 😂😂😂
The brain itself can't feel pain, as it has no pain receptors of its own.
You’re reactions will be TOP TIER once people find you. I just did and you’re now a staple! You two are hilarious!
I’ve heard that the actress for Amanda hated that she was her most well known role for the longest time. Hopefully with this movie that’s no longer the case, Amanda Young is an icon/legend/the moment and Mark Hoffman could NEVER!
To me, she's always been the girl from Becker 😂
This movie is literally the best of the franchise followed closely by saw 2. At the end of all the movies I hope you guys do a movie rank! I’d love to see it!
38:06 missed opportunity bridge said gab nailed that. instead of she smashed it
For the first time, I'm actually excited for the next Saw movie to come out
The Eye Trap brought me back to the first time I saw The Reverse Bear Trap.
The effects, the lighting, the voice, the atmosphere
saw x left me with a saw head
AYYY ITS PUGGAPILLER I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS TOO MAN ❤️
Why Saw X is refreshing: (A) Bell/Kramer is the star/protagonist for the first time.
*Kramer
I like how john is willing to endure his own trap to help save the kid. John was going to be a father but that was taken away by cecil adams.
I believe it was Chucky who said it best.
“Some people just deserve to die!”
2:45
Such a wholesome photo. Old interracial couple about to share a CBD joint for their joint pains.
In defense of John, the kids he abducted usually have a safe way out. The only one that didn’t was Gordon’s daughter but also that was a time when they were trying to refine johns morals.
For instance, Daniel was probably being protected by Amanda and Jeff’s Daughter was set to be saved by either Jeff or Hoffman depending on the circumstance.
they're just a father and daughter who murder-bonded idk it was cute!
47:25 yep. Goosebumps in the theater.
Twist endings ate kinda a SAW thing. Love this series. Especially the way 7 ties all the way back to 1. Can't wait to see the rest of the reactions
Well tbf both matao and Valentina wasted almost a full minute not doing anything and that costed them had they not wasted so much time they would have survived I do think those people definitely deserved it for scamming dying people who do end up kicking the bucket later except for Gabriela sucks Cecelia killed her
For the Bullets in Parker Sears gun. He took the Gun Powder out of the bullets so the gun wouldn't go off when fired.
Great reaction as always! I had epiphany , the Saw franchise is basically soap opera horror and I am here for it.
39:16 when i saw John holding his both fist hands i immediately knew that this was his plan
That’s why I avoid trailers as much as possible for things I’m looking forward to lol. It’s too bad it reveals so much.
Edit to add more thoughts, here are my personal trap rankings;
Eyeball Trap 9/10
Arm Bomb 10/10
Leg/Bone Marrow 7/10
Brain/Mayan Mask 8/10
Radiation Trap 2/10
Blood-boarding 8/10
Gas Trap 8/10
These rankings are based on how cool they are, survivability and plot progression
The eyeball one was a great concept! Loved the theme of greedy eyes and greedy hands. Only thing that didn’t work for me is what happens after he fails? Does he just sit there and starve to death as punishment? But I can forgive that a bit as it’s literally a rough draft on the spot haha. Good on that dude to put the jewelry back
For the arm bombs, traps where the victim survive are satisfying. You did it, buddy! It was brutal watching him tear into his flesh. Falling to the floor as the bomb explodes behind him was awesome and dramatic
The leg trap is serviceable. God, seeing her stab herself in the bone made me wince. Dying by beheading isn’t anything new. While it’s frustrating how close she got to surviving, I think it was needed for the plot so less characters are talking over one another at the end. …She would have definitely bled out from cutting a major artery too, this trap is not survivable
Having to cut out a piece of your brain is not a trap I would have ever thought of. Gruesome to watch, I loved it. Dude also needed to die for the same reason as the previous trap. But this death was much more satisfying as his face burned to a crisp in a Mayan mask
John did NOT do his homework on radiation!! Amanda’s despair broke my heart
The blood-boarding was simple enough.
Never thought I'd hear a Man of Steel and Saw comparison, but I am happy Cody put those words into the universe 😅
I saw this at the cinema, and it's up there with my favourites of the franchise. However, I sat in the front row so that no one could see me close my eyes during the leg trap! Just listening to the screams was enough for me 😀😀
I literally walked out during that trap. But I was able to sit through everything else
What?? Its already out on streaming?? That was fast!!!
43:46 he took the gun powder out of the bullets, so the gun wouldnt shoot
Heres my response to everyone saying "just crank the dial to 5"cuz pretty much everyone reacting to the Eye Vacuum trap said the same.
I think this dial is similar to a Washing Mashine dial where each setting only breaks one finger and as such if he instantly went to 5 it would only break that finger.
The trap is designed to FORCE you through breaking all fingers one by one, prolonging the pain as much as possible.
I mean fair enough but that’s still not a bad price to pay. My first thought while watching it was more “Wow that’s surprisingly easy considering it’s a saw trap”
He was taking the gunpowder out of the bullets and putting the bullets back in the gun
John Kramer has the ability to anticipate the human mind. He stated that in the early Saw films
I couldn’t get over how different Shawnee Smith looked!and also did all of Kramers games take place in 3 months?
The only movie franchise that makes you root for the bad guy lol
Their were a lot of funny moments in this movie but my most favorite part is when John catches Diego in the taxi cab coldest one liner ever
I’m on John side they deserve everything they get GAME OVER
He's never killed any kids they few he did kidnapped always survived
they took the gun powder out of the bullets thats why john's hands were dirty when the dude with cecilia woke up
32:52 Gabriella’s reaction, me when I just miss getting into the restroom before someone else gets to use it first
I was sceptical at the beginning with the first trap, thinking it was very mild for jigsaw, just turn the dial and break your god damn fingers quick!
Gosh how I wasn’t prepared 😅
The thing about the traps in this one is that they are all completely doable within the time given, it's on them for hesitating and wasting their time, same way they wasted the time of the people they scammed
Bridgette was expecting some of that Kill Bill action in the hospital lol.
I wanted her to have the most gruesome death of all and was very much not satisfied when the movie ended
