In GxK it's clearly explained that Kong's species went on a war against Godzilla (and I guess his entire species), and then creating the Great Titan War, because first before all only of Skar King becoming by force the leader of the Kongs just because he wanted to conquer the entier world. Which resulted to all Godzillas, except at least Godzilla itself and Dagon, killed and the remaining Kongs burried within Hollow Earth by Godzilla (while there a group which find home on Skull Island, including Kong's parents). Then, I guess it's after the Great Titan War that Ghidorah came on Earth and become the new titan ruler thanks to the mess the war left and the titans had to recover from. But from what I understand, Shimo arrived and froze Ghidorah the way he is find in 2019 G:KoTM. And also provoked the era where all titans went into hibernation. (and its must be then that Skar King managed to submit and control Shimo after frozing Ghidorah). This until the Second World War where Godzilla and others titans start to awaken due to nuclear/radiations bombs made by humans. Godzilla Awakening was made as complete canon, but due to bas management (or the people behind the movies not even bothering checking it) there now plenty of inconsistencies it have with the current movies. So that it cannot be canon at all with these (and so isn't soft-canon, which btw isn't even a real term/word to start with. Either something is canon to a given timeline, either it is not. There no middle ground). Also, novels must not to be considered canon or complementary with the movies. Because that the thing about any novelizations of a movie. They are adaptations, and adaptations always take place in their on canons from the initial media they are base from. And they always have differences and inconsistencies with the mobies they are supposed to be the novel versions. For example, the movies show that only ONE Ghidorah skull exist and can only exist. No others possible. While in the Monsterverse novels continuity, there a second one straight up from knowhere with an untold origin. So far, Godzilla have never been presented as being bad or evil, and always acting rightfully with justifiate reasons. He's an anti-hero sure but never acted antagonist in any possible ways toward another titan or humans and characters. Why he would be evil even ? I can see better another Godzilla be evil and going the same way Skar King was. I don't think there really true confirmation so far that the third Godzilla is the first one. Seem more like a teasing for upcoming villain than something else per say.
@@dudotolivier6363 well I’m positive now that Skar’s army likely was the Great Titan war, and he likely had a much stronger army then than he does now, considering he’s locked up. Not only that, GxK explicitly says the war was with Godzilla and titans he controlled (titans controlled part may come from the novel, I forget) Point is, I’m pretty sure Kong’s ancestors were branched from Skar’s army in some way, perhaps Skar formed his army to combat Goji and then became evil? I’m not sure, but it’s still very interesting. And hey, perhaps Goji’s species were part of the titans he controlled or something And, there is reason for Godzilla to attack the Kong’s: they were growing too powerful, and upsetting the balance… that’s kinda his thing.

The Great Titan War is said to have been mainly first something between the Kongs and the Godzillas species, then all others titans getting involved into the fight. In GvK and GxK, it's always specified the war between the two species was something between the two species, and in GxK it's said that the Kongs go to a war against Godzilla (and his species). But I agree there must have been something the Kongs and Skar King did to others titans in order these support them against Godzilla, his species and others titans. Because I doubt that even all the specimens of one single titan species could face all the specimens of all the others titans species which exist. As it would be a pretty one sided fight. So, in order to have all the possible titans involved into the war while it only first concern two species only, the two species must had each others titans on their side to support them. Now, about Godzilla and his species having reasons to attack and being at war against the Kongs because they were about to broke the balance. I agree. After all, Kongs species could and likely must have been already bad even before Skar King take the rules. From what we see in GvK, the Kongs' ruins, I always kind feel that the Kongs had a advanced society and were on their way to become like modern humans. With Godzilla's species representing Nature and respecting it while the Kongs grow in powers and more and more don't respect Nature and its balance. Ending with the two being at clash, which reach its peak when Skar King finally become the ruler of the Kongs and start the war again Godzilla and his species and endi'g with the Great Titan War and all the others results we know now. And not the generic "everyone was in peace, all the Kongs were good then one day, one bad Kong arose and submit by force all of his congener and use them to try to conquer the world against their will". The first scenario is more interesting and likely as its matche well with what wr have as official info and onscreen stuff, while the second one just so unimaginative and boring.

