Regardless of what you guys may think of John overall as a person and character, he is the reason why us fans continued to watch the movies. Dude is just relatable and human. I think to inject new life into the franchise going this route was a good idea. Which is a hard balance to strike because the Saw franchise is littered with people who are just varying degrees of awful. I absolutely love this movie. I was shocked at how good it was. It made me go back and watch all the other Saw movies. I had only ever seen the first two. After seeing them all I think Saw is my most favorite horror franchise behind halloween now. I disliked Saw 4 and Spiral, but the others were all fantastic.

I love this movie. There's something so f--king funny about Cecelia asking what he does, and he's just like ".... I am... a life coach". Also, interesting point of note (Watch the video or the movie before reading this comment) Cecilia sabotages the others' chances of survival by giving them incorrect advice. She tells both Gabriella and Valentina to beat their traps in a way that makes them slower and more painful - Gabriella is told to target her leg when she should've targeted her arm, and she tells Valentina to cut her leg from underneath when she should've wrapped the saw around her whole leg, cutting from all directions at the same time. It's a neat detail you don't notice until a second viewing.
@NikkiStevenReact, fun fact. There is an escape room in Las Vegas centered around the saw movies. I am not sure of the exact location or if it is even still open...but what a thrill that would be to do that.
You guys have a magic gift to make me just want to buy a big couch, move in, and watch movies with you. As long as Nikki gets to beat up Steven and i just get to laugh at your reactions.
What if…Nikki was correct about the entire plot almost right away. Lol Also yes, if I were *ever* in any situation like this, no way I’d even attempt to survive, I’m accepting death & finding the quickest “nicest” way out. I’m not playing any game.
There isn't redemption for JK. Its just a view in his world and what he went trough in search of saving himself. This movie also justified ALL of the involved peoples fate to be in the end dead.
Yeah and he gave them like no time to do them either! The grossest to me is still from 3 I think? The rotted pig carcasses being puréed onto the judge, that was just so nasty and horrifying
I loved this movie a lot BUT I have no idea how some of these people got through the traps without passing TF OUT before they finished lol, that guy was literally pulling his own brain out and sawing through his own skull....sorry but your nervous system would shut down lol. Cecilia must pay for what she did I hope she gets an entire movie and has to go through an entire factory like Jeff in Saw 3.
13:49 - John’s head is always in pain because of his advanced cancer. He references this fact later in the movie. So he likely thought that his pain after the surgery was because of the procedure and not just his usual worsening symptoms. Very cruel, very devious.
And to answer your question, Steven. Yes, this movie takes place in between the first two films. Its around a few weeks since Saw 1 but some time before Saw 2.
30:01 Yeah, she's trying to heal people. Right. She dug into her like she was nothing, using her organs as a tool without any hesitation or remorse. This woman is inhuman.
39:50 Jigsaw stated at the beginning of the games that these con artists took away the only thing their victims had left, which was hope. My theory is that these games were made extremely difficult to rob these con artists of their own hope.
Man that first guy had arguably one of the easiest traps out there. If he'd just ripped the dial all the way to 5, the machine would have snapped all 5 fingers at once and then deactivated. Yeah it would have been agony, but you can heal from a snapped finger like that relatively easily, especially compared to what most other survivors had to deal with.
The most amazing for me about this movie is; John's first traps were easy enough. "Get the key and run free" basis. I believe this movie marks the first time that he puts more than one in the very same room for a game and there are some things he and Amanda didn't pay attention enough, such as leaving the victims' possessions in the same room/in reach. Also, trusting other people and asking them to be a part of the game, which revealed something else in return, that he didn't believe in first sight. That's one thing he learned. I loved how he designed The Rack trap with some sketches, but he quickly dismissed the idea. After all, he used it in Saw III, on Jeff Denlon's son's killer. In the end, I think they both realized that they need more time to think of interacting their victims first hand. And that's why we started to see Billy the Puppet more often.
56:19 the thing is, most of the traps would really work in real life. When they pitched the first Saw movie they created a _real_ reverse bear trap. People on UA-cam have re-created them and try them on watermelons. Spoiler: it works as intended.
John Kramer is the GOAT! ❤🔥🙌🏻 this movie is the best one and I was happy to see more of John's emotions and life in general! And I love Amanda! So difficult to watch Saw III and Saw VI after watching this one! Between Hoffman and her, Team Amanda for sure! I hate Hoffman but I was happy to see him back! Haha 😜 This movie was really good! ❤
amanda wasnt given a challange, she needed to cut open some one else to get the key, any one would do that in a heartbeat if their life was on the line, if she had to cut it out her self, that would been a challange.
