  • Here's the entire Test Issues & Fixes + Q&A Playlist: • Q&A + Common Test Issu... .
    OUTLINE:
    (0:36) Tip #6: ATTITUDE
    (2:35) Mini-Tip: HOW to double-check your work
(2:56) Tip #7: KNOW HUMAN PSYCHOLOGY
(9:15) ***Tip #8: DESIGN YOUR OWN TRAPS/PRACTICE TRAPPING (my 2nd favorite tip; my 1st and 3rd favorites are in the Part 1 video)
    (13:24) Tip #8: EXAMPLE 1: ALGEBRA
(16:20) "How good are my traps?" --- HOW TO KNOW IF YOU'RE TRAPS ARE GOOD/USEFUL
    (16:50) Tip #8: EXAMPLE 2: GEOMETRY/ALGEBRA
(19:11) Tip #8: EXAMPLE 3: 1/2 TRUE/IRRELEVANT CHOICES. Check out this ELA video for more: • 3.5 Reading Comprehens...
(21:20) Tip #8: EXAMPLE 4: VISUAL TRAPS (and there are many more...)
(22:18) Tip #9: ENERGY MANAGEMENT: Work 1-2% SLOWER than max. speed. (more advanced tip)
(28:03) Fore more on how to WORK FASTER by WORKING SLOWER and tips on RUNNING OUT OF TIME in general, see this video: • Test Issues & Fixes: R...
    (28:07) Tip #10: STRESS-TEST: a. OPPOSITE, b. STRESS.
(31:00) Why you should NOT watch more careless error videos and go hunting for MORE tips right away. IF YOU GET TOO MANY TIPS AND DON'T PRACTICE THEM you will "TIP" over and be back to square one.
    (33:14) Tip #11: PERSONALIZE:
    a. SHOWING MORE WORK vs. LESS WORK
    b. CALCULATORS/MENTAL MATH
(40:56) ***Tip #12: EXAMINE ASSUMPTIONS (The tip that works when all else fails)
(44:15) Application of Tip #12 to POLITICS and anything else in the real world: MEDICINE, etc...

Here are 2 more GREAT TIPS:
    13. Here's ANOTHER MAJOR TIP that did not make it into the video that I use all the time: Whenever doing math calculations, particularly those such as this one: 10/(0.22) the tip is to do a ***SANITY CHECK via a quick ESTIMATION in parallel (can be right before or right after) with the actual calculation***. So, for example, I would estimate this as 10/0.2, which is 10/(1/5) which would give 50. Moreover, I might estimate the ***DIRECTION of the error*** (i.e. the qualitative aspect of just HIGHER or LOWER) so that I know that since the actual number is 0.22 (i.e. we're dividing by a HIGHER number), the answer should be JUST SLIGHTLY LOWER than 50.
What's one of the benefits of this? For example, when I get the real answer of 45.45... I may well have messed up my decimal point and gotten 4.545... or even 454.5.... or multiplied incorrectly and gotten something even whackier like 23.4566789... The point is, at that point I can compare my precise answer with the INTUITION/ESTIMATION that it should be just under 50 and only 45.45... is LIKELY to fit the bill.
***14. This one can be thought of being related to PERSONALIZATION (TIP #11), but I think it deserves its own spot because it's THAT useful: ***KEEP TRACK of YOUR ERROR PATTERNS***. For example, you might find that you tend to make a lot of careless errors on problems involving adding NEGATIVE #s, or perhaps with DIVIDING FRACTIONS, or perhaps with converting DECIMALS TO PERCENT, etc. As I mentioned in the part 1 video, one of MY most common errors is not re-reading the question after I get an answer. You may not need ALL of the tips in the world (or in these videos). If you're keeping careful track of your most common errors perhaps 1 or 2 tips can get rid of 80+% of your careless errors.
    Hope this serves you well.

For 12 : you have to : a) reconize and push aside your own prejudice, b) seek other point of view, c) organize otherwise information to make sure it wrap well around the complexity of the problem d) see if the answer make sense according to a), b) and c).

15:00 My trap would be dividing by 2 but forgetting to distribute, thus leading to x+6=9, which leads to x=3.