@@itsmonkeytime5032 If there no direct mention of Godzilla's species, it because apparently there a rule Toho gived to the people behind the Monsterverse ordering that none others Godzilla than Godzilla itself to appear onscreen (even if its dumb because until here while they aren't directly named/reffered as Godzillas, they are confirmed to have existed in the past, with Godzilla being the endling of his species, and its just vocal mention, not onscreen appearance). If you check all others stuff where Dagon or Kong's Axe appear, you will see none of the protagonnist onscreen in the movies or info materials outside them refer them as Godzillas but "Godzilla-type monsters" or others nicknames in the same vibe. Thus, they are, undirectly but clearly, obviousely Godzillas specimens. Dagon appear in 2014 Godzilla and the comic where Godzilla fight Muto Prime in a flashback. And Kong's Axe, made from a dorsal plate and bone of a killed Godzilla by Kongs, appear in GvK and GxK (there even several axes in the first movie if we look closely). So while GxK only mention Godzilla Skar King and the Kongs once fought in the past, dur to copyrights issues by Toho or stuff lile that (because I think there also a factor that displaying more than one Godzilla would made Monsterverse Godzilla lesser in most things), it heavily implied, see obvious that they fought and kill the others members of the Godzillas species. Because Godzilla alone wouldn't be able to fight soooooooo many Kongs at a single time. In GvK Kong and him fight 1vs1 equally for a good time before Godzilla manage to put him down. And still cost him a fair bunch of energy to do so. And also, we know there was still others Godzillas than Godzilla himself in the past, and they obviousely must have died due to something to reduce suddenly the entire species to 2 (Dagon and Godzilla) then 1 single specimen (Godzilla, Dagon was killed by Muto Prime in ancient human times near modern times). And the others Godzillas would/were obviousely still alive before or when the Great Titan War occured.
The only part that I hate out of any kaiju or giant robot movie is the humans. They're always doing human things. They live. They laugh. They love. God, just do like the original The Transformers: The Movie (1986), and keep them to a bare minimum.
i’m so tired of people using Zo-Zla Halawa as proof of spacegodzilla. the mural depicting it isn’t canon, it was CUT from the film. something that is removed from a film is not canon, that’s stupid. the one who ate a star IS godzilla, they were not talking about spacegodzilla.
Although these are the only Gojiras named (that we know of) there were definitely hundreds and maybe even thousands of different Gojira’s out there at one point. There is a cave painting I think that has been proven canon that has like 5 or 6 different Gojira’s

Since the muto prime is an alpha titan it does make sense in the 2019 film why the muto we see at the end of the film is submissive to Godzilla since he killed there species alpha making them the new alpha.

This is not totally right. As of we know, 2 things might've happened. 1st is that godzilla was on the other side of the earth at that time and godzilla knew that it would be too late to reach there. 2nd is that the titanus gojira species are the protectors of earth from other kaijus, godzilla knew there was only another gojira left and that was Dagon. They each took turns to sleep to replenish themselves and the other one to protect at the time. There are the 2 correct scenarios that could've happened. Also, Dagon died in Philippines

It’s honestly kinda sad how much people want to limit the Monsterverse. They just want to it follow the structure of the older films, when it clearly does so much better when it has OC characters and kaijus. GxK is the highest grossing Godzilla movie, and it was largely OC kaijus, stories, and villains in the film. It’s the Monsterverse anyway, not “American version of Toho monsters” verse.

And it's literally stated in the movie "the one who ate a star. Godzilla." I don't know how much more confirmation you can get. And this cave mural with the "flying Godzilla" is quite literally cut from GvK so the canonicity is completely questionable. So I don't know why people still consider it canon when GxK literally contradicts the idea that the story of the "gojira who ate a star" is connected to that cut cave mural.

Also, novels must not to be considered canon or complementary with the movies.

They are adaptations, and adaptations always take place in their on canons from the initial media they are base from.