Believe it or not, a lot of these torture devices came from mid evil times some of them with a twist, of course, but they still come from that generation of mid evil times, and always remember there’s nothing new under the sun in order to torture, individuals and human beings in general😮😢
The way Amanda and John chained themselves, I think John was going to be on the Blood Boarding Trap by himself, so all he'd have to do is push the lever, and he'd live.
Y'all need to make a shirt that says "RIP Steven's Arms"with the amount of punishment that they get from Nikki, lol. Fun fact: The boy who is put in the trap with John. He names him"a warrior"? Thats what Gideon(the name John chose for his son, who died in the womb)meant. Question for Nikki and Steven...which Saw trap do you think you would LEAST like to be in?
I love ❤this movie hope the next ones as good love the idea that this went back in time a prequels a good idea this was set between saw 1 and 2 there’s a lot of gaps in the timeline they could revisit go back and fill in other gaps with other prequels (films)
You do realize John Kramer. Is a professional Architect and Civil & Mechanical Engineer. So he is very wealthy and super educated and intelligent. And possibly somewhat educated on human anatomy. But not a doctor. Hence why Dr. Gordon helped him sometimes with traps.
I was pretty shocked that the 10th movie in this messy franchise came out really good best saw movie in years since Saw 2. I hope Cecilia comes back in Saw 11 to get axed in a brutal fashion.
@@pedromatias7608I thought Saw 3 was a bit underwhelming. I definitely think the plot between John dying, and Amanda kind of derailing is interesting, but overall it fell kind of flat. Jeff was not a good lead for the movie, and for a character with such a compelling backstory, he’s honestly so annoying to watch. Amanda going full on psycho and being so 1 dimensional for 80% of the movie was annoying, and I don’t think Shawnee smith plays the act of a psycho nearly as well as she does as how Amanda was in saw 2 and saw x. Like a lot of her lines in saw 3 come off as really cringe. Also the traps felt needlessly vulgar for effect. Like the woman naked in the freezer having water sprayed on her. This was the one and only time we actually had real nudity in the saw films and it felt out of place. The angel death trap feels really annoying due to the fact that Kerry, who was a character we’ve had since the first saw movie, pass her test and then is killed anyway. Felt like she was just tossed away so abruptly, like it would’ve made more sense for her to be the lead character in saw 4 rather than Rigg. Compared to the first 2 movies, and the ones after, Saw 3 has a really “dirty” vibe to it, like I know it’s a horror movie and obviously the saw films aren’t shy of crazy traps, but something about the way he was shot just feels kinda gross, and I don’t think the plot was as cohesive or interesting as the first two.
This movie got so many things right which last Saw movies got wrong. No over the top dumb twists, no innocent people in traps, there's finally a character who speaks about Kramer's bullshit philosophy, as well as becoming one of the most hated characters of the franchise while being a person in the trap. Just a good movie, far from perfect, but I'd say it's the second best Saw after the first chapter
The girl is gonna die. There was no ventilation system in the room, at least from what they showed, so there's nowhere for the gas to escape. So unless someone finds her, which is unlikely, either her legs are gonna give out from exhaustion cauing her to fall back into the room and die from the gas, or she's gonna die from dehydration after a couple of days

Now that's a lie. It's a spin-off with direct references to the saga. And the director didnt say that. He said that wether there'll be a Saw 11 it depends on how succesful Saw X is so it's pretty much confirmed.@@MarkPriest-v6u
Nikki's game is clawing Steven's arm off every trap 🤣love the reactions, you guys are awesome.
Lol
Also yes, if I were *ever* in any situation like this, no way I’d even attempt to survive, I’m accepting death & finding the quickest “nicest” way out. I’m not playing any game.
Same
Nikki looking STRESSED, but I totally get it. That first trap was pretty gnarly. The rest were tame by comparison, but...yeah.
There isn't redemption for JK. Its just a view in his world and what he went trough in search of saving himself. This movie also justified ALL of the involved peoples fate to be in the end dead.
Nikki you dont remember me but you stepped on my foot 15 years ago. I wanna play a game.
HAHAHAHAHHA very funny to see steven laughing and nikki suffering to see
The traps in this film were the most brutal in the franchise for me. Given that John is the protagonist. These traps hit much harder.
Yeah and he gave them like no time to do them either! The grossest to me is still from 3 I think? The rotted pig carcasses being puréed onto the judge, that was just so nasty and horrifying
Amanda had the easiest trap, she’s the only person to have a trap where she didn’t have to hurt herself at all
I just love nicki's reaction 😂😂😂
“Oh fuck! Oh goddamn! Oh fuck no! Oh fuck!” 😂😂😂 Never gets old.
