Need more wagons in the US, hatchbacks are starting to become more popular again, so I'm hoping wagons will make a comeback too.

forget about it. TSX wagon was an exception and they did it just because they had it already - TSX is basically rebadged EU Accord (discontinued).

I've owned a base 2012 TSX Sportwagon for a year and a half. Having driven Honda products since my first Prelude in 1983, I think this is one of the best built Hondas I've owned. The K24 motor is sweet and peppy, the suspension is quite good, the leather seats are among the best in its price range and I love the utility of a small wagon that drives like a sporty sedan. The paddle shifters work very well with the trannie, and the instrument binnacle is old school Honda in a really good way. All in all, this wagon makes me smile every day.

@@ciello___8307 No and No....You need a wagon to go after to 60 faster than 7.5 seconds? When I was in high school the new mustang gt with a 5 speed hit 60 in 6.3 seconds. It is a wagon designed for occasional spirited driving with the primary focus being comfort, reliability and ease of use. I had the sedan version and I loved it. The car has plenty of power and good numbers. If you are single with no kids and drive like you get tickets this is clearly not the car for you. Go to VW where you and the less than 5% of the population can buy a manual.

Nice review - definitely a unicorn. Easier to do than a manual trans swap would be a tune/reflash from Hondata. I did the reflash in my previous '05 TSX 6-speed; definitely the best bang for the buck mod you can do.

i'm driving this car as a sedan. In Europe this Acura TSX is called Honda Accord, why everything is the same only i have Honda badges everywhere. My engine is a R20A3, it's the bigger R18 found in the civic 8th and 9th gen.
It looks like the suspension for the US is softer than in Europe. My car is fairly sporty and rigid and corners like a champ. I've never driven a front-wheel drive car with this sportiness from the factory (without ordering a sporty suspension).
I only can recommend to buy this Acura TSX/Honda Accord with it's crazy reliability

I love my 2009 tsx with the 6- speed manual. I love the heated front seats, but what's missing is all wheel drive, heated steering wheel and heated rear passenger seats! Very fun to drive and it accelerates well! Honda really needs to get back to offering Driver focused cars and bring back more driving dynamics, all wheel drive and manual transmission combos on their sedans. Honda should have continued to build the Honda s2000. I really think it could have gotten by with a mild refresh.

  • @SCQT

Really like these. Obviously, the 6spd and the V6 would have been awesome, but they made the right business choice by a large margin imo. Have never ridden in one but it seems incredibly quiet and smooth, which is really a large majority of what you can ask for some something in this class. Everything else is just a nice bonus.

Acura had a winner w/this car but failed miserably in their marketing/packaging of it...limited options in the US (1 [small] engine & 1 transmission) really kept the car out of most people's view...a third pedal would have gone a long way...w/better effort and marketing, this car would have been a success and still around...It was doomed to "fail" from the beginning in the US through honda's short-sightedness imo

Hello to all. Did anybody encounter problems with the K24, please? I'm talking about the VTC actuator causing bad lubrication/piston rings death/loose timing chain/oil consumption (Honda Bulletin Service SB-10041669-6712). It's very difficult to get good infos here in France (for 8th gen Honda Accord 2008-2015). Thanks a lot in anticipation.

yes my 2.4l acura tsx did have vtc issue... developed a bad oil burning issue that led to the vtc actuator grinding on start up and timing chain ticking /knocking noise at cold starts. it happened exactly after the warranty period 🤨 had it fixed by independent honda specialist...not the dealer for cost savings. cost about $1600 CAD, quote was double at the acura dealership. since then no issues at all. very careful not to get low on oil and change earlier at 50% oil life, and using high quality oil (Pennzoil ultra platinum) because of the reduced oil evaporation rates versus other oils. and its been perfectly fine with no more issues. I believe my problem was caused by vtec-ing and redlining at any opportunity. 😍
