My car is identical to yours including color. My wet floor mats were due to a leaking heater core. Just replaced mine. OEM are no longer available so did a mod to put that in.

That’s been in the back of my mind. I have coolant leaks everywhere at this point so I would not be surprised if it is also a contributing factor.

Just dont 1jz or 2jz swap it, too many Datsuns with that already, but in saying that you do get the reliability.

It is neither of those, nor an LS 👍

I haven’t disassembled the booster to see what all is wrong (I do know it was dang near full of brake fluid 🥴) I imagine inside the booster is very nasty and all the bits are probably ruined.

I have a 370z I am parting out and thinking about using the whole drive train and swapping into the Datsun. The VQ37 has some specific issues that won’t make that easy, but it would be plenty of power keeping it NA. Just looking for something mostly reliable and I can easily get parts for. The 6 speed manual will be nice too.

      @@IconGarage Good idea. It’s still within the Nissan lineage, and being a V6 it’s very short, so you’ll have a (front-)mid engine 280 (370? XD)Z