I really liked Nikki reaction to the movie. Because you gave me motivation to subscribe to both of your channel. And I'm watching from Thailand ❤
You two rock! Being waiting for this for ages!!!!! :) xox
The moral of the story is DON’T be a con artist because one of the victims, who would be as smart as John Kramer, will get you for this.
11:49 I love how Nikki is guessing everything right 😂😂😂😂
I've been waiting for you two to finally react to this!!! ,❤❤
Nikki squeezing his arm always makes me giggle 😂
The eyeball trap brought me back to the reverse beartrap ❤❤❤❤
I like the Can't Hardly Wait reference with Amanda's name
13:49 - John’s head is always in pain because of his advanced cancer. He references this fact later in the movie. So he likely thought that his pain after the surgery was because of the procedure and not just his usual worsening symptoms. Very cruel, very devious.
And to answer your question, Steven. Yes, this movie takes place in between the first two films. Its around a few weeks since Saw 1 but some time before Saw 2.
I feel so bad for Gabriela 😢😢😢
When i saw this at the theater didnt realize the guy with the pancreatic cancer is one of the presidents of sons of anarchy
I thought that was him! Prez of the Grim Bastards
"Maybe they're fake."
Love the optimism, Nikki, but when has Jigsaw ever fake one of his traps? 😁
Gotta give it to Tobin Bell. 81 and still got it AND was able to endure getting waterboarded
In the opening trap, I love Stevens excited YES! and Nikki's horrified NO!😅
14:49 "Mom can we get Edward Scissorhands?"
"No, we have Eddward Scissorhands at home."
Movie of the year easily for me
I got my wisdom teeth removed today. And I love saw, so thank you!!!
The most amazing for me about this movie is;
John's first traps were easy enough.
Glad someone mentioned that how did you not know surgery was it done? You didn’t feel nothing sore on your head . They didn’t even shave his hair down
That's what I was thinking. They could have at least made a cut along his head to make it look like it was done.
He is not "really" bad guy but kind of, he is more like punishes people for doing wrong thing against innocent and he don't kill except a few.
Lets face it if we get another saw movie Nikki is getting another saw movie lol 😂😂
So this movie timeline takes place from 1-2 so technically this would be the second lol.
I laughed when u told the “doctor” to rip it all out when he was performing the brain surgery 😂
amanda wasnt given a challange, she needed to cut open some one else to get the key, any one would do that in a heartbeat if their life was on the line, if she had to cut it out her self, that would been a challange.
It's still a challenge, but significantly easier than pretty much all the others.
Report them? NO WAY!!! This is TRUE JUSTICE
This movie was so much better than it had any right to be. It completely made up for how bad Jigsaw and Spiral were.
Poor Nikki! We love you, girl! Steven, you're frickin hilarious!
NIKKI REPRESENTS MY CONSCIENCE
STEVEN REPRESENTS MY MOOD while watching this ., lol
I love the Saw movies! Thanks for the reaction
Believe it or not, a lot of these torture devices came from mid evil times some of them with a twist, of course, but they still come from that generation of mid evil times, and always remember there’s nothing new under the sun in order to torture, individuals and human beings in general😮😢
Omg Nikki had me laughing the whole. Thank you for the laughter. ♥️♥️♥️😂😂😂😂
The way Amanda and John chained themselves, I think John was going to be on the Blood Boarding Trap by himself, so all he'd have to do is push the lever, and he'd live.
This is a prequel set between SAW 1 & 2
After years of watching u 2.... Dude idk how u still have that arm!! No perm scratches or bruises?!😂😂🥰
You do realize John Kramer. Is a professional Architect and Civil & Mechanical Engineer. So he is very wealthy and super educated and intelligent. And possibly somewhat educated on human anatomy. But not a doctor. Hence why Dr. Gordon helped him sometimes with traps.
"So John, what do you do for work?" John: "I test people's will to live in life or death games by putting them in torture devices/traps."😮
I was pretty shocked that the 10th movie in this messy franchise came out really good best saw movie in years since Saw 2. I hope Cecilia comes back in Saw 11 to get axed in a brutal fashion.
Idk. Saw 3 & 6 were pretty good too. But agree on Cecilia tho lol
@@davidfairweather3301 Ugh. I disagree with everything you said. I loved Saw 3. No Saw movie was perfect.
@@pedromatias7608 yeh that’s fine. I know I am in the minority with that one lol
18:24 HAHA good one steven thats funny
Hearing the Gigli saw sound effects in the theaters was so fucking gnarly, my mom was trying to not shriek the entire time
11:41 Nikki guessed it and didn’t even know 😂😂❤
This movie got so many things right which last Saw movies got wrong.
Nikki solving the whole scenario in 11 minutes is sicker than John Kramer himself lol
