I am so so sorry for your loss. I,too, am a stress eater and gained 75 lbs after my husband passed. After I get my Achilles tendon healed I plan to be back to working on weight loss. You and Cindy have inspired me to get healthy again. Sometimes one thinks you're all alone as a stress eater because so many will tell you they couldn't eat after a trauma. I wish you both the best of luck in this journey! Hugs to you both!

So encouraging. Yes it is very expensive to eat healthy. Almost impossible if you have about four children. My husband and i have cut our portions by more than half. He used to weigh 210 and he is down to 160, i need to lose 20 more, so I will be on this journey with you. Happy birthday Sweet Cindy. GODSPEED.

I’m 54 and was one of the lucky ones until I hit 45. I could eat anything and not gain a pound. Then 45 hit and just smelling food I can gain weight. I’m 6’2” and was 175 forever. Well, at 50 I was at 250 pounds. I’m happy to say at 54 I’m down to 195 and at my happy weight.
I laughed when in a previous video you said there was no way you were going to buy size 40 pants. When I hit 38’s that was it!!! Also, eating healthy is so much more expensive. Keto and then dirty Keto is what worked well for me. You’ve got this Alec!!!

Health is wealth. Enjoyed your video and want to encourage you. I am in maintenance mode since losing 20 pounds this past winter/spring. It’s not easy to lose weight and it’s not easy to maintain. I have to count calories everyday to keep on track. Will follow your progress and cheer you on!!📣

    Just do it!
It's about setting goals, setting obtainable goals (even if it's two or more lbs a week.) 52 weeks in a year.
I'm a diabetic, my weight was 330 one year ago. My numbers were climbing, and I developed fatty liver.
Doctor put me on Manjaro for my diabetes four months ago, I've lost thirty lbs in four months. My sister in law
was on it and told me what to stay away from, (carbs, sugar, bread, potatoes, extra) she had problems with these.
I eat main l meat and vegetables, very little fruit, no sodas. It took three weeks after I stopped eating carbs, sugar then the weight really started coming off. If I have sugar or carbs it takes three to four days before I see my diabetic numbers come down.
So when I cheat I know I won't start to loose any weight for several days so I have made up my mind not to cheat.
I'm not able to exercise walk like you do. Walking and swimming is the best type of exercise.
You will do great just stay focused.

I used the Noom system to loose 50lbs in six months and kept it off for two years. It’s great if counting calories is practical for you. I started backsliding when we semi-retired and moved to a tourist town. Good luck.👍🏼😎

1:21 mark: I presume you mis-spoke there. Lol.
I understand your disappointment, but you shouldn't be hard on yourself. That is an extreme situation. 😔
6:24 mark: You did look good back then. I trust that you can get back to your former self. 👍
192 pounds is definitely not underweight (depending on the height and build, of course). I can only compare that with my ex and my son, of course. My son is a rail at like 150 pounds and 5'9" tall. I consider him to be underweight, like myself.
    Happy Birthday, Cindy! 🎉💐
I wish you the best with your fitness journey (again)! I know you can do this! 👍🙏 Yes, eating right does cost more if you're dependent on the stores. It's much cheaper when you have full control of your food on a farm. I'm disgusted at how much it costs in the stores nowadays. They have a tight grip on us at this point. 😔

    @SHARINGJOURNEY, Fit to Fat? 🧐🤔
Counting calories is not the way to do it. When active, as you are in your job, you need calories. Calories = fuel for muscles and the body's furnace. If you burn more calories than consumed you risk damaging your body's vital organs, thyroid, endocrine system, etc., it is a vicious cycle, especially the older we get. What you need is to shop the perimeter of the grocery store not the center aisles. Cut all processed foods, refined sugars, ANY carbonated drinks, & ANY foods with more than 5 ingredients. Drink water with lemon and lime juice, and eat oranges. This will give you the needed electrolytes you need and help keep your metabolism working optimal efficiency.
Your body needs fats, sugars, amino acids and minerals to perform optimally, and in turn, you'll lose weight, and in return you'll gain muscle and become more tone.
Eating healthy is more expensive-the food system it's designed so people will buy crappy, processed foods because they're cheaper and "easier"-but paying more now will save you big later, in terms of health effects and medical bills, and more succinctly, diseases that become irreversible.
