- Very cool mod. With Duke3D textures and music it is practically new game. I slice first four levels in Honte Experimental and it was good. Modern Honte maps suits to this mod well.

This is the first proper duke nukem mod in gzdoom I've ever seen. It really looks like a build engine game
it’s a really well designed gameplay mod. feels so very close to duke:d with a lot of extra stuff
it pains really well with the partner texture replacement and music mods

I actually thought this was a Doom II map mod for the Build Engine lmao - But its just a badass re-imagining of Dooms first episode that makes it feel more real and less like an Alien AI creating a place for humans, so more like a Build engine game lol

Duke Nukem 3D in 1997 was THE hot Shit. It was a turning point in the 3D shooter Genre and the definition of "cool". Even today, the action and the sound effects are still outstanding. The Build Engine was a very strong tool. Outstanding Game.

I figured I'd watch a bit and be slightly amused and moved on but damn....this was impressive af.

Seriously, I was super surprised to learn this is Doom. I've been playing through all the WADs, PK3s, and GRPs I've missed over the years while I was PC-less. This is totally going on my list of WADs to keep track of. It's going to be one hell of a remaster for OG Doom II, that will breath Build level life into any conversion being played through the maps!
Dear Lord! That's some top notch combat. Brutal Doom really did pave the way for such brutal mods. Love it!

If they had released Duke Nukem Forever on time and it had looked like this, even though it would not have been truly 3D as Quake or Quake 2, I bet that game would have been a box office success, had boosted the franchise like crazy and several more Duke Nukem 3D games had followed. This is all the fans ever asked for: A bit better graphics, more levels, some new weapons and enemies and just awesome action. Nobody asked for the ultimate game that never finished and in the end became a horrible crap.

the music, wouldnt be so bad if Duke Nukem was a fun-boy covered in glow sticks. He isn't though. I think the music is well crafted, it just feels like the wrong genre. I don't feel like blasting aliens, i feel more like i walked into the 'wrong nightclub'
EDIT: Forgot to mention that everything else here is awesome. Fine work. LETS ROCK (also, i think using a mix of original duke voices and remake voices isn't as good as just using the originals, their sound quality isn't as high but the difference is a little jarring and i also think john's original voice acting portrayed a more badass duke. the remakes sound like a parody of a parody)

Are you playing with some high definition audio? Because I'm playing the original mod downloaded by the links in your description, and the audio is the same as the original Duke Nukem 3D.

i remember dn3d coming with tools to export doom wads to the build engine so you can do this exact thing.
I didn't pay attention to the title. I was like oh cool these are neat variations of doom maps on build, wait.. why doesn't he ever jump? Oh man these are some brutal mods do they have brutal duke now? Oh.. wait. This is duke ported over to doom. lol

awesome gameplay video!
I managed to run "DN3DooM" + "Honte Remastered Experimental" in Doom2 (GZDOOM via ZDL).
But the success ends here.
Duke's "extra" commentary voices are missing + Music that is in the video.
I found out that Duke's extra commentary voices can be found in another "DukeWeaponsV2" mod,
but there is a script error between the conflicts of these PK3s (probably).
I found the DN3D textures and the city BG, but I haven't tried it yet...
or I've never converted this in SLADE...or what should I do with it.
Overall, I have no experience with MODs in GZDOOM ....I would like some advice or help.

P.S. Oh if u actually mean the weird diffrent Duke's voice commentary and that HQ music in video it might be a seperate unrelated mod or something.
The voices that come with DN3Doom mod is original Duke's voice acting, and has no music, which is easiest thing to add to your map anyway...

I know the original Duke's voice from the classic DN3D (the audio quality is also recognizable). I meant the "Extra/new" Duke's voices, which are probably added from another mod...
I even found that other mod that includes it, but it doesn't combine with DN3Doom. A script error always pops up.
It's a pity that not all used "mods + new music" are listed in the video(For download). Just a few important mods... which is fine for a start, I totally get it.
Anyway, it's confusing for a beginner (like me, for example) when he wants to have the same gameplay experience, but doesn't have experience in preparing important mods + textures + extra addons... you know.
