New Loop Rig

Let me take you through how to make my version of the old loop rig. This rig is brilliant and has caught me loads of fish in Norway and the UK. With my rig adaptation, there is no need for crimps and springs.

Hi Stu, will this be ok to bang out with a 5 or 6oz lead? Without the springs taking up the tension on the lower diameter snoods? Does the doubling up with the pulley style take up the tension? I really like the running style on this as i find the springs bog up with sand and sieze essentially on finer sandy beaches. Cheers

@ozz12389 Hello Mate, great Q. Yes, the Pully takes up the tension. I've never had a snood break on me. 5-6oz no problem.
