- This mother was in desperate need of help with her neglected yard and no one knew about it. I believe there a so many people out there in the world that are on the same boat as her.
As I was going between my regular clients I saw this property and checked it out and at first I DID NOT want to do it but something within prompted me to go and knock.
I knew for fact that was GOD so I knocked and asked if I can help her clean up her yard, with excitement she said YES. She then told me that her and her husband separated a few months earlier and really need help putting the rubbish in the front and also needed the front yard mowed and the backyard cleaned up which will be part 2 of this video. The cars in the front belong to her ex-husband which she is still waiting for him to pick them up.

Not everyone does trash and junk haul off. With your removal as well as yard clean up you got my vote.
EVERY and I mean EVERY city has junk removal so people don't just dump things anywhere they please. There is no excuse for the yard and this amount of trash.

Can you imagine how filthy the inside of that home must be with them using the outside as a dump? That mother should have carried that stuff to the curb a long time ago. Poor people can still be clean. You are a great person for making that neighborhood beautiful again.
Yep! My mother used to always have a saying that went " Just because you're poor doesn't mean you have to be trashy ".

I was thinking the same, but either she might not be able to afford the tow service for 2 cars, or if they're separated but not divorced, there might have more legal issues involved that he might still has the right to park his cars there 🤷🏻♀️ 😮💨

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps let him know if it’s not gone by the end of xxx (August), you’re putting them up for sale. Or get the magistrate involved.
I’d just get the scrap metal dealer to come and tow them. The Ute hasn’t been registered for 4 years, so it’s probably been sitting there all that time.
She should call the car removalist/ cash for cars and make money off it. Win win for her.

We don’t know her history with her neighbors. Maybe the neighbors aren’t the problem. Maybe this lady is the neighborhood Karen. It doesn’t take away from this great yard clean up and the favor this guy is doing, but I don’t judge the neighbors since I don’t live there and don’t have the whole story about the situation.

Agreed. Small trash should be cleared.Although it appears the cars are placed in such a way that she is almost trapped in the house. And I doubt she was strong enough to throw the couch or large chair on the lawn. Hard divorce!
Probably not legal, but in writing tell ex to remove cars by a date and if not done call an auto savage company
30 day notice to remove, otherwise bye bye cars.
Would be a shame, they're decent looking cars, might also be possible to speak to the cops about 'abandoned vehices' in this situation. Apparently you can take legal possession if a vehicle has been abandoned on your property long enough if you go through the hoops

You did the right thing to follow the prompting in your heart although you didn’t want to at first. It’s those little things that turn our eyes to see a need in a split second that have the profoundest impact on our and other’s lives.

Great job. The challenge comes when the occupants start taking things back onto the property after they see them sitting by the curbside & decide they must have it back. In the past, I have done many cleanups/cleanouts & I had to do it again because I failed to realize the old saying, "out of sight, out of mind"! That's the downside of doing it for a paycheck! I hope the owners, tenants & neighbors appreciate all of your good work. Cleanliness really can change a neighborhood.
