RacingBrick do you need to remove the engine to fit the motors and rear battery box?
You need to build the RC mod from scratch, but the engine will be still in the model at the end
Are there faster and more powerful engines?
Anyone know if this setup can be used for the LEGO Porsche 911 GT3 RS #42056?
Both are 911s and i have the RS
11 dollars is a bit expensive for motorization instructions, nice model!!
Cheap as hell
1.99 would be reasonable
Free. It's a PDF.
Awesome! These mods are really handy for people wanting a motorisation for this set! It’s quite handy that there’s plenty of room in the model for a motorisation too
also since the car is airy and full of holes it's the lightest of the big scale car sets you can make it move pretty fast...
Pretty cool. I really like the idea of the design.
Great mod and amazing video as usual, keep it up 👍🏻
Wow man. Awesome job. It looks awesome! Great job on it!
Thanks for the heart!
nice video dude 😃
Keep up the good work!
Can it be done with 2 buggy motors?? This will give insane speed possibilities 👍🏻
✘️
It was possible with the rally car, so...:)
What kind of instruction maker do you use to make the instructions?
By the way, I love your mocs.👍
I use LDCad and LPub3d
@@RacingBrick Ok Thanks:)
A while back I genuinely thought all sets had original power functions mod 😂
Well, that'd be really nice but then we'd see 2 Technic sets per year only :D
nice mod!!
I have question. My buggy motor work but it started work with crazy ticking sound. Still work but sometimes it ever stop and cant move. After some Second of traying it work again. What is the problem? Broken gearbox or something that i can fix.
Check this video, you might have a similar issue - ua-cam.com/video/ppw5L6SeegE/v-deo.html
Do you happen to know whether it will work with a AA battery box (if there is space) instead of two AAA boxes? Also where is the servo motor and how have you attached it?
The AA box is bigger and heavier, might be a challenge to fit. The servo motor is in front of thr front axle, all the details are available in the building instructions.
is impossible to see it... I do not understand becascue the instruction part is not free, I want to know before how to do not after, and How is possible that it sterting?
you need to buy the instructions?!
Put tape on the wheels make it drift
Yeha but for better drifts they should make the engine stronger
A motorok es a szervo beszerelesrol van valahol osszeszerelesi rajz?
I have 1 xl motor, two l motors, a servo motor, a ir receiver and a remote, and a few battery boxes, how can i motorise mine ?
❤️
So can I buy the parts and instructions from one place and if so how much?
The upgrade pack of this set is not available yet on Mochub so you can't buy it in one pack unfortunately, hopefully it'll be published there on January - www.mochub.com/user/101
Cool
Is it possible to connect 2L motors directly on wheels without differential?
Everything is possible, but it will stress the motors.
The problem arises when the two motors have dirfferent max rpm either they will try to tear each other apart or the car will skidsteer every living moment.
I bought these pieces:
- 2 XL motors to drive the rear wheels
- Servo motor for steering
- 6 PF LED lights (4 at the front / 2 at the back)
- 2 PF extension cables
- 2 PF AAA battery boxes
- 2 PF IR receivers
- 1 PF IR remote
I also bought the instructions and on page 158 I see that other pieces are needed, but there are no numbers that identify the various pieces. How do I buy them?
The list of all required parts (with part numbers in different systems) can be found here: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-23683/RacingBrick/technic-42096-porsche-911-rsr-rc-mod-with-power-functions/#parts
Where did you buy the parts?
Is it hard to go back and add the motor or lights to the vehicle, once you have already built it?
Yes it is
wow
why not 3:1 bro? it will be 6 times faster than it is,you don't need torque on a racecar do you?
You need torque to accelerate. If the gearing is too aggressive the current protection kicks in.
@@RacingBrick oh ok
I want to purchase the instructions but I want to use one of LEGOs new Hub battery packs so I can control the car via bluetooth on my phone and also forgo the IR reviews and remote. Do you have updated instructions that show me how to use the new LEGO Hub 88009 and new the associated motors?
Not yet, but I'm working on it
@@RacingBrick That's great to hear!! Any idea when those will be available? I'd buy them in a heartbeat!
@@benjilightstone5872 not yet sorry, I have a lot of (non-LEGO) things going on as well so I don't want to promise anything
@@RacingBrick look forward to powered up bluetooth version, thanks
Im using a 12turn rc motor for it so it will go faster
What program do you use to create instructions?
I use LDCad + Lpub3D
Probably with 2l motor would be snappier...
Do the buggati with rc mod
Been there, done that. Not worth motorizing, too big & heavy.
Can this also work with the bluetooth hub?
Not directly, motors have different dimensions
Where to order?
There's a link in the description where the building instructions are available
Do you have an instructions
Sure, look at the pinned comment right above yours :)
Its really cool. But it cost 2x the price of the 911srs....
Like $277 dam dolars is way over priced. Why?
How a few extra parts , few little clables and lights with 2 mottors can cost almost $300.... I love legos but come on now.
This motorization has a lot of Power Functions parts and unfortunately they don't come cheap.
@@RacingBrick i see that. Its really sad.
Do you need any other normal pieces for the upgrade except the power functions from the description or can you bild this upgraded version with the standard pieces from the set + the power functions from the description?
You need more pieces. Here's the list of items - rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-23683/RacingBrick/technic-42096-porsche-911-rsr-rc-mod-with-power-functions/#parts
@Vast Horizon Power Functions is discontinued so those pieces are becoming super expensive on the market. There're other more budget-friendly solutions out there for sure nowadays.
why do you need two receivers?
Because you have 2 XL motors, 1 Servo and 6 lights. One receiver could not handle it.
@@RacingBrick if i will use two L motors and one M motor without lighting can i use only one receiver?
You can use one receiver in that case but with the M motor you don't have return to center steering by default.
@@RacingBrick good, thank you. i like your video=) i want to use M motor as shown here: ua-cam.com/video/rMbUaoUd-zA/v-deo.html
I think it will be more interesting for me and i want save my money)
i i insane!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Buwill are very expensive
It depends on what do you compare it with.
I hav peetsa
Having to pay for the instructions...this is ridiculous...
There are lots of other youtubers who share rc motorization for free and as goos as yours
Then feel free to use those instructions, no hard feelings ;)
Will this mod work on the lego Porsche gt3 rs
Unfortunately not, that's a much bigger car with a completely different inner structure.
